Every word's a path,
each sentence a tree
and all attached to a stump of a woman
thin at the base then growing in circles,
until age is defined by height,
her illness by weight.

How can the wood of trench walls
look so lucid, perspex branches
contorting into string in the wind,
knotting air into eddies keeping them
floating right there?

If I had a million hearts,
they'd all be yours.

You can't handle the truth.

Tell them that when they ask,
But don't really give a ****,
Not wanting to really know.

Do ask me, ******!

If journeys did not have crossroads,
They would have no starting point,
Or natural ending.

When I read the works of other here,
Dumb struck that I ever dare,
To offer up words and ask for your
Love and affection.

But then reminded,
Each one, each poem a crossroads,
Sends me on a new direction,
And I must leave some crumbs of me
If, my unseen home, I shall ever see,
Or ever return to, when I am voyager
No longer.
After reading the poetry of yours here for over an hour plus,
Was overcome at my own simpleminded prose by compare,
And this fell out of me one two three.
I mark my crossroads with poem crumbs.
You see! I am simple and my words even simpler

That beautiful glorious space of
"me loving you,"
That's where
We won't both go.

Yet my heart goes there
Often, when swollen with the
Wondrous, Wonder Ours, of our
Emotions.

But when that refuge closed,
I shrink beneath the pain
That is now homeless, like me,
For there is only a pace and a place called
Nowhere,
For them to go.

it's the world we live in

or the one of my own
fabrication

where

nothing is really as it seems

it's always something
no matter what

nothing is as it seems

I want to see you
but

precautionary measures
turn to screams

but what is there to lose?

life has grown so
drab and boring

important for a moment

and the ease you
move forward stings

try to be

all the things we
both want me to be

life's not fair

but then again it
molds to how you make it seem

you're over there

and I'm standing with
a heavy lean

if I could I would

sweat and
make us both believe

that these sins

of the flesh
are what we need

your body on mine

slowly
gently
makes me believe

your lips on mine

capture the breathe
we share and heave

your soul with mine

share meaning
I'll conceived

please don't remind

me where I've failed
and leave

growing numb

I want you to
relieve

I want you now
I want you with me
