There will come a day
When no one will notice the flowers
Or the blue sky.
There will come a day
When no one remembers a day without this so called amazing technology.
There will come a day
When the next generation laughs with their friends about how we had it so hard
There will come a day
When someone will look around and think, what a sad world we live in.
There will come a day
When no one goes outside
And instead they all sit around on their devices all day.
But will anyone really think that is sad? Because this is happening to us in this very moment.
And that day is right now.

Late at night when I
talk to you,
I can feel my fingers
quietly tapping my keyboard,
and every letter is filled
with expectations;
every word is a part of me,
moments of loving you
spill onto my screen and
you won't see anything
but a casual 'good night'
or a question about your day,
you won't notice the careful
punctuation or how every
letter was typed with consideration
and love and crushed dreams.
The beauty of the modern world
is that I can love you without
you ever knowing that your
words silently break my heart.

Somedays, the tide only laughs
at the sandbags we put up.
When the ocean of emotion
breaks with waves above our hearts,
we swim or drown.

The swell of current overrides
and riptides pull us down.
Move parallel to shore against the tide
till firmer ground is found.
Swim.

My favourite scene is when she turns her
head away from me, only for me to cup
her cheeks in my hands as I caress her
face and her lips. I can hear her breathing
louder and faster, and at this point, I don't
quite know whom I'm breathing for anymore.
Her hair smells like a pleasant meadow of
daisies. Her skin is softer than the mellow
breeze. She is lovely. I grab her closer to
me as I lay her on my lap until she falls asleep,
only to realize the concept of time has broken
down—but we go on anyways. She's the most
beautiful girl I know.

She's just looking for attention
That has to be it, right?
Just a melodramatic girl
They ignore all the signs

She's just looking for attention
That's what they're all saying
It's funny how when it's all said and done
They'll cry that they didn't see it coming

She's just looking for attention
They yell "You shouldn't joke about suicide!"
She represses a bitter laugh and thinks
Too bad I won't see your reaction to the punchline
It ****** me off how depression and suicide are so stigmatized that people can't reach out for help without being called an attention seeker. I hate how our society can't have real conversations about suicide and every sign is ignored. I don't know. I've been really suicidal recently.

staring at me

to stare back.

Roses are sprouting
The violets in bloom
The rain is falling hard
Just like I am for you
I don't know why I wrote this. It's not even April. It's not even March. This just kinda popped into my mind.
