Love is
      never a question.  

               If you
              have  to
                   ask
         "Am I in love?"  
            you aren't.

They say time heals everything
and it's been so long
since she has been gone
and when I woke up this morning
I finally decided that
the pity party was over

I finally realized what a ****
I had been to shed so many tears
for just two lousy lost years
with her.

I finally realized that
what I had been crying over was
simply one big lie and today
I realized that she was never worth
any of those tears for those two
stupid years with her.

Wasted tears were shed because I
know now that she would just as soon
see me dead beause of
issues that
she refused to address.

These issues that for one reason
or another she chose to not share with me,
but what she didn't know is
that I could see.  

She was never truthful with me
but the crying has finally stopped
and I must thank her for all of the pain
that was for nothing but her
own personal gain .

I am sure that she is happy now
and I wish her the best but she needs to know
that the saddest part of her little game
was not all of her lies,
but the fact that she never thought
that I was worth being told the truth
and because of that I will
never be the same.

It was her choice to walk out
that front door but she needs to know
that I just don't think about

After observing
and experiencing rude
and hurtful behavior
of so many I can judge
those people or I can
love them but I can't
do both at the
same time.

Know that there is love

really love until you
give it away and it doesn't
matter how you love,

to overcome, to endure,
to transform, and to be greater
than your suffering.

This time on earth called life
has been such an amazing
journey for me and there
are still so many miles to go

The Sun and the Moon
are loves who rarely meet, always chase,
     and almost always miss one another,
                    but once in awhile,
        they do catch up  and  they  kiss  
                                and
               the world stares in awe
                      of their eclipse.

                      He was the day,
          she  was  the  night.  He  lived
    for misty mornings, she lived for crazy
        midnight's. He was the Sun, she
  was the Moon, yet both waited impatiently
        for  those  rare  days  they  might
                       exist peacefully.

                    She wants a man who
       understands her eyes. If she gets sad,
            she  points  to  her  chest  and
               says, "here is your home."
                        He understands.

                    But perhaps the very
          fact the Moon could never have
               the Sun was the reason
                      that  she  loved
                               him  so.

She can be sweet as candy,
                    mean as an alligator,
cold as winter in Kansas,
hot and **** as a dancer on her
                                    stripper pole,
and loyal like a soldier but it
                        all depends on you.

There's a fire burning in her.......
                    and if loved correctly,
she will warm your entire home,
if abused, she will burn it down,
       so spoil her with loyalty, she
                       can finance herself.

She never finds the need to
     explain herself to anyone and
she doesn't need anyone's
approval as she lives her life and
       does what makes her happy.

She is wise and wary of flames but
still she knows she will survive the
fire life scorches sometimes as she
has been a phoenix before and
every time she burns to ashes she
knows exactly how to rise again.

All she wants is someone that sees
    the fire in her eyes and wants to
play with it and she is not looking
  for a knight, she is looking for a
                                                sword.
Strong women scare weak men but a strong man can make a strong woman go weak in the knees and it is not how we make mistakes but how we correct them that defines us and we know that a great relationship doesn't happen because of the love we had in the beginning, but how well we continue building love until the end, and I love her I promise.

It  is  ever  so   beautiful 
         to  be strange. To do
           things differently
                than others.
   To see things in rare light.
        To me, that is such
              a gold to carry.

              I like people
       who have  a sense of
              individuality.
          I  love  expression

     anything awkward and

  that's  natural and that's real.

                I like messy
          people,  people  who
    don't fit  in  a  box  or  stay
               between the
      lines, but whose integrity
             is greater than
            any rule book and
      whose   loyalty  is  stronger
                 than blood.

              Kindness is the
       simplest way to tell another
     soul  that  there  is  love  to  be
            found in this world.

There is no such thing in our lives as an
unimportant day and in order to make
a difference in our lives we must make
a difference in someone else's life and
the longer I live the more my mind
dwells on the beauty and the wonder
of the world.

