For My Rosy Sis
Marian Mar 2013
This is for YOU, my rosy Sis
My Sis so full of Grace
I love you more than you'll ever know
Because your my Sister of Grace

You are more beautiful than the
Hibiscus flowers that you like so well and speak of
Because you are you and you're my Sis and Fairy
And that makes YOU special because you're my dearest Sis!

And when we write each other
I always appreciate your long letters
They are so lovely and pretty
And I love hearing from you

My special Sis, you turned twelve this year
And I cannot help but say again even though I
Already have: "Happy Birthday, Sis Madi!!"
She's the only dearest Sis I have

Because she is the dearest one
And that makes her even more than ever
How sweet is she her words are pure and wise
And I love seeing them before my blue eyes

*~Marian~
For my DEAREST sis, Madi!! Who lost her tablet so I hope it won't be long before she returns to HP!!!
I am eagerly waiting for ya, Sis!!! <3

Dewdrop Cottage
Marian Mar 2013
Part I

Where flowers grow and sway
And where dew kisses their satin cheeks
Tall trees provide shade in the hot summertime
And breezes rustle the forest leaves.

Stars twinkle and wink at Night
Happily so merry and gay
And the Moon watches happily o'er
This beautiful enchanted place.

Coblestones provide such a lovely walkway
Leading to the pretty cottage
Where tall rosebushes climb
The trellis where at Night their buds unfurl.

Such beauty that *ONLY
Jesus can create
And as I stand here gazing at the beauty of Nature
I think of the Holy Creator Who made this whole world
And I think of how Jesus smiles while looking at His creation.

Autumnal Leaves
Marian Mar 2013
Fresh smooth leaves now turn brittle
And different colours
They float from the trees
And in Winter they're covered in Jack Frost's robe.

Country lanes full of twirling leaves
Lanes which lead to warm comfy homes
Where smoke curls up out of the rock chimney
And a familiar warmth returns.

Making me forget about the chilly air and breezes
Home sweet home and the home is so enchanting
A home where only pleasentness lingers in the air
A home where warmth, friendship and love grow together.

Such lovely scenery that only my mind's eye can see
Such breath taking Autumn beauty
Leaves dance near this house
And I feel so happy I could dance with the Autumnal leaves.

I Feel For Thee
Marian Mar 2013
I feel for thee, dearest Mom
I understand how well you fear
The thought that your cats may go to homes where
They might be mistreated

But as I have wrote you before in another poem of mine
I will get them back for you and do everything I can
To make sure that they come back purring in your arms
You will hopefully see again Cookie's dear face

But even if you get your two cats back
I shall try to be happy because I plan
To hopefully adopt Ruby too if I can
But I still miss my kittens Nicky and Jami Lee

I see Nicky's dear face and remember how I held
Him in my arms and how he looked so cute
And also how he would look into my eyes so
Puzzled like

Oh how I miss Nicky and his sister Jami Lee
I remember how I gave my kitten Nicky
The nickname of my best friend
And how it hurts so that my two kittens were given away.

So do not be sad, my dearest Mom
I shall wipe away your tears
Because you'll see your cats
And I'll have my new cat (hopefully) Ruby.

Cat Island
Marian Mar 2013
Part I

Windows flung open and the breeze stirs
The yellowed muslin curtains
And on the windowsill lies our precious Feline Beauty
As she basks in the warm sunshine

Birds warble and chirp as if to sing her to sleep
The rest of the cats are out walking on the sandy shore
Playfully they pounce on sand covered sticks and palm leaves
And sweetly play the hours away

Later on in the evening they come
Up to the house for their long sought meal
Little noses eagerly waiting for the dish to be set on the floor
And little cries escape "Meow"

Pretty soon it's bedtime
And the naughtiness begins
Spools of thread unraveled
And the rest swing on the blinds

The Sounds Of Night
Marian Mar 2013
Part I

Cicadas and katydids
Sing from the branches of the lilac bush
And whippoorwills call
From the lacy green weeping willow tassels

And fragrant buds unfurl their petals
While owls hoot to each other
And the Moon looks silently on
While Fairies dance and sing

And I watch the Fairies dance
On the enchanted Moonlit Forest path
And as they dance they sing their enchanting lullaby
And hush the whole world to sleep with a sweet "goodnight"

*

Part I

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
It's lacy shadows reflecting into the lake
As it moves across the sky silently
Like a bowl that tips to it's side and spills out
D. R. E. A. M. S

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
Where breezes blow and stirr the trees
And the sweet smell of lavender
Drifts through my bedroom window

