On the verge of stopping
a period ready to end it all
but I chose not to
and again take the risk then fall

This mixture of emotion
a nonstop feeling
like a perpetual motion
constant and unceasing

My unending thoughts
are like quicksand
that consume me entirely

Perhaps this is the
very condition of existence
to feel the bizarre
nature of being a human

That not all stars
can be fathomed into constellations

As I find solace in Your arms
everything will be fine
and no one can harm
this delicate heart of mine.

You're broken,
but try to mend
You've fallen,
but you pretend

Feelings remained
but he left
Life has changed
but love was kept

Little girl
Jhoerina Honrado Mar 2015
I saw a little girl
and as she giggle as she twirl
I was caught up in a little whirl
of flashbacks that are slightly blur

Moments when I was a kid occurred
times when I laugh at things that were absurd
crying when my eyes were squirted with a lemon
and hiding inside the carton

T'was the good old days
but now I'm stuck in a maze
tryin' to find myself back
as if I'm lost in the track

It's been 10 years when I left my toys
as I found new joys
and my older self seems to miss
that tiny kiss of a bliss

Now I'm saying hi
to the world of adulthood
and I'm bidding goodbye
to my childhood

As my thoughts become invisible
and reality is just invincible
my ever younger self starts to fade
the little girl was now a shade

So beautiful,
& therapeutical
A circle full of life
Just like the boy
I adore the most
An orange sun in my sky

But some things come to an end
So the sun bids goodbye
Just like my feelings
That fade..
& slowly die*

Your love is enough
Jhoerina Honrado Mar 2015
Fill the gaps of my heart dear Lord,
embrace me with your loving word.
Help me stitch my broken soul
and again we’ll make them whole.

With every pain that I endure
it is You that makes me pure.
And when times get tough
Your love is enough.

Staring from afar
under the night sky filled with bright stars
here 'goes the sudden rush of emotions
distracted by my own convictions

Which one really matters?
Continuation of you and me
(is this really better?)
or separation then wait and see
(or is it the latter?)

Looking back at the moments that have transpired
wondering where it all went wrong
it is truly a love that we once desired
now I'm afraid it might not be for too long

Maybe we're still a "not yet"
so for now, "I bid my adieu"
and when it's time
then, "I love you"

Why can't we be
just like Newton's third Law of Motion?

That the higher the level of my love for you,
the further you must fall for me too.*

what's heavier than
the unbearable pain
& inevitable worries
your heart carry?

what's worse than
a mind lingering a
painful memory?

and what's even defeaning than
an ear hearing
the saddest story?

Caught up with a fear
of losing you,

so I

try to keep you
unaware
that I let myself disappear

try to remember you
unaware
that I've forgotten myself

try to hold onto you
unaware
that I let myself go

I was too blind to see
that as I try to make you alive
unconsciously I slowly die

At 2 am
millions of people
are wide awake
numbing the ache
from a love that was fake

thinking
deep
&
missing
someone asleep

At 2 am
millions of people
already sound asleep
in their dreams they keep
when awake they weep

a pillow
embraced
&
no idea
they're being missed

You are a poem that breathes
sometimes the missing rhyme I need
You are the blood in every word
that my pen bleeds

With a single smile,
I was charmed
With a single laugh,
I fell in love
With a single touch
I felt alive*
