What good am I
if I can't help the ones I love?
I can't stop the anger
or the violence
I can't stop her demons
from destroying her mind
I can't help as much as I want to
And trust me
I want to
All I can do is pretend the bad things aren't happening
tune them out like I've done
so many times before
I want to help
but I'm just helpless

what is so good about place ,
you ask, what is so good about hello poetry

well my dear friend its because
this place is filled with people who know
what it's like to be broken
who help you heal your wounds

there are no cruel comments
no judging tones
just poetry, just kindness
just bliss, just peace

why do I like this place so much?
because it is filled with poets
and I am a poet
so its perfect for me

Sometimes I think it has gone away
Those are the times that I’m mistaken.

The hurt, it always comes back.
Reminding me that I’ll never get better.

You are like a flower
sturdy and prevailing
colorful
Beautiful

You are like a flower
you may be missing petals
but those petals were used to make wishes

you thrive in nature
where all people can admire your beauty
and you may not know it
but they know

you are like a flower
winds may sway you
but the storms can never break you
that's what flowers do
they flourish with rain
and when the sun hits their face
they feel it all throughout

So you stay rooted in nature
knowing you're beautiful
knowing that your beauty is contagious
and we cannot help but to always pick you

Over every other flower in the field.

I must fight for my life.
War after war, night after night,
In my mind, I will survive.
Losing is not anywhere in sight
Longing to for the end of this journey
Storm had risen along the horizons end
Unfortunately, there’s not going to be mercy
Rain pelting down and I’m without friends
Versatile to my survival
Issues arise and it’s caprice.
Versus my rivals.
Everyone, everything I face, I will hold my peace.

You have to let go and not hold on
When life's past has cut you to the bone
Cast away the anchors
grasp
Cut the ropes , drop sails on the mast
Check the weather that the sunrise casts
Let go , Let go ,
. . . the ugly past

I hate the sunset tonight
it shines for the children
for the heroes in all of their might
for the kitten who stares out the window
and for the young lady who cries every night

I hate the sunset tonight because it shines that very same bright for the angry man who does terrible things out of spite
the same bright for ruiners of people's lives
for the person who makes that young lady cry
for the people who believe that some don't deserve rights

I hate it because not everyone deserves to see that light yet it shines just as bright
