and i'm disappointed
disappointed in myself
but that's nothing new
i've made my bed
out of needles and broken glass
with all the stuff i've been through
well now i sit in pity as i make my list
of the things left burning
and i can't help think of the risk
concerning
all of the people
coming in and out
leaving just before the doubt
i have in my mind
of the perfect crime
where you're left there sinking
but you've found your air
taking gulp after gulp of this i swear
and the tub is overflowing
but there's no hope yearning
for the tears this floor has seen
"i've been overflowing"
"i've been overflowing"
cause i've been at the docks
mourning over all the ships
as they're left there floating
in the thick
while i've been sinking

a captain going down with his ship
Alone and out of time
your heart was the perfect crime
but i'm left here waiting, waiting on a cue
though i try and make a plan
i sorta just began
to see clearly, that i do need you

so if you'll come and sit closer dear
i'll whisper in your ear the things i love
but if you stay; decide to walk away
my entire life will fade to gray

and as i look around
conflicted by your crown
i'm confused as to if i should've bowed
but everything's okay
i'll make it through the day
and return, return to the crowd
Cause your eyes knock me off my feet, and they don't seem to feel a ******* thing. I guess it's all up to fate, but what about our love and our hate? Are we powerless to what happens? Can we not create a future? Who knows.....hopefully one day. Hopefully when i find a way.

a way to you
he's the saddest story i ever read,
a walking tragedy written with spilled blood of innocence
on pages of stolen youth.

he holds forgotten chapters of words
that he never got to speak, a novel that holds his painful secrets like a requiem.
he knows death intimately as his first love
and has bruised knuckles and empty hands to show for hardships.

but still, he smiles.
even when the aroma of
perfume lingers and
the ring she never got to wear still shines.

your touch melted my hard heart,
but now it's burnt.
my fingers fall apart,
missing yours inbetween
Reading to me is like being in a relationship. You invest your time getting to know characters like you do getting to know someone. There are no pictures in novels so you fall in love with a characters personality and heart instead of their looks which I think a lot of people don't do in the real world anymore. You go on adventures, you feel things and parts of you that you thought died are brought back to life with one simple quote, phrase or line. The characters may be fictional but the things the characters go through sometimes are actual things people go through. It's nice to have places and people to lean on when reality gets to be a little too much. The best part is that the characters never leave. If you miss them, just open the book and there they are. People complain that reading takes too much time. Books are like life. You have to take it one chapter at a time because if you move too fast, you will miss the most important moments. Life already moves too quickly. It's nice to be able to pick up a book, take your time and catch your breath.

Curiouser
And
Curiouser
I follow you
down
  down
    down
      Into the most
       Odd little world of
         Madness and magic
           Jubjub and Jabberwocky
              Red-painted white roses;
                 Such a beautiful adventure
                      I have only dreamt about.
                    Still I'm bothered by how,
Even in a place like this,
You only think of the time.
            My dearest white rabbit,
I would truly hate to see
     All of Wonderland
  go and
pass
you
by.
With love, kelsey