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
Where dreams forever are
And where dreams are always pretty
But where they never end

Goodnight under the shimmering Moon
Where dreams forever reside
And where they always come true
Under the shimmering Moon there's a place for me and you

Hello, My Friends!
Marian Mar 2013
Hello, my friends!
I am so glad to be here
Happily writing with pen and ink
Or typing on the computer

Hello, sweet friends!
It's so wonderful to be here, my dears
I'm so happy I met you, dear friends
Ever since I first joined in this huge circle of poets

Hello, my friends!
Pretty soon I'll say "goodnight"
But I shall see you very soon I hope
And I'll greet you with hugs tight

Goodnight, dear friends!
I'll see you soon
I shall meet you in Dreamland tonight
Where Faeries sprinkle dreams into our heads

Goodnight, sweet friends!

Get Well Soon
Marian Mar 2013
Vases with lots of pretty flowers
Nod and sway and dance in the breeze
That blows from the open window
Notes and cards saying, "Get well soon!"
And I think to myself, "Easier said than done"
Balloons swaying and dancing on the walls and ceiling
And teddy bears and little tokens of lay all around
Story books of such lovely adventure lay on the nightstand
And one lays inside my hands, as I read on
Such a lovely place to go but one that only people can see
In their minds
But I am visiting there today along with the others
Who do not feel well
But I only wish it were just me who is there

*~Marian~
This is all made except for the fact that I do not feel well and so this place slipped into my head!!
Hope you enjoy!!

Tropical Paradise
Marian Mar 2013
Part One

Cool sand upon the Tropical shore
where footprints are inprinted into the sand
so sweet and sad and pretty
pastel sunsets nearly bring me to tears
such a longing to see a tropical ocean myself
but I remember I can see them through the pictures
that I look at which inspires my poetry
so right now in my mind's eye I am at the ocean
and the breeze is blowing my golden-brown hair
I love the tropical oceans and seas wherever the may be
vivid sunsets and sunrises of such lovely colour
palm trees are dancing and swaying in the breeze
oh how I can see this in my mind. . . All of it so clearly
I can see and hear the singing waves
the dancing trees
the fishes which swim under the ocean
and so much more. . . I see it all!
Ever so vividly, ever so clearly!

Tropical Beauty
Marian Mar 2013
Part One

Tropical Moonlit Nights full of beauty
with the singing lullaby of the waves
such a picturesque Night with twinkling stars
underneath a deep-blue sky
palm trees sway in the summer night breeze
and the hibicus flowers bloom at Night
in the morning the dewdrops kisses their satin cheeks
and the hibiscus flowers smile at the dew
which are like jewels surrounding their beauty
tropical waterfalls surrounded by ferns, moss
and tall majestic palm trees
on the water sits moss-covered stepping stones
and bubbling, flowing, and singing loudly is
the tropical waterfall which holds such infinite beauty
and sometimes when it rains a rainbow the sign of promise
will arch over the waterfall and show off its bright colours
then ever slowly it will fade and pretty soon it is hidden
behind the veil of the sky where it will sleep
then awaken and show itself once more

A Cold-Rainy Night
Marian Mar 2013
The rain drips pitter patter,
On this bitter cold and rainy night,
Drip drip Pitter Patter;
And this evening there were no sunsets bright.

Heaven's tears washing my window,
It's so cosy inside and so I write,
Tomorrow there on the ground will be snow;
Sparkling with the morning light.

But tonight-. . .

Welcome to Fairyland!
Come dream the hours away,
Then dance with me and the Fairies across the cool sand,
And find the beauty in every day!

Come with me to Fairyland,
Where the Fairies will dance with me and you,
Be sunshine across the warm summer sand;
But I promise your days here will never be blue.

Walk with me to Fairyland,
Where days will never fly,
Where time is not just a grain of sand;
And where dreams and wishes will never die.

Psalm 142
Marian Mar 2013
Psalm 142*

I cried unto the Lord with my
voice: with my voice unto the
Lord did I make my supplication.

2 I poured out my complaint
before him; I shewed before him
my trouble.

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed
within me, then thou
knewest my path. In the way
wherein I walked have they privily
laid a snare for me.

4 I looked on *my
right hand,
and behold but there was no man
that would know me: refuge
failed me; no man cared for my
soul.

5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I
said, Thou art my refuge and my
portion in the land of the living.

