The buildings are burning down
The people are running around
But they don’t know where to run
Someone up there has a machine gun
“This is it, for the anarchists,” we say
From a rooftop far away
We take a wild guess
That soon we’ll be next
So we pinky swear to love
To never leave each other behind
Never leave each other behind
All the birds have flown away
And the stars are calling
Wonder what we would wish
If we saw one falling
All the laws are bent
So we step on them
From above in outer space
The blue must be muddled
“This is it, for all the ists,” we say
From a rooftop far away
We take a wild guess
That soon we’ll be next
So we kiss to honor love
And to never leave each other behind
Never leave each other behind

I woke up from a dream
In which I solved the mystery of the universe
I learned what would benefit society
But I still found no answers to the mystery of me
I walked among the mountains
Swam against the sea
Still I know nothing of the mystery of me
But in my dream, I reached a purgatory
It became my solid ground, my reality
And in this in-between, I learned a lot of things
Like be careful what rings you put on your fingers
And be kind to the homeless, he could be Jesus
I woke up from a dream with my mouth wide open
Then the cup of mystery, hovered over me, began to spill

You say you do it for your family
But all you see is money
You see in shades of blue
And your prophets for hire
Are starting to get greedy
And the chemicals you use for warfare
They weren’t made in a factory, made in a lab
They grow organic in the land
And the drug is death but it comes in a pretty package
Those who distribute are the same ones who deal
And the ones who deal are the ones who ingest
And the ones who ingest end up a in prison
Where experiments are done, degrading and dumb
Until the free man becomes the farmer
Planting death among the cornfields

Jitterbug to the beat of amnesia
A blood-red head
Dreams of Rita Hayworth, blood-money and blue keys
Landing the lead role, your face in magazines
Diamonds and pearls painted neon pink
A diner with a monster behind the kitchen sink
Look into the mirror and you see that it’s you
Walk into the bright lights of an angel city
Find a room, relax, and look pretty
The dream is broken by a phone call
Snap back to reality and begin to fall
But before you pull the trigger
Watch the box open
And let it remind you of your ***** motives

It’s everywhere-
In ancient wonders and modern blunders
Still you get the feeling
That you’re chasing phantoms
Point to God and filter down the money
Or is it all a pyramid scheme
An idea floating around
Made by people who don’t want to be found
It’s everywhere-
Hiding in plain sight
And you’ll always get the feeling
That you’re chasing phantoms

You walk up the staircase
In a blue dress stained with violet
To a fountain with a phallus in the middle
You notice a bare parquet floor
In front of a famous painting with two pyramids
You go to the bathroom which
Divides the stick figures into genders
And you turn on the lone light bulb hanging from the ceiling
Afterwards you come to a fire,
The light bouncing off the stone floor
But you notice outside spotlights
So you walk down a long corridor
And leave by the exit sign door

We’re above
You’re below
So here’s a flower
Let us pick your brain
And when you’re worthless
Curled in a ball
We’ll let you share your thoughts
Cause you can’t
Reach other worlds
Without losing your mind
And we need ours
To run this earth
It’s our reality
But yours lies somewhere
In a box
Made of white walls and stained sheets
So here’s a flower
Let us pick your brain
A sweet gamble
Worth a million answers
Cause adults should never play
