It's romantic and very clear

The early morning clouds

All  the places that we could be,

And just having you near me.

We could go to your island
That would be far, far away
with beautiful trees and sand

Most of the time
she is like a
hummingbird,
going from place
to place, person
to person always
seeking knowledge
and truth as she
is free in flight but
constantly aware of
looking for a place
to rest for the night.

But for her, life
seems a test and
she is always
successful as as she
searches for food
and something sweet
to fill the hunger
within because she
is just a little bit
faster than the rest.

And in her freedom
of movement, like
the hummingbird,
they are both
creatures of needs
that must be fulfilled
and when sweets
are there she will take
the dare and all you
can do is sit and stare
at her freedom in flight
and wonder where
she might be tonight.

She floats free of time carrying our hopes
for love, joy and celebration as her delicate
grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is
everywhere and all you have to do is open
your eyes.

Every personal connection has meaning and
a reason and laughter is life's sweetest creation
and with brave wings she flies realizing that
spiritual knowing will never have a written
understanding.

She glitters, half guessed, half seen above
her surroundings and over her home a flashing
blip and she's gone and she lends to the eye
if this - a sunbeam giving the air a kiss.

A flash of harmless lightening, a mist of rainbow
dyes, the burnished sunbeams brightening as
if from flower to flower she flies knowing that
only from the heart can you touch the sky.

She sips the sweet moments and lets her true
colors glow and doesn't get her feathers ruffled
over little things as she just wings it, taking
herself lightly, knowing that good things
sometimes comes in small packages.

How the mind can fly, hovering for that everlasting
love light, a love that excites and connects with
her soul as she flutters here with a twitter there
like a hummingbird in flight prying for the sweetest
nectar and crying out to catch more than trite.

Underlying is her sugary passion as she darts in
fright in a tangle of steaming energy, alluring
nectar she seeps with all her might as she lets her
heart love tenderly.

She welcomes a ****** day and after reaping rewards
of a long journey, she decides it is time to rest and
play and after watching the light as it dwindles
into a dome, she must fly now, back to the place
she calls home.

Life is too short and I am too old
to play games and it has been
my experience through the years
that when someone says to you
that they "just need some time"
what they are really saying is
goodbye and maybe I'll see you
around.

At my age a person just doesn't
know from one day to the next
which one is going to be his last
so he tries to get over the mindless
things that might have happened
in the past and live for today
because tomorrow might be his
last as the years disappear too
fast.

Never thought I'd be alone this
far down the line but sometimes
it just turns out that way but
at this particular time when I
heard love knocking at my
door  I answered her but she
just turned and walked away
saying to me "not today",
"I just need some  time" but
maybe someday I will come
back around and stay if I
should have anything more 
 to say."

The game is over
and the winner won by
default but at what cost
as your lies gave you away
and maybe you will learn someday
that you can run
from your past but not very fast
because it will always
catch up with you.

All of your "friends"
know which way
the wind blows but
you still find a need to keep up
your "Holier than thou"
attitude  because you are so sure
that you are better than
everybody else.

Sooner or later that attitude
will sneak up behind
you and bite you on the *** because
you are as transparent as glass
and everyone knows
what you are made of as
you try to make them
think you are a
shining star.

You didn't play by the rules
but neither did I
but at least I didn't lie when
I said "I love you."

I knew the whole time that
your love wasn't true
and realized that you were full of lies
but with a past like yours
I could understand the need for lies
so I just waited for the truth to finally emerge.

At the beginning you gave me hope
and a reason to carry on
and escape those demons of war
that I carried around like
some clown.

As time passed by and we both
kept lying a lie I realized
that I would have been better off
to take a direct hit from
an incoming mortar round than have
to recycle all of the hate and anger
that you freed me of when
we first met.

Upon our meeting
you broke through to me
and made me come alive but then
you made me feel dead upon my discovering
our two years was just a big lie.

But you felt you had to win
so I played dumb
and let you think that
you had won.

Eyes so pure yet so hollow
but their innocence would whisper
in my ear sweet promises of a tomorrow
but tomorrow is here
and you are gone without ever once
saying so long nor did you make
a sound.