6 Attend unto my cry; for I am
brought very low: deliver me from
my persecutors; for they are
stronger than I.

7 Bring my soul out of prison,
that I may praise thy name: the
righteous shall compass me
about; for thou shalt deal bountifully
with me.

Psalm 150
Marian Mar 2013
Psalm 150**

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise
God in his sanctuary: praise
him in the firmament of his
power.

2 Praise him for his mighty
acts: praise him according to his
excellent greatness.

3 Praise him with the sound of
the trumpet: praise him with the
psaltery and harp.

4 Praise him with the timbrel
and dance: praise him with
stringed instruments and organs.

5 Praise him upon the loud
cymbals: praise him upon the
high sounding cymbals.

6 Let every thing that hath
breath praise the Lord. Praise ye
the Lord.

My Haven (Part I)
Marian Feb 2013
Off to my haven I go,
To read my precious books,
While from the clouds falls snow;
And while I read I see how the landscape looks.

Sometimes I go there to cry,
And find much needed comfort there,
And when I get bored and I heave a sigh;
I go to my haven and sunshine once more pervades the air.

Autumn
Marian Feb 2013
Leaves floating down carried in the breeze
Sunrays on the autumn path
Leaves with sparkling dewdrops
Are jewelry to the tree branches
Winds howl and growl at Night
And make me shiver underneath my warm comforter
Brittle leaves from last year’s autumn
Rustle in the crying wind
And I snuggle deeper underneath my blankets
Roses are no longer blooming for it is now autumn
And all the roses are now

Summer
Marian Feb 2013
Summer is the time for buzzing bees and singing cicadas
Summer is a hot dry time when all the world is parched craving to drink something cold like ice water
It becomes too hot to walk much outside
Birds call to each other from swaying trees that blow in the cool breeze
Flowers dance in the cool breezes showing off their beautiful colours bright and bold
The sweet smell of honeysuckles drift
From the enchanted forests and woodlands beautiful
Nature herself blooms as the flowers that dance in the fields and meadows
And love blooms in my heart for everybody like lily of the valley whose sweet perfume was made by Fairies
Everything is like a Fairyland as I sit on a mossy boulder by the creek
Here it is that I have the sweetest dreams that the Fairies bestow me with
And I am happy as I bathe my feet in the coolness of the mountain stream
Japanese irises blooming sweetly their petals so pretty and delicate for the Fairies wove them into a tiny stem of green and made a flower

Grace
Marian Feb 2013
Grace. Grace for me,
She brings Grace forever and eternally,
Grace is like the sunshine;
Forever. Forever mine.

When I was sad she helped me up,
And placed in my hair a yellow buttercup,
She is ALWAYS there for me and I for her;
The cats always love to beside her purr!

Grace is laughter, laughter for me,
Grace is like the graceful waves of the sea,
Grace is mine;
Grace is as pure as sunshine!

She is an angel with wings,
And a kind heart that forever sings,
That sings of peace and love;
And flys upon wings of a dove.

Graceful is my Grace,
She always puts things rightfully in their place,
So things are just as they should be;
Grace forever made for me!

Palm trees bow to her,
And kittens forever purr to her,
She wears a hibiscus crown;
While all the leaves come tumbling down.

Grace loves flowers,
Which sing to her in the long weary hours,
Which comforts her when she cries;
And lifts the burden so she won't sigh!

Grace is amazing,
Grace is saving,
Grace is love;
And she is a peaceful dove!

Never from us depart,
For that would leave us with a broken heart!

The song of the wind and the siren of the sea,
She plays on her cello to me,
She with such beautiful song;
Plays all day long!

Such a sweet sister of mine,
Playing a song of joy and sunshine,
She's my Fairy from a far away land;
As we dance and sing through the sand.

When sadness comes to a broken heart,
We're known to cheer it up with a bright start,
Though miles away we may be;
She's still the sweetest sister to me.

Love unfurls it's red flower,
And darkness never comes to this glad hour,
Dancing through the waves of time;

Sonnet: Forests
Marian Feb 2013
Fairies live in the Enchanted Forests
Where breezes cool their beautiful faces
A forest where there are never tourists
Where Fairies are dressed in pretty laces
Where sunrays shine across the Forest path
So picturesque, beautiful, and divine
Have you seen this place? No one ever hath
Except me and the Fairies of Sunshine
This is where the beautiful Fairies dance
Forever and into eternity
Where breezes blow and in one quick sweet glance
They fly away where I cannot them see
Tonight they'll be singing a lullaby
And the Moon will watch from the deep blue sky

