how can he not see
the narcissism of his tongue.
to think that if i ever,
poured my heart, my pain,
into a collection of
words, stories and poems
that if i ever
took the time,
to give myself like that,
it would be for him.
Madeline Killeen Nov 2017
In my loneliness,
I almost called you.

But then I realized,
even when I had you,
I was still lonely.

And that says it all.

nivek
all the petals have fallen
plucked by the hand of the wind
...'loves me, loves me not'
it matters little now grey has come
Winter bereft of lovers
all a huddle from her cold cold hand.
Madeline Killeen Nov 2017
i fell in love with his words,
instead of his actions.

he told me all about our
beautiful future, together.

but he never intended,
on finding it.
Madeline Killeen Nov 2017
i truly loved you
with everything I had,
and then some.

and when you
almost left,
it disappeared.

my love feels
emptier now,
less raw.
