Gray is the season that withers
Blossoms dulled by satin frost
How they sadly fall
Cruel chill, it breaks them all
Rest, rest immortal doves
While winter feigns treasures lost

Crystal brooks still as dusk
Mirror figures warm at heart
Oaks over icy knolls
Sprawling old souls
Flutter, flutter leafless arches
For that single spark of life to start

Blushing through frozen woods
Morning hints at splendor, frail
A starling in the snow
Sleeping on her bough
Wake, wake feathered angel
Sing sweet trills of the nightingale

heart beats
in the hand of another
grated like cheese
forsaken
unrecognizable
and utterly...

                                                                unlovable
Gotta love poetic license ;)

you can give me all the
red roses you want but
there will always be
black weeds in my failing
lungs and thorns in my
sworn off heart and
constellations that i cant
quite make sense of in my
head.

and i'm sorry that i cant
apologize for not loving
you as much as you loved
me.

the moments in which we are happy
are worth all of those in which we are not
Happiness comes in blurbs

    cp
you are
friday night dinners and
red lip stained coffee cups
and family photos and skilled
sarcasm and twelve trips to
disney and your love for
avocados and adventure. you
are sunday morning bike rides
and hand written letters and
power outages with candlit ghost
stories and week long sleepovers and
summer dresses and worn out boots
and accident prone vacations and
themed birthday parties and forgetfulness
and gerbera daisies and singing too loudly
and too off key and GOOD mistakes and
better memories
you are constellations and sea glass and colliding galaxies
and sometimes the calander turns
like a lottery and once in a blue moon
you can find a girl with fractured
sapphires in her irises and a heart too
big for her ribcage and a spine as strong
as a lightning bolt
so thank you january twenty sixth,
for michele.

liar, liar pants on fire
lying for you
must be a natural desire
you twist people's words
and manipulate one's mind
you persuade them
into giving you
an unbreakable bind
is it pleasant for you?
messing with people's heads?
and messing with their feelings
tearing them apart and to shreds?
does it give you ephoria,
happiness or joy?
you're probably laughing right now
you just treat everyone like measly toys
well i will not be another
no i am no Pinocchio
you will not try to control
me by lying,
it will not result to so
you can run along
with your lies
and all of your deceit
i will not be taken advantage of
by 26 letters
no
i refuse to taste defeat
i literally had to run to my comp. because i was in the kitchen and i was teasing my friend saying, "liar, liar. pants on fire." and this precious idea for a poem popped into my head.
*first time that i rhymed in forever*

Kiss me hard before you go
Let me feel your electric aura
Touch the chaos that encompasses your mind
Give me one last glimpse of the fire in your eyes
One last chance to learn to feel alive
Inspired by "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey. The first line is hers.
