The Fairies' Melody
Marian May 2013
When Twilight falls the Fairies
Play gracefully upon their
Enchanted instruments
Celtic harps and violas
Join in this beautiful solo
Double basses and violins
Ring out through the calm Night
The Fairies play from Twilight
'Til Midnight
Then move on somewhere else
And play upon their instruments
'Tis the Fairies' melody
For they love living in
Instrumental harmony
With happiness and smiles
From little pink lips
They play upon the prettiest
Bells and chimes ever
Celestas and harpsichords,
Pianos and organs
Raise their beautiful
But meek and humble voices
Creating a tapestry of music
The mandolin also follows
And lifts its voice
And the flute comes next
Beautiful sounding oboes
Sing sweetly on the Night breeze
Next come the wood winds and brass winds
And their beauty cries out
A bittersweet paradise
The most beautiful music
Played while
All humans are asleep
But when Fairies are awake

Two Cats Playing Together
Marian Nov 2012
Together the kitty children play,
Back and forth they sway.
Up came a rat,
And hit kitty's tail,
Then through the room they sail!
(Maine ****) "Mew," said kitty
"You let me have that ball,
"Or sit in the hall,"
(Tortoise-shell) "You old dumb cat,"
(Maine ****) "You're a cat too,
"So crawl in the shoe."

Job 39
Marian Mar 2013
Knowest thou the time when
the wild goats of the rock bring
forth? or canst thou mark when the
hinds do calve?
2 Canst thou number the months
that they fulfill? or knowest thou the
time when they bring forth?
3 They bow themselves, they
bring forth their young ones, they cast
out their sorrows.
4 Their young ones are in good
liking, they grow up with corn; they
go forth, and return not unto them.
5 Who hath sent out the wild ***
free? or who hath loosed the bands
of the wild ***?
6 Whose house I have made the
wilderness, and the barren land his
dwellings.
7 He scorneth the multitude of the
city, neither regardeth he the crying
of the driver.
8 The range of the mountains is
his pasture, and he searchest after
every green thing.
9 Will the unicorn be willing to
serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
10 Canst thou bind the unicorn
with his band in the furrow? or will
he harrow the valleys after thee?
11 Wilt thou trust him, because his
strength is great? or wilt thou leave
thy labour to him?
12 Wilt thou believe him, that he
will bring home thy seed, and gather
it into thy barn?
13 Gavest thou the goodly wings
unto the peacocks? or wings and
feathers unto the ostrich?
14 Which leaveth jer eggs in the
earth. and warmest them in dust,
15 And forgetteth that the foot
may crush them, or that the wild beast
may break them.
16 She is hardened against her
young ones, as though they were not
her's: her labour is in vain without
fear;
17 Because God hath deprived her
of wisdom, neither hath he imparted
to her understanding.
18 What time she lifteth up herself
on high, she scorneth the horse and
his rider.
19 Hast thou given the horse
strength? hast thou clothed his neck
with thunder?
20 Canst thou make him afraid as
a grasshopper? the glory of his
nostrils is terrible.
21 He paweth in the valley, and
rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on
to meet the armed men.
22 He mocketh at fear, and is not
affrighted; neither turneth he back
from the sword.
23 The quiver rattleth against him,
the glittering spear and the shield.
24 He swalloeth the ground with
fierceness and rage: neither believeth
he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
25 He saith among the trumpets,
Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar
off, the thunder of the captains, and
the shouting.
26 Doth the hawk fly by thy
wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the
south?
27 Doth the eagle mount up at thy
command, and make her nest on
high?
28 She dwelleth and abideth on
the rock, upon the crag of the rock,
and the strong place.
29 From thence she seeketh the
prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
30 Her young ones also **** up
blood: and where the slain are, there
is she.

