What YOU DON'T SEE
Are the eyes that stare down at you
The judgement that roars from their eyes
The fear that echoes from their bodies
Oh how misinformed they are
They think of you as
Weak
Fragile
And only speaking attention
But they never truly see the truth
They never will
All they see is
The smile
The mask
The laughter
But they will never see
The pain
The anguish
The tears
WHAT YOU DONT SEE
Me crumbling beneath
The weight of this burden
Screaming for help
Yet no one can hear me
I look to the heavens
And only hear silence
I look to the stars
And only see darkness
No hope in sight
I lay awake on the edge of insanity
Questioning if all this
Is truly worth it
What is the difference
Between life and death
Which is better than the other
One offers nothing
But pain and suffering
And only a glimmer of happiness
In a sky full of darkness
The other offers
Nothing
No pain
No regrets
No sorrow
Just peace
If such a thing truly exists
I really hate listening to people
Criticize the way others live their lives
Thinking that they are religious and know all that is right
Even religion tells us that its not our place to judge
Yet we do it and think its right
A bunch of hypocrites living a lie
They don't even stop and wonder why
Maybe people really are born that way
Or maybe we're the ones who are upsidedown
i will never be ashamed
of the scars i have
on my body, heart and soul
because they remind me of all
the struggles i have overcome
in my life and the strength i
have gained from them
