But anything strong and black they are quick to protest.

Parole?
Back into society, you are released.
A chance is given to try again.
Some strive and succeed.

Then, again?
Freedom, some just not ready for.
Because the prison path is the road they returning to.

Men, into women after serving time around men.
Would make ever effort not to return to them.

Your music changed the perspective of music society.
A revolution of days of tripping that had many holding hands.
Imagine, all the people enjoying the music you left.

Of course, you were a Beatle and not completely by yourself.
You and your cohorts reached out and sung a beautiful song called help.

Least, with you not here?
We still have yesterday to recall.

Rare, I say hardly.
There are many others with felonies charges.
Yes, many black males not making their names, within the system.

Oh, not no business executive.
But, one hard dependable worker.
Yes, one of many black males.

Not that, any of us are better than those that travel through the system constantly.
We had a goal to accomplish and one being avoiding prison.

It's easy to join and easier to avoid.
But hard to get out even if you're innocent.
So I walk with pride and highly so.

One black male, or one of many not out seeking trouble.

A bigot sees color.
But truly the wrong ones.

Electric bills take money.
Water services take money.
Rent takes money.

Even, if paying taxes for a property takes money.

But a bigot sees all the wrong colors.

Then, in truth, they concern, with their friends' opinions.
Some, simply can't handle the pressure of being an individual.

Who remembers that thick black skillet?
Almost worse than a hammer.
Heavy duty but reliable.

Unlike, these pots and pans that burn easier today.
That black skillet stood out in various ways.

Everybody, but you.
We sit, we listen, and we judge.
Yes, we do.
I'm only telling the truth.

The leader of the flock gives their opinion on political this and that.
Yes, they crying loudly under the attack.

But hide behind those infamous words?
You should never put your mouth upon leaders of the church.

But just because they speak?
That doesn't mean, we all agree.
Sure, some nod their heads.

But it doesn't mean, they are on board.

We listen.
We sit.
We judge.
Except, we are aware of those famous words judge not if you can't be judged.
