Me Feb 2021
A child leaps through a stream of silver weaved
carefully into dreams that spill
into her waking life
until her eyes
are clear

A silver figure walks
on green plant leaves
red blossoms weaved
diligently
into his hair
each step
connects

Orion still
hunting the
Pleiades still
gracing
the night sky and Sirius -
ablaze with light -
still witness
to all this
while you
see everything
for the first time
and I am glad
you see it
"The moon and the Pleiades have set,
it is midnight,
and the time is passing,
but I sleep alone."

This is the Midnight Poem, an ancient fragment of poetry, author unknown.
I come across it while thinking about the Alhambra, the court with the lion fountain... a poem in the wall... and then the poem mentions the Pleiades... and then I look out of my bedroom window and see it. Speechless.

You know for sure
I'll always
leave the light on for you, Love
and wave it
if needed
signal for you
with all I have
Me Feb 2021
The snow fox hops
into the
snow
head first
and topples over
never mind though
Me Feb 2021
The little girl sits
with her braids flipping
on the wooden swing not
just swinging wildly yet
The greatest shame always was
she says
wisely
to let loose the infinite amount
of Love I carry in me
because

here you wait
you know this is
most essential
because they just wouldn't, for some reason, take it

Beat, goes your heart
and you let it connect
Me Feb 2021
Your stomach wakes you with a shocking
twist you just
docked on to the borders
of that encoded
hurtful spell
a wall of shame
protects
your innermost core
Painful. What to do? I guess work through it... <3