For You, Mom ♥
Marian Sep 2013
I hope your heart mends soon
May the stars console you
As well as the moon
May God get you through this hard time
May the Fairies dry your tears and kiss your cheek
May God mend your heart
You are so beautiful and meek
May you feel better soon
May you stoop to sniff a rose
And dream beside a creek
And may you dance like the flower that grows
And read beneath a palm tree
May the waves cheer you up
And the sand cool your feet
And with seashells fill your bucket up
Smell the salty breeze
Sit beside the ocean with a glass of lemonade
Watch the palm trees on the shore
Sweetly dancing in the shade
At night watch the silent moon
So may God heal your broken heart in time
Watch the flowers dance and waltz
Listen to the bells that sweetly chime
My deepest sympathies

Faithful Memories
Marian Jul 2013
Snow is on the ground,
Faithful memories fill the air all around,
A faint sunrise is painted in the sky;
And a snow-covered church stands nearby.
A covered bridge stands tall,
The trees are snow-covered from last night's snowfall,
All around the song of winter fills the air;
With a horse and buggy here and there.
All the houses are snow-covered too,
This is just too beautiful to be true,
It's so beautiful I'm ready to cry;
And I look up at the pastel painted sky.
This place is too beautiful to be real,
The landscape is just so surreal,
In my heart this place will always be;
My Faithful Memories.

For My Little Reflection
Marian Jan 2013
Part 1

She's just like me
she sprinkles Grace
she's my sis and friend
she's my reflection and shadow
she's my sweetie
her name is Madison Grace
she sprinkles in the most purest ways
she sprinkles peace for everything about her is peaceful
she sprinkles sunshine for those who are in darkness
she sprinkles joy for those that live in sorrow
she sprinkles life for those that think about death
she sprinkles happiness because that is what she is
she showers hope for those that never knew it
I love her a lot
we're the best sisters ever
she is my fairy of the enchanted forests which are beautiful as she is
she helps people that need help
I love her
everybody does
two girls playing in the sunshine all day
wading in the cool stream
splashing water on each other
laughing ringing through the mountains
up the hillside
through the valley full of flowers which we pick and inhale their sweet perfume
through the dale
giggles and smiles so bright
shining sunshine and sunrays in people's life
we're those sisters
we love each other and always will
love forever
love eternal
love forever burning bright
love undying
raining sun
raining peace
raining joy
raining love
raining life
raining hope
raining sweetness
raining blessings
raining pure friendship
sun so bright
shining through life

In The Meadow
Marian May 2013
Sad symphonies still linger on the breeze
And tears like raindrops fall
Memories of yore float back to me
On the dancing wind
The breeze stirs the tall green grass
Bittersweet memories flood through my head
And leave me crying
My tears turn into dewdrops
And wake the world anew
They kiss the silk petals of
Sun-kissed flowers
And make the world
Glitter with raindrops
That had been once my tears
Flowers waltz
To the song of Nature
Played on harps of sparkling gold
And on violas sweet
Violins create a lovely prelude
Of majestic beauty
And suddenly
Little sheer wings
Barely visible appear
And I realize with sudden spark of joy
That the Fairies have come
Their wings flutter and blow my brown hair
And my blue eyes sparkle with joy
Their soft hands gently stroke my cheeks
And their fingers stroke my brown hair
Then their cherry lips
Sweetly kiss my cheek
And then they say goodbye
And I am left alone once more
In that meadow
Where memories returned once more
As they did before
Leaving me sad

Fantasy
Marian May 2013
Castles way up in the clouds
Of the majestic sky,
Unicorns galloping
Up near rainbows,
Doves and horses gladly accepting their freedom
Fairies with their magical wands,
Gnomes sitting under trees,
Elves roaming Fairyland,
Dream worlds full of illusions,
Mirrors reflecting a girl or boy on the other side,
Swans floating upon lakes with their mate,
Oceans with their beauty of eternity,
Wells waiting for wishes to be made
Or coins to be tossed down them,
Never ending paths waiting for travelers,
Halls that go on forever,
Day dreams and childhood wishes,
Enchanted Cottages of beauty,
Pristine forests where Fairies live and dwell,
Waltzing flowers on a lone hill,
Forgotten treasures under the ocean,
Lone vast deserts,
Dew-drops on sun-kissed flowers,
This is my world of fantasy, dreams,
Illusions and imagination.

The Ocean
Marian Jul 2013
The palm trees grew
All along the shore
Salty breezes blew
And stirred the lacy-green leaves
Casting shade onto the sandy shore
The tiny winds blew my brown hair
As I sat watching the waves
Singing a lullaby
To the dew-kissed Hibiscus blooms
Sandy seashells--ocean treasures
Lay here and there on the sand
Little fishes swam underneath the waves
Where the coral grew

Bed In Summer
Marian Nov 2012
In winter I get up at night,
And dress by yellow candlelight.
In summer, quite the other way,
I have to go to  bed by day.

