What if love was contagious
Like some sort of disease
Affecting all religions and races
Bringing the world to its knees

Where a cure is never found
Where no one even tries
A disease that for years sticks around
Contaminating all of mankind

From a kind word being said
To a hug when it's needed the most
In hopes it quickly spreads
With everyone being the host

What if love was a disease
And it was highly contagious
No need to put us all in quarantine
Because love is a disease that would save us

Teach me Lord,
To have the faith that makes mountains move
To never doubt when it comes to you
To have the wisdom to speak the truth
Teach me Lord to be like you

Show me Lord,
The narrow path through the winding hills
The hardened heart that needs to be healed
The patience needed to be still
Show me Lord what is in your will

Guide me Lord,
Humbly in what is right
From my darkness into your light
From the death I lead into the one true life
Guide me Lord with your Holy sight

Forgive me Lord,
For the times I've done it on my own
For the thoughts that invade me when I'm alone
For the times I've hurt you and have not known
Forgive me Lord and bring me home

She's waited so long and is last in line
Hoping one day to be chosen
Her friends are all married and have left her behind
In her heart she's all but frozen

Yes, they've all but left her standing here
With concern upon their faces
They really do feel for her but not so near
As wanting to trade places

I met an old man
On the pathway of life
He was about to step off
I inquired of him why

He said he was tired
And his days they were through
It was time to pass on
This torch to the youth

I said there was much
That I needed to learn
He replied it's not something your taught
It's something you earn

If I would just set
Selfish ambition aside
Then I could get on
With the true meaning of life

We hit the crest of the hill
He turned to me and said
You didn't follow me here
My son you were lead

If you'll look down below
At the world that you see
The wisdom you search
Is not in desires
Or even in wants
It's in others needs

She floats above the poems
Sprinkling dust between the lines
Starting off a gentle flow
Of rhythm mixed with rhyme

She is the fairy of the poetic dust
The moment in the making
Where magic comes together
The desire she's always craving

With a flapping of her wings
Comes a flipping of the page
Helping the writers mind to see
What it is they need to say

She smiles at all the writings
The truth in what they're saying
She rings the Bells of Righteousness
On those she feels needs saving

She is the fairy of the poetic dust
The purveyor of the pen
Keeps the writings of the day
Moving out and moving in

As she floats above the poems
Sprinkling dust between the lines
Starting off a gentle flow
Of rhythm mixed with rhyme
This was written for a dear friend on another site that is always so generous with her comments, much like our Timothy...
I peered out the window
A beautiful scene.
The stars twinkle bright & the aliens green,
Blue mist in the air from their foreign machine ~
I inhaled deeply this magic vaccine,
Tickling my skin like an amphetamine,
The sensation so pure
I know what it means...
So I've crawled into bed,
Others would think it were obscene
Except you my love,
You're my King, I'm your Queen.
Stealing kisses from the snow falling from afar,
Observing the abundance of the early morning stars.
My ankles snug, poised in the frozen sand bar,
Humming away the theme of our Creator’s world so bizarre...
Stringing along our existence with His arctic guitar
Surrounded by glistening sheets with energy of which we are.
Infusing the transfer of the layer so crisp with the strength to disregard,
So adequately I begin to absorb the ice-covered reservoir.

Nature’s zephyr left me with a comfortable chill,
Permeated with grace I embrace and stand still -
Intuition fulfilled my own free will,
A sudden thrill sent me up the near by, slippery hill.
Fluttering above the glazed, unexplored grounds so whimsical,
Transcending spiritually to consume the metaphysical,
Flowing along the ice-capped realm this feeling is instilled,
Flawlessly captivated, my mind, body & soul shall never be ill.

At no cost I flew through the mighty clouds into another dimension,
Meticulously guided in a new direction.
Delicately looking down, encouraging my full attention,
The allure of the world sparkled with sheets of passion,
Gleaming like diamonds, the frosty land gripped my connection.
Exquisitely wintry & white, I smiled and knew this was my imagination,
How I adored the absence of gravitation, this was my creation.
I brought along my crystals, surrounded by protection,
“Dear Eliza, The center of the world has sent you an invitation.”
I've messaged along a pure white dove,
Once it reaches you it'll shower you with love,
Under it's wings feel the winds embrace
With gusts of love that tickle your face -
Spewing hearts of gold blinding with light,
Brushing rays of beauty infiltrating your sight.
