If you were an ocean
I'd be by your shoreline everyday
To swim through your thoughts
No matter how cold or warm
It gets in there

I'd learn about how much you love
The  sea creatures that lives within you
Hoping one day I'd get to live with you too
Cause I wouldn't mind waking up everyday to your tides

I'd ask about your new adventures
Of how others pollute and litter all over you
This hurts you so much, but I'll try
my best to clean you up and take away your pain
And make you brand new again

You ask to take me somewhere
To the other side of the water
As you take me there, I know that you trust me enough to let me know about your past
And you've opened up a whole new world

I'd float anywhere
As long as it's with you
Doesn't matter where
Underneath the water, to the other side
I'd still be following

If you were an ocean
I'd be looking forward to your waves as you smile
I'd lie down on you, as you are my safe haven
I'd treasure everytime water hits me, as it locks upon my lips with your kiss

If you were an ocean
I wouldn't mind drowning in you

Disaster Child
I'm really really sorry we had to go
I'm not filled with sadness though
"Parting is but sweet sorrow"
I will see you again, tomorrow

I can still smell your hair
Feel your hand in mine
Your cheek on the back of my fingers
Your forehead on my lips
Your head against my chest
My arms around you, and yours around me
Your gentle breathing
Still hear your lovely voice
See your shimmering eyes
Your special smile
Your rounded chin
Soft lips
Sturdy neck
Feel your delicate fingers
Your running palms
Your elbows; arms and wrists
Your beautiful perfect wrists...
Your waist in my hands
Your chest pressed against mine
Your sloping shoulders
The backs of your hands
Your hair, nails and teeth
Your reassuring voice, singing to my soul
Your comforting eyes, looking deep into mine
I can still see you standing there
In the rain
Heartbroken
Alone...
My Love I'm sorry for leaving
But I can still feel my heart close to yours
All close
For always and ever

When I was little
I would stare up at
My mother and think to myself
That's what I want to be when I grow up

I wanted nothing more than
To become my mother
Who tucked me in
Kissed my scrapes

Who nurtured me
Brought me water when I was
Sick and sang me to sleep
And who told me how strong I was

Little did I know
That moms are dished out
Their own servings of problems
But my mom was different

She was served piles of
Left overs and week old bread
Water unfit for a dog
And dessert was scarce

Later I learned I was the dessert
So was my father
Though he was more sour than others
She didn't care, she loved it all

But as I've grown older
The piles of unfit food
Are tumbling down
Right on top of me

My mother's food labeled
Bipolar, depression
Anxiety, self harm
Body image issues and so much more

More than one person should
Be dished up, more than
One person can stomach
Too much for the plate to handle

The plate is cracked, chipped
Used, with a residue still blanketed over
And we've learned our eyes are bigger than
Our stomachs and we attempt the plate alone

But you can't handle a full course meal
If you're stomach is so small

I've learned that even though
Doctors label my mother
Crazy and unstable
I still crave to be her

Because she's survived through
What seems like everything
And she is not only alive
But my mother is living

Maybe not the way she imagined
But she still tries to make
The best of each day
She does so much with so little

Yes, I still want to be my mother
I want to be strong and brave
Kind and nurturing
I want to be everything she thinks she isn't

Because she is my everything
I love you, mommy.

The Kiss

Lips gently brush
against each other.
Their fresh moist
softness hot, yielding.
Tongues touch, executing
deft tantalising flicks.
A sensuous tease
before delving deeper.
Searching, probing, lips
pressing, passion flaring.
Hearts melting, spirits
soaring, rushing away.
Then suddenly, it's over
More than physical contact.
A more subtle, mental kiss.
Our fingers connect
briefly on parting.
Lingering slightly, and
I speculatively wonder.
Were our minds
in perfect synchronicity?
Or is there truly,
only one mind?
Such uncertainies arise,
with mental kissing.
