slept between her thighs
for hours at a time
i could stay there all night
and you know i gladly would
but a woman has to keep some pride
am i right?
nowadays, i don't feel so right
but good god, i'm in love
(or I was)
and that should be enough
so i use my tongue to
lap up every apology
swallow it whole
even the stem
so that maybe one day
i can look past your sins
and call you

M I N E
This life has never been
what I  expected
And I will never see
my own reflection
And even though I've know
This lie I live is old
Its far too late
To break from these chains

Even with this pain
that I've kept inside
Between the here and now
In between the time
There's a void that cries
By these lies that blind
There its set engraved
That it's far too late
To break from these chains

This life will cease to be
Much as expected
Because you'll never see
My true reflection
And even though I'm scorned
That which you'll never know
That It's far too late
To break from these chains

Even with this pain
that I've kept inside
Between the here and now
In between the time
There's a void that cries
By these lies that blind

There its set engraved
That it's far too late
To break from these chains

This life has never been...
As I expected
I never meant to be...
so self deceptive
And now  its far too late...
To break this chain
This lie is too old...
It's me that I mourn....

Even with this pain
that I've kept inside
Between the here and now
In between the time
There's a void that cries
By these lies that blind

There its set engraved
That it's far too late
To break from these chains
The slightest smile
The quitest laugh
The shortest kiss
The dimmest light
That touches your eyes
The small moment of happiness
That fills your heart
Savor it while it lasts
Because it might never happen again.
The midnight scream
The clock strikes 11 and all becomes quiet.
No sound can be heard, but a car so far away.
Tonight is chilly and you would be silly to be out.
Mist in the air to make away the smell of fish.
The clock hit 11:30 and you see a mouse running the cobble street.
No cats for a dog to bark at.
As you walk, you see the shops all closed down the night.
11:45 voices from the bar you can hear they are enjoying their beer.
The clatter of glass makes a little music to the ear.
As the midnight clock strikes 12.
A scream you hear that sets your bones to chill
Happy new years is the midnight scream.
