Smoked a cigar
Ravi on the sitar
moving on to Bihar
trying to learn
some Hindi.
Whoever danced the rain dance,
congratulations
you won.

Sunday and no Sun day
everything is a choice
or so it's said,

I choose to stay in bed
She has other ideas.
This is not a Greek restaurant
we are not talking about plates

broken
and any words spoken will not mend or repair,
where did it all go wrong?

well,
they probably wrote a song about such a thing and some old-aged warbler more than likely got up to sing

still broken
finished breaking
time to take
the washing in
it's raining
but it always is.

it's a good job that I'm a happy guy.
Oh my
you look so nice
I
had to look twice
before I realised
her eyes
were not on me

She said
don't count your chickens
or
I'll skin you alive.

jeez
my life is tough.
Tonight
I'll finish work at seven
get home at eight
have a shower
a glass of wine
( not at the same time )
put on pyjamas
relax for an hour
go to bed
sleep
wake
go to work for 10
( yes, work again )
finish at six
shop
for snacks
shower
wine
relax
Sunday repeat
Monday repeat
Tuesday
I'm beat
Wednesday
soak my feet in a tub of mustard
( old wives tales without fail always work )
and so do I
it keeps me active.
One day I shall rest
be a guest and someone
other than me can cook
and wash and dry,
yes indeedy
I shall
one day
be that guy

but for now
I work like a cog
in the machine
I'm a dog
barking up trees

thought it was a dream
but no
scheduled to appear
three hundred days a year

What flamin' Bank Holiday?