Not a whisper nor hark but
you should know
that I no longer miss you
in the dark because the game is over

As we get older we get much bolder,
not something like we used to
just throw over our shoulder.
We think about when we were young,
and how with the territory came dumb.
So strong, so agile, but we soon found
out that it only lasts awhile, that
physical peak is here and gone
leaving us with only a smile and we
wish that it had lasted more than
a song.

It seems things around us get better
as the the years pass us by, as we pay
more attention to each other. Gaining
wisdom and learning so much as things
just keep going by us faster and faster,
and if we don't keep up with the pace,
we seem to be losing the race and find
ourselves headed for disaster. We
learn what we didn't even know we
didn't know, and we have to know
what is really just for show.

Us old geezers find love comes
so much easier, even if you have been
in the deep freezer.  We don't have
to spend so much time trying to
please her. We know if the others
love is true, the games are gone and
we just get  strong realizing that we
might not be around very long.

Getting older,we take life more in
stride because we realize that we
are nearing the end of this crazy,
ride, and that it could all be over
in the blink of an eye. We soon
come to the realization that we
are all going to die, so we watch
those around us fade away, and
we wonder  why we are still here,
and know that it might happen
any day leaving you with nothing
to say.

Every new sunrise that we are given
we realize is a blessing, and we don't
need to worry anymore how we
might be dressing.

Now we know that the best part of
our lives is  now so we savor every
moment that we are given, because
the past is gone and tomorrow isn't
here yet and now is all we have , so
we touch like there might never be
a tomorrow and hope to avoid the
sorrow of what is happening as
we get older, we know our place and
what we have yet to face, and it sure
ain't no leather and lace.

Life is a journey
through the past,
living in the present,
facing the future.

People come into our lives,
maybe only for a day,
a month or maybe for
a year or two.

As those paths cross,
there is always a lesson
to be learned no matter
how brief.

can touch you for a
lifetime or may turn
your world upside down.

Love's spell is simple
and timeless, but pain
cripples your course.

Weep and you weep alone,
rejoice and people will see you,
grieve and they turn and go.

Move along even if all is gone,
love again without fear for
the end might be near.

Now you see it, now you don't,
things change so fast and
nothing seems to last anymore.

Realize that true happiness lies within. Waste no
time or effort searching for peace and contentment
and joy in the world outside.

Happiness is not in our circumstances but in
ourselves. It is not something we see or feel
like the heat of a fire. Happiness is something we are.

Give yourself a perfect day. Do what makes you
happiest. Look upon what gives you joy.

Speak to those who warm your heart. Listen to that
which lifts your spirits. Surround yourself with sights
and sounds and people who give you pleasure.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow
to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

The greatest happiness in the world is the conviction
that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, in spite of ourselves.

using me until you were
good to go.

Good to know
that you had your sights
set on someone else
and you thought that I didn't
know that you had been
getting ready to go
for some time.

Good to know
that our love affair
was only good because
from the very beginning
you were in it for
something else.

that it all means nothing now

sort of wasted my
precious time but it was
still it a crime.

is that you were nothing
but a fake who has
everyone believing that

I whisper, "I love you, you are mine..."
You whisper," you are my master, my pleasure,
my torment, my happiness.

        Crying was the music of ecstasy, alone
in the world, together  in a different reality. Wrists
and ankles tied with ropes upon our meeting after
so,so many years as our happy tears mixed.

        It is our special manifestation of love as I am
your savior and your executioner with you being
my salvation and sacrifice.

         I watch as your blue eyes darken with carnal
desire upon my entering the room and starring at
you and your naked body with love and desire as
the  room air  fills with steam and  your  scent, a
culmination of wet heat on our bodies as
the moment lasts for hours.

You anticipate the next blow as pain fills the
air in your sobs of rapture as you wriggle under
the whip, begging for mercy as your mouth whispers,
"I love you."

        And I kiss your lather and stroke fresh traces
whispering to you softly,"the past is the past, the
future is ours to take, it is so, so good to see you
again."

take a stand, even if you are
just a grain of sand
in the ocean of life,
so you can get
inspired.

Inspiration comes
not from memories
or experiences
but from within and know
that there are no
mistakes only
lessons.

Growth is a process
of trial and error
and lessons
are often repeated
until they are
learned.  

What you make
of your life is up to you
and the answers
that you are looking for
can usually be found
within and you just have
to know when
to begin.