I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people's feet
Still going past me in the street.

And does it not seem hard to you,
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?

Everything is white
Snow is all I can see for miles and miles
Icicles hang from the shivering trees
And the flowers are resting in sweet peace
Until Spring wakes them from their sleep
Sound of jingling sleigh bells
Blow across the wind
Mingling with the sound
Of distant church chimes
Cold bitter breezes sting my face
And I can clearly see my breath
Slowly I homeward trod
To sit beside the fireplace
With a hot cup of cocoa

Tout est blanc

Neige est tout qu'i can see for miles et des miles

Froides brises amers piquent mon visage

Et je vois clairement mon souffle

Lentement j'ai foulé chemin du retour

S'asseoir à côté de la cheminée

Avec une bonne tasse de cacao

For The Poet (Villanelle)
Marian Jun 2014
Over a cup of hot tea
The poet's words onto paper fly
Weaving skillful poetry

His poems I do so enjoy
His words, they never die
Over a cup of hot tea

Sometimes he sings merrily
Other times his finger over piano keys fly
Weaving skillful poetry

His happiness goes on eternally
Yet other times I see him cry
Over a cup of hot tea

Once I saw him by the sea
Where thoughts did like seagulls fly
Weaving skillful poetry

Enjoying the silence peacefully
With a blissful sigh
Over a cup of tea
Weaving skillful poetry

Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind
Marian May 2013
Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
   Thou art not so unkind
      As man’s ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
      Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-**! sing, heigh-**! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
   Then, heigh-**, the holly!
      This life is most jolly.

   Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
That dost not bite so nigh
      As benefits forgot:
   Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
      As friend remembered not.
Heigh-**! sing, heigh-**! unto the green holly...

The Snow Is Falling
Marian Feb 2014
The Snow Is Falling
To The Ground In Thick Fluffy Snowflakes
They Kiss My Cheeks And Face
Quietly And Tenderly It Falls
From Every Overhanging Cloud
The Sky Is Grey But I Am Happy
Because The Snow Is Falling From The Sky
And It Is Kissing My Face
It Places Wet Kisses Upon My Hands
And Instantly Turns Into Water
Oh, No! It Melted On My Hand
The Snow Is Falling Mixed With Ice
It Blankets The Cold, Hard Earth
It Has Fallen In A Graceful Manner
It Sticks To My Hair
The Snow Has Covered Every Tree
In Blankets Of Snow Mixed With Ice
Pines And Furs Are Bending Low
In The Heavy Blanket Of Ice And Snow
Jewels Of Icicles Hang From The Pine Needles
And Branches Of Nearly Every Tree
Winter Is Beautiful Especially When The Snow Is Falling
From The Bleak Grey And Barren Sky
Making Everything Beautiful
Dogwoods Are Sleeping
And So Are The Flowers Of Spring And Summer
They Are Sleeping Peacefully Under The Blanket Of Snow
When The World Awakes
They Will Unfurl Their Bright Beauty
Up, Up Towards The Dawn Of Morning
Winter Is Beautiful And I Do So Admire It
And If You Think About It In The Same Way I Do
Every Season Is Beautiful In It's Own Unique Way
The Snow Is Falling Making The Whole Wide World Beautiful

My Favourite Place
Marian Mar 2013
Bed of roses growing
The kind that were picked for my vase
And put on my nightsand in my bedroom
And a mixed assortment of flowers

This is where I am visiting now
In my mind's eye
Somehow this place is so happy even though
It's a place that's been in my mind because I'm sick

Dolls and stuffed animals on the shelf on the wall
And it's just one long shelf that's on the wall of the entire room
A glass of water on the nightstand along
With the vase of flowers sweet

Soft yellowed linen curtains
Dance at the open window beautifully
Like a picturesque card
That would say, "Get Well Soon" no doubt

**~Marian~
Again, this place came to my mind and I had to write it on paper once more! It is now one of my favourite places to visit through my mind's eye! I have never actually been here this place is just in my mind only!

Twilight At The Ocean
Marian Jul 2013
Lacy palm trees held the sky,
And below that ocean flowed on by,
Tiny seashells left on the cool sand;
And all around Twilight settles on all the land.