I see beauty and goodness everywhere
and I have learned that the real joy of
life is to love and it is good to discover
people who are worthy of respect,
admiration and love but it is vital to
believe yourself worthy and deserving
of such things.

Strive to be better, strive to be more,
and strive to be amazing and learn to
keep the right company and learn to
leave those loser friends behind because
those you surround yourself will
determine your success so surround
yourself with people who are truthful
and people who will build you up.

Learn quickly that you alone are
responsible for the quality of your life
and when you decide that your life is
your own you can start living
regardless of where you are in years
and if you do that the result will be
fewer tears.

They laugh
       at  me  because  I'm
different. I laugh at them
         because  they're
            all the same.

      blame  people  for
  talking  behind  my  back.
           They have
   obviously  heard  what
              happens

              I notice

  People fail to realize that
         I don't forget
   **** they said or did to
          me to, or things
   they wouldn't do for me
      when  I needed help
because there is no expiration

limitations live only in our
minds but if we use our
imagination, our possibilities
become limitless.

The road is long with many a
winding turns and if you are
always on the road not to
reach a goal but to enjoy its
beauty and its wisdom, life

becomes natural and simple,
in itself an ecstasy.

If there's something special
you want to do, now is the
time...if you want to make a
difference in the world, now
is the time. Don't be fooled  
into thinking you should wait
until you are older or wiser or
more 'secure' or that it is just
around the corner, because it
doesn't work that way.

The wisdom will come. The
security will come. But first
you must begin your adventure
realizing that it is not waiting
for you 'just around the corner,'
for our wisdom is the point of
view from which we come at
last to regard the world.

Be  prepared for the journey  of life and  where
it will take you.  I've seen better days,  but  I've
also seen worse.

I've  had to learn to  be strong when I felt  weak,
to be brave when I was sacred, because I needed
it to survive. I don't have everything I want, but
I do have all that I need.

I  woke up with some serious  aches and  pains,
but I woke up.

My  life  may not  be  perfect, but  I have  been
blessed with a son, a daughter, three beautiful
grand daughters, a grandson, and four great
grandchildren and a lot of love.

Be humble when you are victorious, and be
happy,  because  life is just  too  short  to  be
anything else.

You  miss  100% of the shots  you don't take.

Be  thankful  to be alive, knowing  that  every
minute  you are here  will never come  again.

"far Out Man" was
an expression we used
in the sixties when something
was really cool
and todays kids have no clue
to a term that was once the rule
and if you survived those years
and are still here
then that is what I would say,
"far out man"
without a doubt.

What a ride
and I am so surprised
that I am still alive
after living through
so many near misses
and so many stolen kisses
that brought so many
broken hearts
after playing
so many different
parts.

Been through those doors
so many times before
and it makes me wonder
when will
I get it right and not just
end up with
a bunch of rhymes
and I wonder how many
lifetimes do I have to live
before someone
will take what I have
to give.

How many heartbreaks
can I take before
it is just too late
and how much pain
must I sustain
for somebody elses gain
and that is about all that
I have to say in this rhyme
at this time.

So either
take me as I am
or watch me as I go
and that is really

In the end
it's the smallest
of touches that move us
in the biggest ways.

It's the shared heat of unspoken moments,
the grace of skin on skin,
the audible beat of your heart,
like bass drums that fill with sound,
the emptiness we hide ourselves in.

It's the desperate search for fingerprints
you left behind on my flesh,
the echoes of your fingers.

It's the single kiss on a surprised neck
and the pulse of life under lips,
the goosebumps that always stay.

The sparkle in your eye,
the warmth of your skin and your breath
on my neck and the strength of your stare
those blue eyes so fair.

It's the roll of those eyes and the inhale,
because it's the smallest of touches that
move us in the biggest way.