Winter's Blanket Of Snow
Marian Feb 2013
Snow. . . covering each and every branch of every tree
the ground now slumbers with blankets of snow on top of her
Winter now dances through the bitter cold air
with a crown of snowflakes in her hair
and with a robe of grey to match the dull sky
her fair white hands reach out to touch the dazzling snowflakes
which fly through the air
and land upon her hair
snowdrops hidden under their blanket of snow and ice
and all the world is sleeping
all except Mother Nature, the Snow Queen, and Winter
who stay awake to give some light to those who are still awake
dogwood blossoms haven't even opened their buds to greet the bitter air
and the bleeding hearts have never yet greeted Spring
for it is still Winter
and all the birds have flown south while Winter's birds
have flown north to greet the cold
while other birds stay here year round
without leaving whether it's hot or cold or just right
icey covered creeks are frozen cold from Winter's
cold blast
and everything is a white paradise
Wind is blowing every night
to signal it is cold
while I shiver and fall back to sleep under my own warm comforter
and the Moon's shadows dance into my room through my bedroom window
and Stars twinkle in Night's black gown streaked with midnight-blue
such picturesque beauty that only poets can pen
with their quills and feather pens dipped in black ink
stacks of papers describing millions of different themes. . .
God, Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Flowers, Night, Midnight,
and many other different themes which poets love

Flowers all too soon will die,
Until when you see them again,
All at once you'll see them under the deep blue sky;
When their new life will begin.

Happy will that time be,
Never will any be like it again,
That time when they smile at you and me;
When their new life will begin.

That will be a happy day,
To see them once again,
This must be the best way;
When their new life will begin.

Short though their life will be,
You will always see them again,
They will be smiling and dancing at you and me;
When their new life will begin.

For Madi
Marian Feb 2013
I cried and nearly wept when Dad read me your letter,
I hope you come back soon, I hope you feel better,
My heart is nearly broken;
Truer words I have never spoken.

Let her come back before my heart breaks,
These words I hope she will hear me speak,
Please come back before I feel blue;
You have always been so kind to me I love you.

Tears trickle down my cheeks one after another,
I hope I have never been your cause to leave even for a little while or a bother,
I can barely say the words, "Goodbye";
So all I can to is cry.

All the happiness from me seaped,
I am crying and my my heart is weeping,
I cry and I had weeped;
Always remember I love you.

My heart bleeds and it burns,
And my head churns,
Please do not leave;
For it's you I need!!!!!

Spring's Serenade (Part 1)
Marian Feb 2013
Under the shade of weeping willow trees
The air is filled with birdsong an anthem sweet and beautiful
The soft sweet song of the bubbling creek
The fragrance of honeysuckles drifts from the forgotten garden
Where daffodils, violets, and many other flowers grow
Mountains high and valleys low covered in the cloak of spring
Hunter-green cedars and deep-green firs sway in the dancing breeze
Even the lonesome desert and vast wilderness
With its pretty sunrises and sunsets bears its own beauty
Morning glories in the Enchanted Forest unfurl their soft sweet petals
At Dusk when all are sleep
Sunrays shining through the dew covered leaves of the majestic trees
Waves wash onto the sea of time where lots of creatures live
And where fishes and sea turtles peep up out of the ocean
Where palm trees grow their lacy-green leaves providing shade for all
Where rocky island cliffs hold treasures forgotten a long time ago
When pirates hunted for gold
Where old forgotten battleships are at the bottom of the ocean
And the people on them long since dead. . .
Pearls and treasures hidden from sight at the bottom of the ocean
Where dolphins sleep and play ready to save some swimmer
Sea-green coral and seaweed are pretty ocean plants
Seashells at the very bottom of the ocean
Seagulls sing to one another from the coconut trees and many other birds sing a
Tropical anthem blending with the sweet perfume of hibiscus and a lone tropical girl
Plays a sweet song on the ukulele
And the horse gallops on the sandy shore happily enjoying his freedom
And the world to all is beautiful
Tropical sunsets blazing dark goldish- orange with the silhouettes of palm trees
On the beautiful rocky island
And the world is hushed to sleep with the tropical lullaby of the singing waves
When the world awakes with dew the sweet hibiscus

Ocean Dreams
Marian Feb 2013
Where pirates used to hunt for gold and burried treasures under the ocean
where waves dash against the beach of time where time is infinite and forever
where time never fades
where palm trees hang their lacy green leaves which provide shade
for all who sit upon this beach and few people live in this tropical paradise
but I sit here on the sandy beach and could forever
seashells all around me lie on this tropical beach
and I am just so content to watch the waves washing against the shore
and I gaze up to the rocky island cliffs which hold the beautiful
lacy palm trees which are my favourite of all
and hibiscus flowers are soaking in the beauty of the bright sun
little fishes beneath the ocean where pink coral and sea-green seaweed grow
while the sunrays hit below the ocean
little mossy pebbles and gems are beneath the pretty ocean
dolphins hop and dive back under the deep blue ocean
there they run and hide to escape the cruel teeth of sharks

For Candy

Candy Cooper
Daughter of a Trooper.

