we all have secrets
hidden within our shadows
expanding at night

I held your hand
and pulled you in
never to leave your side

Mistakes were made
but that's okay

I feel a rumble
in my tumble
yet I can't seem to eat

I must'v fumbled

upon calling  last week

tho I really hope you like this
if you hear a **** beat
yet the problem still remains

"I just can't eat."

not a mumble
or crumble
will you ever hear a sound,

That is louder than my stomach
you can hear across town.

Tho I'm humble
I feel bumbled
but you know what'd be a treat

Once life gets sweeter
I'd be able to eat.

Light up a cigarette
it's how we escape
in hope life gets better
until we leave this place.

Leaving of course, from a stray
is any one intending for you to stay?
It takes thirty seconds
to smoke part of your life away.

Some look in the mirror
now covered by grey.
They cough up a lung
with nothing left to say.

Everyone else will pass away
continuing to smoke everyday.
Maybe there was always a better way
yet, look who cared enough to stay.

The reason I smoke everyday
is because, I'm stuck here in a pray
hoping someone will come save the day
or i'll say goodbye, in my own patient way.

I don't like to smoke
I can honestly say...
Yet I still do it
Day by Day.

Heroes die
to show us the sacrifices from the start
of how much they cared in their hearts
to save the self centered people that we are.

The one good thing about seeing people smile
is knowing that one day it'll come back to you.
