Phases of faces, captured moments and instances
I pass by, so swiftly, so fleetingly
Caught in the crossroads of paradigms and decisions
I stood paralyzed, terrified.

I meet intense eyes that bore through me, knowing me, knowing us
A smile as warm as the sun that has the power to melt me
Your presence is strong, comforting…strong, unsettling…strong, terrifying
You have me without even trying, you mesmerize me.

You bring me to my knees with a sigh,
you can crush me with a word.
You can bring me to bliss with a touch,
you can bring me to ecstasy with a kiss.

You command me with a whisper, I am drawn to you
You break down my china walls, one by one
You undress my layers of failed expectations
Of shattered dreams, and broken hearts

I stand before you, naked, vulnerable
I look away, not bearing for you to see
My helplessness, my hopelessness
All my imperfections, my fears, my desires.

You wipe my tears away, and kiss my bitterness away
And yet the fear descends on me…I’ve been here before
Fear of hurt, of betrayal, of disappointment
Fear that this is all an illusion…or perhaps just my delusion

And so I put on a smile, cool and composed
Hide behind my fast-paced life, run far away from you
Going so fast, so fast…so I won’t think, I won’t feel
Until I fall, exhausted, to sleep a dreamless sleep

I need the noise, the meaningless clanging
For in silence, the longing creeps in…
To be in your arms, just us and nothing else…
Nothing but warmth and the sound of our hearts beating.

So I welcome the numbness, welcome the pain
Punish myself for the choice I’ve made in my weakness
Someday I will find my happiness, someday I will find my strength
Somehow…I will find you again.
Can you solve me?

unfold me expose my problems.maybe not. a simple bow slowly becoming a masterpiece of interwoven components. pick up sticks. twister. limbo. on the brink of collapse. One. two. three strikes your out. those are the rules, are you ready? go! drugs. depression. disability.drinking. abuse. blasting any sound to keep out the shouts. deceit. lies. regret. curses spewed out. careful you might trip. Or maybe you already are. like I said a bow, so easy to undo, so simplistic, internally it becomes equivalent to rocket science.  Where's the key to success? the missing puzzle piece? buried in as-seen-on-tv purchases and old moldy mattresses children's toys and croc pots. smothering the pain of a loved one passed. is he dead or alive?who knows. Is she going to make it to 50?unlikely. suicide just in time for a birthday. unfair exchange. continuing pattern. someone has to make up the hoi palloi  no one can or will solve it. you can take that to the bank...just wait a couple weeks.

We're making this up as we go along,
afraid of what will happen
if we have a plan, that doesn't go as planned.

But right now i know,
i just want you with me,
i want you in my life,
on my lips,
your scent in my head and on my clothes.

And if wanting, no, needing that
ruins what we're doing right here,
right now,
then forgive me and
please, please stay.

Hell

Hell is not made of fire.

A lot of people believe that hell is a world covered in flames, with heat that sears through your very being, scorches your soul, and inflicts terrible agony. They say Hell is a place for fiery torment, where fire is a vicious serpent that winds through your existence and seeks to quench every feeling except anguish, but at the same time refusing to let you be conquered by nothingness, keeping you wide-awake so you can feel every blistering sensation.

They're wrong.

Hell doesn't look the same for everyone else. Hell is a multi-faced mirror with countless reflections caging you inside the hollow of a diamond so you can see the glaring facets you refuse to look at. Hell is not always a place; sometimes it's a feeling, sometimes it's an event--sometimes it's a person.

Hell shows itself not only in death. Hell is everywhere--it's just somewhere around the corner of the street, hiding its face behind a newspaper, waiting for you to make the wrong choices. It's just somewhere behind you, an invisible fiend watching your every step, waiting for you to stumble. And once you do, it will laugh at you. You won't hear its sinister laughter, nor would you notice the subtle shift of the ground beneath your feet.

The odds are no longer in your favor.

Hell is cold. Hell is calculating. Hell is terrorizing.

Hell is reaching inside yourself, searching your heart, trying to find out how you really feel--but ending up finding nothing. Hell is opening your mouth to scream but nothing comes out because there is nothing left inside. Hell is the immovable boulder weighing down on your chest, it is the desperate need for the ability to cry, it is the panic and anguish that comes when you realize you can't.

Hell is watching him with his perfect hair and perfect eyes and perfect smile, knowing he isn't even aware of your plain existence. Hell is realizing for the first time that unrequited love is not as romantic as people say. Hell is waiting, waiting, waiting for something you know won't come. Hell is finally getting the nerve to say 'I love you' but only receiving silence in return. Hell is laughing it all away and saying it's nothing, I understand why, all the while wishing you could run to someplace where you can cry and scream without being heard. Hell is falling in love.

Hell is the red mark on your record, the frowns on your parents' faces, the pitying looks on your friends' expressions. Hell is the star you failed to reach, the shaking heads, the consoling pats on your back. Hell is the mocking laughter ringing in your ears even after they've long ended. Hell is the condescending voices echoing from somewhere in the back of your mind, reminding you who you were, who you've been, and who you are now. Hell is laughing at you. Hell is disappointment. Hell is trying and trying over and over and never succeeding. Hell is failure.

