The hot bath water helps me not tonight
This feeling of uncertainty fogs my mind
Like the steam rising up fogs the mirror
Lots of thoughts racing through my head

Hoping we don't just turn to memories
Perhaps it just went too fast
Hoping we are going to last
Perhaps we're really in jeopardy

The pupils of eyes, gateway to the soul
A scorpion, venomous and painful
Crows and ravens, ominous
Black Pearls, rare and priceless
Caves, deep and winding
Igneous rocks, sharp, cutting
The emptiness of space, vast
Spider, waiting and weaving
The shadows of your mind, dark
Blackness of your soul, swallowing

I don't know anything about it
I just ***** my words on a page
I don't try to learn
I don't try to improve
I'm just really good at talking
And I guess you're willing to listen
So thank you

:)

Mind in a fog
Can't write a poem
Words aren't coming
Head is just spinning

I remember the way I weave words
Seemed so easy for me to do
Right now I can't form a sentence
Maybe a bit of food will help

Wanting to write a limerick
Feels like it's a gimmick
Just don't have the passion
Can't find my writing fashion
Just need to find my topic and pick it
