When held back or held down?
It's freedom we seek.
It doesn't take much.
Always fight when others try to take it away.

Many times, some cave into pressure.
Just like folks' with no opinions.
Who would cry about freedom to love?

And that freedom was granted from above.

No one could have made me believe it.
But you did.
All truth I thought I never believe it.
But I do.
Every time I see your smile.
I see it.

Every time, we are together.
I believe it.

Our love is heavenly.

Total Control

They say silence is golden.
Remain quiet, don't speak.
But in truth all this is a scheme.

A cover up of devious things.
A child violated or a woman is abused.
Or some other type of scam.

When all they seeking total control?

A quiet voice covering for wrong hurt those hurting.

They say speak not evil of the dead.
Except some in death earned those negative words.
When at best?
They never reached out to stop the harm.

Total control is simply a tool.
To control all of your moves.

Just Saying

Flying the flag, doesn't make you American.
It's a symbol.
Holding up the bald eagle, don't make you American.
It's a symbol.

Many un-Americans fly the flag.
Even, some Americans burn the flag.

But it's the people that makes the country.
Symbols just a promoted imagery we constantly see.
Some cherish it.
Some worship it.
But it's the people that makes it great.

And many of us have made our share of mistakes.
But the loyalty of the people that keeps us afloat.
Giving you freedom to speak and stand on what you spoke.

And this a part of the truth of this country.

You can edit me down.
Remove me completely but you must accept, you can't erase me.
I'm in your mind.

I left myself deep in your heart.
So, you can't erase me as much as you try.
And I been told you have tried.

And you couldn't do it, even if you were hypnotized.
Because I have affected your heart.
I have touched your soul.

Some of us blessed with a Queen.