*Marian~
For our manx cat, Candy. She kept wandering around our house and we called the Coopers (the former owners of her) and they said that she had been wandering off a lot and we told them we had their cat. They came and got her but they said if she came over to our house again we could keep her. About a month passed then we finally saw her. We worked on getting her into the house and I stood behind the door (with it all the way opened) and Mamma sat on the floor with a bowl of tuna on the floor and she came inside and I peeped around the door and saw her inside and so I shut the door. She was kind of scared but she finally got used to the surroundings.
She has been with us since sometime in February of last year.

Hibiscus Dreams
Marian Feb 2013
The sweet fragrance of hibiscus
its petals soaked with dew like sparkling jewels
mingling with the tropical song of the waves dashing against the sandy shore
where my mind travels so often to
tropical birds hush to sleep the world and every living thing
but morning wakes with dew sweet hibiscus blooms
and happy dancing butterflies kiss those petals of hibiscus flowers
such ineffable beauty that takes my breath away and when I inhale
I breathe in the sweet hibiscus blooms mingling with the smell of the salty sea
with my pen to paper I describe what I see and witness in my mind's eye
oh how I wish the journeys on the wings of imagination would last forever
but sadly the all too soon end just like sweet hibiscus dreams

but I could give you one of my teddy bears the one that lays on my bed each night
the one I cry into when I feel lonely, hurt, sad, depressed, or angry the one I hug and kiss
because I love him the one I hold on my lap sometimes and the one who comforts me when I need it most
I shall give him to YOU this is my present to you
consider him yours because now. . .
He
Is
All
     Yours

Tall old oak trees,
Swaying-dancing in the sweetly blowing breeze,
Their branches close to my Mamma's bedroom window;
The breezes caress the dancing flowers in the meadow.

Grandma's dear hands once kneeding bread,
And Grandfather's strong hands patting my Mamma on the head,
Breezes blowing the yellow muslin curtains at the window pane;
And sweet lilacs, and many other flowers are bordering the lane.

The perfume of flowers drifting from the window into that pretty house,
Where cats would always catch a darting mouse,
And wisteria blooms twisting their mighty branches around the tall trees;
Which sway back and forth in the breeze.

Winter (Part I)
Marian Feb 2013
Pine trees sway in the bitter cold wind,
And Jack Frost has come to stay,
Always to the earth be kind;
Whether at night or day.

Snowdrops awaken from their sleep in a bed of snow,
And bluebells awake with jewels of sparkling dew,
And through the trees sweet breezes blow;
And daisies wake anew.

Dark green carpet upon the floor,
And old fashioned door knobs upon each door,
Grandmother's hands dancing across the ***** as she sung;
And melodies through the house rung.

Joy prevaded this pleasent house,
Where kitties once sat waiting to pounce upon a mouse,
Where my Grandmother would happily hum as she would cook;
And in the Orchard my Mamma would be reading a book.

Sunsets are red, the sky is blue,
Oranges are sweet and so are you!

I wrote this for my cat, Sylvestro. I caught him myself and brought him inside to live with us sometime last year.

Cheer Up
Marian Feb 2013
I feel your heartbreak, my dear
I want to help you but I feel helpless
and do not know how to help you
I want to wipe your tears away and give you a reason to smile
but I do not know how
please know that I love you and always will
I feel worthless for all I can do is speak encouragement to you

But I'll see to it that you'll never cry again for I am getting your
sweet cuddly kittens back and pretty soon they'll be sitting on your lap
softly purring--happy to see you back--that'll make you happy for their
departure is what made you sad but you won't be for long
I'll see to it be happy because you won't be sad for much longer

you won't be sad for much longer

The Misty Forest Path
Marian Feb 2013
Mist of love,
Fills the forest sky,
Created only by God above;
And the morning is drawing nigh.

Swiftly the world awakes,
And the mist is fading away,
Mist stops filling the air around the far off lake;
And before we know it shortly, also fades like mist the day.