Salty breezes filled the air,
And I loved it there,
Sitting on the shore all day;
Gazing at the ocean, a million miles away.

The breezes begun a symphony,
Some sweet and nostalgic melody,
Played to the setting sun;
Our orchestra to me it seemed had just begun.

I breathed in the tranquility,
Of the ocean's harmony,
I was watching the sunset;
Where dreams and time had met.

Seated there upon the cool sand,
Lemonade in hand,
I was breathing in the its beauty;
Of a daydream in nostalgic harmony.

I don't want this moment to fade,
When the hibiscus on the shore balled,
I want to stay there forever;
I don't want this to end...ever!

God is love, His mercy brightens All the path in which we move;
Bliss He forms, and woe He lightens; God is light, and God is love.

Chance and change are busy ever; Worlds decay and ages move;
But His mercy waneth never; God is light, and God is love.

E'en the hour that darkest seemeth Will His changeless goodness prove;
From the mist His brightness streameth; God is light, and God is love.

He with earthly cares entwineth Hope and comfort from above;
Ev'rywhere His glory shineth; God is light, and God is love.

I Cried So Hard My Eyes Turned Red

I Went To The Ocean
And Picked You A Huge Bouquet
Of Dew-Kissed Hibiscus Blooms
Yellow For Sunshine

I Went To The Meadows
And Picked You Some Buttercups
And Some Morning Glories
We Held Hands Watching The Sunsets
And I Finally Presented You With The Bouquet
You Smiled And Placed One In My Brown Hair
I Giggled And Did The Same
I Went To The Enchanted Forest
And Picked You The Bluest Bluebells
Some Orchids And Lady Slippers Caught My Eye
And I Picked Them Too
Along With Some Spring Beauties And Violets
I Made A Huge Bouquet For You
Collecting All The Flowers I Could Find
And When I Was Through
I Handed Them To You And Said
With A Big Warm Smile
"I Picked Them All For You
I Hope I Brought Some Sunshine Your Way
And Put A Smile Upon Your Beautiful Face"

The Blanket Of Snow
Marian Mar 2013
The blanket of snow,
Covered the shivering trees,
For they had no protection from the cold;
And wind that blew the leaves.

The chilly wind doth blow,
All night long,
And a blanket of snow;
Fell to the ground without singing a song.

Ice covered puddles near mushy snow,
That had once been pretty,
When it melts where does it go?
Alas! It is not pretty to see!

Only a few flowers,
Opened their pristine blooms,
And the snow lasted hours;
As we watched it from the rooms.

Winter Again

The bitter air stings my face
And I can see my breath;
Only the birds of Winter remain,
The others have flown South.

Flowers remain asleep,
As the Arctic winds rage.
The only green trees
Are those mighty firs.

Snow and ice have
Rained upon the gardens.
Autumn shades are gone,
Winter has taken the lead.

Winter is such a joy,
When snowflakes kiss your cheeks;
And cling to your hair,—
Oh how I love Winter!

The lake is frozen in ice
And trees are bent over in snow.
At night the wolves howl to the moon
Complaining of the cold.

Silence and long dark months,
And waiting for Spring to dawn.
Slowly daylight lengthens,
And the air grows warmer.

Then on one day,
I ventured outside.
I saw Spring had arrived,
And Winter had flown away.

Hiver à nouveau

L'air amer pique mon visage
Et je peux voir mon souffle ;
Seuls les oiseaux de l'hiver restent,
Les autres ont volé vers le sud.

Fleurs restent endormis,
Comme la rage des vents arctiques.
Les arbres verts uniquement
Sont celles des sapins puissants.

Neige et glace peuvent
Fit pleuvoir sur les jardins.
Nuances de l'automne ont disparu,
Hiver a pris les devants.

L'hiver est une telle joie,
Quand les flocons de neige embrassent tes joues ;

Je me hasardai à l'extérieur.
J'ai vu le que printemps était arrivé,
Et l'hiver était envolé.

