Sometimes it's great
just to relax here &
to let the music wash over me
It fills my ears
and winds itself into my blood stream
It wraps around my slowly beating heart
And it pulses with it, peaceful

It is my calming joy
It is my relaxing symphony
And I can lay here
And I will feel secure
I can gaze above me at the wide universe,
with so many questions,
but those questions are for another time
Right now is for admiring the beauty of the galaxy

These clouds float over my soft skin,
spraying it's percipitation
along my upturned face
I can feel the rain,
and the sunshine,
And I can see the rainbows dancing
behind my closed eyelids.

Slowly, ever so slowly,
I open my eyes
to the world around me
And I see
I can see life and the earth
The angels that shine in the heavens
as they sing thier soothing melodies
This moment is perfect
And I release a relaxed sigh
I can feel the hues and pigments
of calm spread without me

I am at peace
If ever a child should cry in front of you
Collect his tears
Scoop them up greedily as though they were rare crystals
And save them, nestled soundly in the depths of your pocket
For trust is a hot commodity

If ever a child should laugh beside you
Record the melody and transfer it onto the sleek, glossy surface of a record
It will become your favorite sound in all its rarity
Beautiful even as it skips and stutters

If ever you should notice a child lost
In the deep abyss of loneliness and solitude
Light a torch and draw out a map
So he can venture his way back into your arms

If ever you should trade these youthful crystals for swarvoski
Trade that laughter for a soundtrack of jazz
And if ever you feed a child juice on an empty stomach
So he struggles to enjoy artificial sweetness
As he realizes he is missing true nutrition

Do not be a parent
Go back in time and build a barrier
between you and your partner's willingness to build
The grandiose and admired structure of family
And if your friends are “trying for”
Make them prove that they will soon “fight for”

If ever you should
Consider
Truly consider.
Then savor
Every crystal,
every song of laughter
and every found embrace

You're sick and tired of the things you used to know
Now you bargain for another place to call your home
If life was easy we would all be singing happy
As god would have it we can never look for hope.

So, caught out in the rain
You cried wolf
Once dry, whet again
Your taste for another, other place
A face.

Had you been broken from a failure in the start
You wouldn't have to check the falter in your heart
Shock waves and heartaches and wounds of yesterday
Cut, collected, and sealed in your throat
Decisions and numbers, and the things that you wrote.

So, caught out yet again
Your lust paled
Regrets and demands, your borderline
Body bag of broken hearts!
When farewell is said
And no light is seen anymore
When you know sleep is not in the cards
And eyes are all shut around you
The world around becomes your own
Personal hell

You see dancing shadows against the ceiling
And your eyes are fixed on them, you try to follow their way
The smile of a wicked lover reflects from the mirror and it sends shivers down your spine
You hear the desperate shout of a woman
No one will be answering her
Not then, not now, not ever.

The man who sits there, night after night,
Paging through forgotten memoirs, with the dark soul and piercing eyes. He is the one who breaks your heart. With a ciggarette in his hand, he reminds you that life with the light on is just a hoax.

"The bitterness of dissapointed will be the persistant flavour in your mouth if you keep on believing there is more to everything around you." He says, "So go on, little girl, without putting any of your faith in that light."

He became your nightly companion. Said some wise words and made you think. Until one night he took everything with him.
The dancing shadows on the ceiling, the reflecting smile of a wicked lover and the desperate shout of a woman.
And finally you could sleep.
Can't sleep.
When I feel reality slip away
With every breath I take
I grab onto every single word you said
Remember every moment together
Forgetting about it, is my greatest fear
It is the only thing that keeps me here.
On a lonely night, a girl's mind pondered
On the boy who claimed he
Loved her.

She ran to his heart to feel the warmth but only found
Pain and no beat.

Tired and weary she fell asleep
In his arms.
She woke the next morning to
Find that he was still there.

His chin rested on her head
And she could feel his steady
Heartbeat underneath his shirt.
She smiled.
His soul is scribbled on
A page yet to be found.

I heard it was tainted by
The kiss of the rain.

The page could be torn
But it could also be smeared
By the hand of its author.

Never will it be seen by the reader.
