Hope is the invisible tie
That keeps our world together
It’s been there since the dawn of time
And continues on forever

It wakes the people with the sun
Hope of a new day
The day to change, the day’s begun
It whisks past doubts away

The hope to bring our soldiers home
To take away their pain
The Hope to employ the unemployed
So they can start again

And sometimes Hope will disappoint
Old dreams are put to bed
But from ashes ideas will grow
Hope is never, ever dead

than yours
my hope is to have food on the table
yours to have that new purse
my hope is to
have somewhere to sleep tonight
yours is to have silk sheets
my hope is to feed my kids
yours is to have that boyfriend

have a job tomorrow
Yours is to have work called off

there is a cool fire in the heart of you
under the sands of grace
where the cacti dance with elephants
to songs of threes and two’s

I am candlesticks and moons

I watched your smile paint stars