Зима снова

Горького воздуха укусы мое лицо
И я могу видеть мое дыхание;

Когда снежинки поцеловать ваши щеки;

We must hold and cleave to time fast,
For the old saying goes the mill will never grind with the water that has passed.
Put God first and yourself last,
For the old saying goes the mill will never grind with the water that has passed.
Spring comes and goes away fast,
The mill will never grind with the water that has passed.
Summer and Fall comes fast for all,
The mill will never grind with the water that has passed.
Winter comes and it goes,
And its Spring again,
Winter glided away just as fast as it arose,
The mill will never grind with the water that has passed.

Get Well Soon
Marian Mar 2013
Vases with lots of pretty flowers
Nod and sway and dance in the breeze
That blows from the open window
Notes and cards saying, "Get well soon!"
And I think to myself, "Easier said than done"
Balloons swaying and dancing on the walls and ceiling
And teddy bears and little tokens of lay all around
Story books of such lovely adventure lay on the nightstand
And one lays inside my hands, as I read on
Such a lovely place to go but one that only people can see
In their minds
But I am visiting there today along with the others
Who do not feel well

I dug, beneath the cypress shade,
    What well might seem an elfin's grave;
And every pledge in earth I laid,
That erst thy false affection gave.

I pressed them down the sod beneath;
    I placed one mossy stone above;
And twined the rose's fading wreath
    Around the sepulchre of love.

Frail as thy love, the flowers were dead,
Ere yet the evening sun was set:
But years shall see the cypress spread,
    Immutable as my regret.

Dream Creek
Marian May 2013
Lacy ferns growing
By the creek at Night
The creek is forever flowing and singing
Especially tonight
A full Moon hangs in the sky
And the Fairies are dancing in the Enchanted Forest
And as the clouds are passing by
I'm laying down by this creek getting my rest
'Til all at once I fall asleep
And my head is flooded with the most pretty dreams
That forever are with me while I sleep
By this Enchanted Creek
Where the Fairies often are
Hushing the world to sleep
Telling them to wish upon a star
Then go to bed and fall asleep without a peep
Lacy ferns growing
By the creek at Night
The creek is forever flowing and singing
Especially tonight
I'm laying here dreaming the hours away
I've stepped into a whole new world of sunshine
I've stepped into a whole new world and I'm going to stay
I've stepped into a whole new world that is mine
I'm laying by this creek getting my rest
'Til all at once I fall asleep
And my head is flooded with the most pretty dreams
That are forever with my while I sleep

In The Meadow
Marian Aug 2013
I prefer to worship
God outside
Knelt in the tall grass
Eyes closed towards the sun
Hands folded in reverence
Sweet breezes softly sway
I prefer to worship God
Beside the roaring waterfall
Head bowed
The breezes sing like a choir
And the waterfall praises God
In it's simple yet majestic

For The Old House
Marian Aug 2014
No more light through the window doth glow
No more wisteria vines to climb and grow
Grandparents long since dead
The home remained abandoned wondering what lied ahead.
***** never more to play
Piano keys crushed by cruel hands that day
Torn, broken, and abused
Deceived, tricked, and misused.
Farewell to the best home with rosy hue
Farewell to the light shining through
You were torn apart never to be mended
Life's joy inside your walls all to soon had ended.
We remember you with smiles through our tears
For we miss seeing the home we saw for many years
As long as I can remember and before
You were always there with old cherished door.
Though still gone, you're preserved inside our heart
The best keepsake box that will never break or fall apart
And while I miss you especially on days like today
Forever in my poetry you will safely stay!
Although I never once lived inside those priceless walls
My heart to you calls
And as fresh as the morning is new
Is my poetry and love for you.

Dedicated to my Mom, Hilda!!! ~~~~<3
I was recalling how her home was torn apart
Last summer by cruel bulldozers!!! ~~~~<3
Poor Mom had some lovely memories inside that home...
I feel so sorry for her...and even though it has been
Almost a year now, I still miss it and I am sure she does too!!!
So here's my poem of comfort for her
And what we used to call "The Old House"
Which Was Destroyed In 2013!!!
Please Enjoy My Poem And Forgive
My Inane Ramblings....I Apologize...
I'll Try To Do Better Next Time!!! :) ~~~~<3

Evening
Marian Jan 2013
Sunrays are fading,
It's the end of a pretty day,
The morning was elading;
I'm sorry days end this way.

But I have always loved the beautiful night,
The Moon casting her rays into my room,
Makes such a pretty sight;
Night is the time when roses bloom.