Hell is building your life with damning patience, with meticulous thoroughness, with painstaking care, and having it all knocked down to the ground. Hell is desperation, hopelessness. Hell is the blooming rose standing amidst a bed of withered blossoms. It's the touching beauty of life at its most exquisite, the surging anticipation, the reckless triumph, and the next day when you look for the rose you only find a withered stalk. Hell is hope.

Hell is the silent night torn apart by raging screams and flying furniture. Hell is the deafening wail of a child accompanying every insult, every furious, careless word that escapes your mouth. Hell is the empty threat he took as a promise. Hell is holding his hand and realizing it's no longer as comfortable as it used to be. Hell is the sadness weighing on your apartment, so palpable you could wrap your fingers around it and try to snap it--but you can't, because hell is already there. Hell is the silence, the eternal quiet screaming in your ears, as you pack your suitcase, as you stuff in old photographs trapped behind the cracked glass of their picture frames. It's the painful need to sit still and concentrate on breathing because you suddenly forgot how to. It's looking around you, seeing the stripped bed, the empty closet, the unsettling dust floating along the light filtering through the misted windows. Hell is falling out of love.

I could go on about hell forever, and I would never be able to enumerate all of them because there can only be so many words that can describe hell, and there are too many people in this world who see different kinds of hell. I cannot accurately define hell, I don't know much about it. I cannot claim to have seen hell, because I've never been to a place like it before.

But I know that hell is cold.

Because hell is not always made of fire.

icy particles
deep in the snow
flurry of rain
gusts of wind

to me
you are so beautiful

1.
Deep beneath the tiers of rock
He found within the earth's cavity
A substance akin to wax
Collected enough to carry armloads
And *protected
it from sun.

2.
Once outside again
With feet upon the ground
He set to work so feverish
And sculpted a humanoid shape
This figure unknown to him
Yet, guided by some unseen force
The dimensions became distinct.

3.
Once done, he sat back to look
And nearly recoiled in shock
He thought he almost recognised something
But it just couldn't be
It just could the hell not be!

4.
He reached forward to make sure he felt it
Sudden presentiment untimely
and with thoughts assailed
He reached forward to touch
But it appeared he was afraid....

5.
When he touched its ***** gingerly
He found he couldn't let go
Then, he felt the winter sculpture gain a presence
Which had but been there all along!

6.
It seemed to be eclipsing his mind
And it felt so delicious
He felt the fingers of its thoughts
Pressing into him
Digging hard
Exploring all his patterns...
Making such strong and heady waves
And leaving him stunned and reeling!
Ideas turning into windmills, racing on
It touched his lost dreams, assuaged his fears
Made him realise so many things....

7.
What was this?
What is happening?
A figure twisted out of wax
Having such sudden control?
Yet, he was afeared that it would melt
So he kept it close to cold
Making sure no-one ever saw it
Nor even touched it.

8.
Months rolled by and he discovered
More life-like features on this thing
And when, the winter rolled to a close
He fretted so much and wrung his hands
Concerned for its survival.

9.
Yet what he failed to see
Was this mere figment of wish...
A kaleidoscopic fragment of himself
Projecting so powerfully.
He was often restless afore
Without really understanding why.

And with this 'new' presence
Helping him see what he needed all along
He found some release in toppling from reign: old, deep struggle.

10.
Snows melted and rain stopped
Sunrays still tame and people came
Icicles on the eaves dripped, like tears.
He dreaded the fierce rays would blister
All this hard, deserving work.

Yet, he always willing let things go before
He wouldn't let this go.
He couldn't.
So, he battled rather valiantly to save it
Yet, in vain.

(Well, he needn't have worried
For, as the sun blazed ridiculously hotter trails
Across the way
And fate saw he was willing to let go...
To understand, to finally see....
And then,
His translucent figure...started melting....

And there,
right before his very incredulous eyes
Out of it, stepped.......

gasp!

The impossible....)

sun may shine
upon the earth
yet, I will see you always
in every sphere

to me
you are so very beautiful

came in a vision...of half-sleep just now..

funny how life is, hey.

when ye least expect it, things happen....

sub-entry:

'gain galore'

1.
whichever way we look at it
certain things hardly happen.

when it does, regard well:
it is a pure .....gain galore.

2.
when we fail to entertain failure
there's only one option:
success.

Since I could remember
My heart has balanced
Along such a thin line
Of right and wrong
Love and hate.
The line already stretched
To the extremes.
Taught with fear and uncertainty.

Tension reached its maximum
When that day came 'round.
Ever since that day
When I learned the truth.
The day my eyes were forcefully
Peeled open by dull razors.
That day the line faded
And the tight rope snapped.

With no line to follow
My heart fell.
Now concussed,
Delirious and confused.
My heart wanders between worlds.
Never certain of who it is
Where it was or
How it should be.
