Wish upon a star
Wish upon a soul
Earth the same as gold
Salvation is the goal
Just between the eyebrows
Focus vision on the nose’s tip
Still, controlling your mind is like
Controlling the wind
So with the arrow of time
You enter the cosmic womb
You ride upon the mystical machine
Until you enter the tomb
Coming forth into being
Going forth into absorption
Find the yoke of union
Connect, harness, and in your soul, report it

You call it how you see it
And I can’t say I blame you
You put me in a state of disorder
So of course, chaos ensued
Now everything is warped, distorted, upside-down
An unnatural wrongness in vice
Imbalance of the gunas
Delusion has its price
I find myself guilty of
Sleeping during the vibrant sun,
Blind faith, self-destruction
And ultimate non-conformity
But I never meant to act unreligious
Never meant to cause disharmony
Never meant to act with self-praise
Never meant to act immorally
Contrary to the laws of the planet,
I embrace self-rejection
But should this terrible reversal of order
Be considered evil?

The world is on a time loop
You missed the second coming
It already happened
You already lived it
But you had no followers
No one noticed your miracles
Not a penny in your pocket
Just the riches of the heart-
Invisible to the naked eye
So you fell apart
Born without a holy family
Created with a fragile soul
Gazing at the bird-like faces in the ancient paintings takes its toll

How
How can you know who you are
When your only friends are the stars?
How can you know who to be
When your own blood considers you an enemy?
How can you know how to forgive
When this world is not live and let live?
How do you know how to survive
When you’re wanted dead or alive?
How can you know what you feel
When everything is deranged and surreal?
How do you know what you’ve learned
When with every mistake, you crash and burn?
How do you know how to love
When you don’t even feel it from above?

In a thunderstorm
You took my child away
Offered me a crystal ball
That turned into a snake
All you wanted was forever, you say
My eternity as queen in your dark maze
Walking through walls
And illusions by the pound
Should have known to make a left
When traveling underground
A clock with thirteen hours
And no end in sight
A reversed staircase
A devious mind-fight
Up or down
A princess gown
A rotten apple
Hypnotic castle
Everything keeps changing
Warped and rearranging
Lies that are flawless
Distorted and lawless

In a sense,
Some of us haven’t lost our innocence
Despite mistakes and age
Some of us still want to play
But by our own rules
Not the government’s or schools
Who want to exorcise our right
To exercise our freedoms
When we want the right to declare
Responsibility as sin
Instead of toiling in exchange for trouble
While the capital letters keep snooping and swooping in
We blow bubbles and dive in the mud
They can’t imagine our life story
Cause they never lived it
Someone must protect our soaring souls and wild hearts

In a sense,
Some of us have lost our innocence
But despite mistakes and age
Some of us still want to play

People don’t say hello to me
But goodbye comes easily
I see children playing in the street
But they don’t smile or wave-
I’m alone in my tree
And the highs and lows stream naturally
They come and go but in actuality
It’s impossible to know who you are
When you’re not allowed to be
No one needs to tell me-
I’m alone in my tree