Dewdrops glisten on the roses,
Like sparkling jewels,
The cold settles on Fairies' glowing cheeks and noses;
It's the time when they sit or lay upon toad stools.

The Moon's rays are fading from my lawn,
The Moon's rays are fading from sight,
It's no longer night it is dawn;
It is morning no longer night.

Happy Birthday, Dad! ☺♥
Marian Dec 2013
Happy Birthday in Fairyland
May the birds around you sing
For you're dancing in the Fairy Ring
Oh, Happy, Happy Birthday, Dad!
May the flowers in the meadow dance
Because it's your Birthday today
And I'm hoping it's perfect in every way
Oh, Happy, Happy Birthday, Dad!
So blow out the candles on your cake
While I'm hoping your wishes will come true
Because if anyone deserves to have their dreams fulfilled, it's you
Oh, Happy, Happy Birthday, Dad!

Icicles hang from the trees
The snow keeps falling with joy
For she's pleased to keep us company
The frozen pond is where
The water birds of Summer used to swim
Too frozen now for such sport
But the frozen water provides
Ice-skating fun for you and me
Oh such beauty, even such a humble poet as me
Is at a loss for words
Words that better describe
My feelings for Winter
But I am content
Just being a simple poet

Part I

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
It's lacy shadows reflecting into the lake
As it moves across the sky silently
Like a bowl that tips to it's side and spills out
D. R. E. A. M. S

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
Where breezes blow and stirr the trees
And the sweet smell of lavender
Drifts through my bedroom window

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
Where dreams forever are
And where dreams are always pretty
But where they never end

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
Where dreams forever reside
And where they always come true
Under the shimmering Moon there's a place for me and you

My Harp of Love I played for you, each of you
My Harp of Love I played for you with waltzes sweet
We danced and twirled to each song and giggled too
My Harp of Love I played until the Night was through

My Harp of Love I played for you
To make you waltz and dance no matter where you are
My Harp of Love I played to you
Without a single care

My Harp of Love I played for everyone
Each and every listener dear
My Harp of Love I played until I was done
With songs enchanting loud and clear

My Harp of Love I played for friends
I wish it would go on forever
But here I must end
But with one last song

The Hourglass Of Time
Marian Jan 2013
The hourglass with sands of time,
Time of beauty and delight,
Time of Nature peaceful and sublime;
Now time has ended it's not even night.

It's too late time has all too soon come to an end,
The hourglass of time now lay broken,
The sand flies into the wind;
And the pieces of broken glass in the ocean waves now hath sunken.

Another Thunderstorm
Marian May 2013
The wind is picking up
The sky is turning black
My fears are placed into a cup
Then dumped into a sack
I am scared of thunderstorms, you see
Which makes me feel odd
When so many
Like thunderstorms
It's not the thunderstorms
It's the thunder and lightening
That has me scared
No...Not scared
But frightened
Nobody understands
Because... Well, I'm just myself
Where has evening gone?
Not long ago the sun was
Shining brightly
Now.... Something
Worse than Night
Has Visited the sky...
A
Thunderstorm

Devil's Elbow
Marian Aug 2013
Why they call it Devil's Elbow,
I don't and never will know,
Because this is the most beautiful place I've seen;
It's so beautiful like a dream.
There are fir trees on the cliff behind the lighthouse dear,
Oh I do so love it here,
A light sheen of mist fills the air around the trees;
The sunset reflects on the sand which blows away in the breeze.
The majestic seagulls walk on the shore and fly in the air,
So freely and happily without a care,
Beautiful waves crash against the boulders in motion;
The seagulls sing a song of the ocean.
The beacon's light guides the ships at night,
Oh the beauty of it's light,
On and on the waves crash and flow;
Oh I love Devil's Elbow!

Balloons In The Breeze
Marian Nov 2012
Drifting in the air,
Where do they go? I know not where.
Soaring way up high,
Flying beautifully near the fluffy white clouds in the royal blue sky!

Floating lazily above the earth,
This is no mirth!
This is imagination,
And my own creation!

Way above the trees,
Flying in the cool breeze!
Till you land in the creek at the end of day,
Deflated there you lay!

Yet there are other balloons floating in the sky,
You were my favorite of all balloons soaring high!
We can blow you up again,
And watch you float up high and win!