Like the Ocean
carries grains of sand
words carry my love
with sounds and syllables
borrowed from foreign
lands.

They errupt from
a broken heart
or unhealed
wounds and shattered dreams
or forgotten memories
and missed
chances.

I can't speak of yesterday
because there are
so many things
that I could say
but there is no good, bad,
malice or virtue,
only time and
circumstance.

So many loves have
come and gone
that I just let
slip through my hands
like grains of

Never accept the things that you
cannot change, just change the
things you cannot accept and as
you begin to find out what is real
you begin to realize that nothing
is as perfect as you imagine it to be.

Somewhere in my mind just now,
as I write these words, run all of
good tines and the bad times so
fast I could hardly see them yet I
can call back any one of them and
and describe them in finest detail.

In my words I express my faith in
life, my conscience, my hopes, my
loves and my attempts to understand
what is and and what has been going
on in the world that surrounds me
and may you find inspiration and
warmth in my words.

Looking out at the road passing
under my wheels, I can't tell you all
how crazy this life feels but as a writer
I try to look at my poems from a new
perspective, turning tragedy into
tenacity and in my creativity I allow
myself to make mistakes, but the art
of it is just knowing which ones to keep.

Understand life backwards but live it
forwards knowing that once great
wrongs are done it is rarely possible to
undo them so cultivate your powers of
recuperation and restoration and even
the darkest night will end and the sun
will rise again.

Life provides the contours and we as
poets provide the shading and color
and you will find that as the years pass
you by you will become more creative
and make fewer mistakes because you
become aware that your days are
numbered and that nothing remains
the same in the game of life.

Know that habit is your constant
companion,your greatest helper, or
your heaviest burden and it will push
you onward or drag you down to
failure, but always know that it is
always at your command as half of
the tasks you do are done by habit
quickly and correctly, so be firm with
it and show it exactly how you wish
things done and after a few lessons
habit will do it automatically.

She was my Angel in Disguise
as I thought I could tell
by looking into her eyes,
I wrote this in a
Published book
of Poetry called
"WHISPERS"
A COLLECTION
OF SHORT WORKS,"
which I wrote after
we met, and little did I know
that she would make
short work of me
and just go.

When in reality I didn't take
a close enough look
because I discovered that she
was telling me ONLY lies.

She turned out
to be both my HEAVEN and my HELL,
and not really my
blue skies, but
only LIES.

She was both
the DISEASE and the CURE,
I was never really sure,
her being the sickness that made
me well after my return from
my own personal HELL - (PTSD).

Being both
a SAINT and a SINNER,
I had to lose to her to
become a WINNER.

She was my ANGEL
and my DOOM and my life
she did CONSUME by being both the
BEST and the WORST and
the remedy that
made me fall.

My success with her
lead me to my downfall
as she became
my worst NIGHTMARE and
my favorite dream but her LIES soon
showed me that
she was not the person that
she seemed.

She wore a HALO,
but came from the DEEP,
waking me up and
putting me back to sleep,
without so much as a peep.

My ANGEL in DISGUISE
showed me her true colors
by all of her many lies.
Oh well, is all I could say after finding
out that she was really
from HELL.  

She will continue to play
her little game of lies and deceit
with all of her other stupid men who
are crying at her feet because
that is what makes her complete.

to get away after seeing

all you are left with
is happiness and if
you want to be

not think was open.

things don't work

Nothing lasts forever is the hardest
lesson we all learn in the hardest way
and the world is going to judge you
no matter what you do, so live your
life the way you want and work on it
every single day and be done and
know that to be outstanding you must
get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Every positive change in your life begins
a clear decision that you are going to
either do something, or stop doing something,
so stay too busy on your own grass to
notice if the grass is greener on the other side.

It's nice to be important. but it's more
important to be nice and know the truth
doesn't cost anything, but a lie could cost
you everything so make it your mission in
life to be so happy and loving that you
have no time for hate, regret, worry, or fear.

Words are free, it's how you use them
that could cost you, so focus on what
matters and let go what doesn't and people
who wonder whether the glass is half
empty or half full miss the point.
The glass is refillable.

The secret of being happy is accepting
where you are in life and making the best
out of every day knowing happiness is a
choice that requires effort at times, so make
today amazing and stop complaining and
appreciate what you have.