Sometimes I don't know what to say
about life's tastes because words
are not enough to describe
what I really feel because
I find beauty in ordinary things
and this is a gift I hope that I never lose
because life is too short to waste
so I remember well life's and love's
sweet taste and the bittersweet taste
of the many lies that always
come so well disguised.

Remember well those many loves
that you thought at the time
were real and the many loves
that you were able to steal
but most of all remember those loves
that were real because they tasted
so sweet and never missed a beat
so drink your fears, for it is
the armor for the battles
to come.

When all hope seems lost
and you fall tattered and torn
and in pain, look to the light within
because there can be no rainbow
without some rain,

So watch the sunsets
and dance in the rain
because there is not a minute
or a second to spare while we are here
so wash away that pain realizing
how much you have to gain,
knowing that sometimes
the other persons definition of forever
is not nearly as long as yours
and that makes it harder
to say I'm okay.

And remember that sometimes
you forget what is real
and sometimes you forget
how to feel  so you ask yourself
what is love, is it what
everyone hopes for or
is it a drug.or a poison
or is it accepting someone
for who and what they really are
no matter what, or is it
just an emotion only a few
ever experience.

Does love last a lifetime or maybe
just a few years or a month or a day
or is it only in dreams and the answer
to this seems to come at the right time for everyone
and all we all can do is remember it,
so we drink in as much as we can
and try to understand all of life's

I returned from
Vietnam in 1970 and
the war was over in
1975 and over 58,000
died in that war and
twice as many Americans
committed suicide
after it was over.

As I write this in late
2016, 22 Veterans a
day still commit suicide
as the dying still persists.  

Doesn't anyone wonder
why so many Veterans
have to still die after all
of these years and why
doesn't anybody question
this useless dying of 22

or does anyone care that
this dying still persists.

My words flow
like rivers and streams of life
for my soul  that is feeding
my every desire to reveal
stories of old chronicles
of loves and dreams
and tales of being alone
and being together with someone
as the wheels keep turning.

Sometimes I am grateful
for what I am and what I have
because it has not really
been that bad and no run
on my bank can drain it
because my wealth
is not possession but love
and a grateful heart
that is grateful of the people
who have made
me happy.

Sometimes we have to
stumble often to reach the truth
as the wheels go round and round
and like the tides our moods will rise
and our moods will fall
and we must realize
that all of our problems and heartaches
are in truth opportunities in disguise
as the wheels keep turning.

Confidence takes away fear
so we can become
the master of ourselves and laugh
at our mistakes and our burdens
will lighten and we can  not
waste another moment mourning
yesterday's misfortunes
and as the wheel turns
our failures teach us.

What sometimes breaks us
makes us stronger and in the end
our strength is unbreakable
because when we discover that strength
we begin to believe in ourselves
and others begin to believe in us too
as the wheels keep turning.

As I turn from the past
and return to the present
I look into the eyes of love again
knowing that she will be the last
because her eyes focus on the present
and she helps me to let go
of those things that were
very bad in the past
and were not meant
to last.

As nothing grows into something
hope is found and love becomes a condition
in which the happiness of another person
is essential to our own
so all we can do is dare to dream
and believe that our star will guide us
as to which way to go

The feelings that I try
so hard to hide are always
able to escape in my poetry
and in those words
I am naked to the world
and  there I cannot lie.

I open my heart hoping
that readers will see the vastness
of  my own insignificance
hoping that my words
have the power to
change someone for
the better.

My poetry is usually written
single draft as a means
of expressing emotion-in-the-moment
and I allow the words to flow
watching where
they go.

Don't compare my life to others
because sometimes life isn't fair but
it is still good so make peace with your past
so it won't ***** up your present
and know that everything changes
in the blink of an eye.

However good or bad something is
know that it will change
and you will be loved not
because of something you did
or didn't do.

Come to realize that
growing old beats the alternative
-dying young and miracles are waiting
everywhere as the words
that I have to offer the world
always find their way