Psalm 104
Marian Sep 2013
Bless the Lord, O my soul.
O Lord my God, thou art
very great; thou art clothed with
honour and majesty.
2 Who coverest thyself with
light as with a garment: who
stretchest out the heavens like a
curtain:
3 Who layeth the beams of his
chambers in the waters: who
maketh the clouds his chariot:
who walketh upon the wings of
the wind:
4 Who maketh his angels
spirits; his ministers a flaming fire.
5 Who laid the foundations of
the earth, that it should not be
removed for ever.
6 Thou coveredst it with the
deep as with a garment: the
waters stood above the
mountains.
7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the
voice of thy thunder they hasted
away.
8 They go up by the mountains;
they go down by the valleys unto
the place which thou hast
founded for them.
9 Thou hast set a bound that
they may not pass over; that they
turn not again to cover the earth.
10 He sendeth the springs unto
the valleys, which run among  the
hills.
11 They give drink to every
beast of the field: the wild *****
quench their thirst.
12 By them shall the fowls of
the heaven have their habitation,
which sing among the branches.
13 He watereth the hills from his
chambers: the earth is satisfied
with the fruit of thy works.
14 He causeth the grass to grow
for the cattle, and herb for the
service of man: that he may bring
forth food out of the earth;
15 And wine that maketh glad
the heart of man, and oil to make
his face to shine, and bread which
strengtheneth man's heart.
16 The trees of the Lord are full
of sap; the cedars of Leb'-a-non,
which he hath planted;
17 Where the birds make their
nests: as for the stork, the fir trees
are her house.
18 The high hills are a refuge for
the wild goats; and the rocks for
the conies.
19 He appointed the moon for
seasons: the sun knoweth his
going down.
20 Thou makest darkness, and
it is night: wherein all the beasts
of the forest do creep forth.
21 The young lions roar after
their prey, and seek their meat
from God.
22 The sun ariseth, they gather
themselves together, and lay them
down in their dens.
23 Man goeth forth unto his
work and to his labour until the
evening.
24 O Lord, how manifold are
thy works! in wisdom hast thou
made them all: the earth is full of
thy riches.
25 So is this great and wide sea,
wherein are things creeping
innumerable, both small and great
beasts.
26 There go the ships: there is
that leviathan, whom thou hast
made to play therein.
27 These wait all upon thee;
that thou mayest give them their
meat in due season.
28 That thou givest them they
gather: thou openest thine hand,
they are filled with good.
29 Thou hidest thy face, they are
troubled: thou takest away their
breath, they die, and return to
their dust.
30 Thou sendest forth thy
spirit, they are created: and thou
renewest the face of the earth.
31 The glory of the Lord shall
endure for ever: the Lord shall
rejoice in his works.
32 He looketh on the earth, and
it trembleth: he toucheth the
hills, and they smoke.
33 I will sing unto the Lord as
long as I live: I will sing praise
to my God while I have my
being.
34 My meditation of him shall
be sweet: I will be glad in the
Lord.
35 Let the sinners be consumed
out of the earth, and let the
wicked be no more. Bless thou the
Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the
Lord.

My Song Of Winter
Marian Jan 2014
My song of winter
I sing in a sad minor
A song of snowflakes
And howling winds
A song of icy ponds
And of icicles
Slick with frozen rain
A song of sleeping flowers
And sleeping animals
I sung about sleeping feline kitties
On a rug before the blazing fire
In the hearth
I sung about snowdrops
Hidden 'neath the blanket of snow
I sung about the pine needles
That winter fairies play
Just like they play their harps
Such a melodious song they play
I sung about you
And I sung about
How I can imagine us
Ice-skating on those frozen ponds
I sung about frosty dews
Sprinkled on the hidden grass
Buried beneath the snow
A blanket oh, so cold
My song of winter
I sung to the fairies
I sung to them
Just what I am singing
To you
Right now
My song of winter
I sang
Until winter
Glided away

Cherry Blossoms
Marian Sep 2013
Little pink petals are falling
From the tall, tall cherry trees
Little pink petals land on my cheeks
As I look up into the turquoise sky
They land on beautiful paths
And land sweetly in the green grass
I love sweet Cherry Blossoms
Their beauty is so pristine
Cherry Blossoms are falling
Falling gracefully from the trees
