He intentionally waits to respond to her messages
So she won't know he's hanging on every word

But in the way she sang them

Sometimes, I read peoples' writings of God
And can't help but feel
If any other name were inserted
I'd be reading about
A controlling boyfriend
In a co-dependant relationship
