Douglas was getting older he learned to appreciate life, after a few bad relationships. Never put your happiness in the hands of others That's your responsibility that's what he told himself. He loved people who didn't love themselves and they would mess with his mind making him hate himself because there was nothing he could do to please or make them happy.
Eventually he went cold turkey and walked away from these people that would make him doubt himself and his judgment. The friends he had would bad mouth him but this bad boy rep did him some good more than damage.
Also learning friends, don't talk about you behind your back. He respected them enough to say it to their face. His honesty would **** people off but it was out of love because he cared.

Going against the family is the worst because you feel like you let everyone down. The family doesn't realize they let you down on many occasions but turned a blind eye wiped away tears. Stay strong because showing weakness got you stepped on or pushed around.
Family uses humor to insult you but when you use the same tactic they aren't to happy with what's being said especially when it's the truth. Jokes turn into talking **** all of a sudden. Some can't take a joke so they try to get physical or try to insult you with lies making things personal.
Lots of respect for a person who calls you on your ****. It might be tough but it's nice to know someone is paying attention. While some talk and do nothing about it just talk wasting everyone's time.

Jen was over her cousin Ana judging everyone when Ana did way worse. Jen made a mistake or two owned up as well. Ana seem to throw everyone under because she had ***** little secrets that came to the surface. She would borrow money and not pay it back. Causing their grandmother to be sued.
Jen was angry because she loved her grandmother and this coat riding decay would have the nerve to talk after all she's done. She slandered Jens name making her not want to come around. He didn't get why the family believed a liar while Jen was honest and straight forward.
Ana was the worse of the worse she would use people to get her materialistic needs met. If she doesn't gain off or benefit.  she doesn't care about how about anyones feelings. She'd trying to isolate and turn the family.
Trying to take over in rank but definitely did not earn her place. Jen knew it would only be a matter of time till everything came to the light.

Jim was over dealing with people who asked his opinion and they wouldn't listen. He was over all the crazy that's why he was disconnected.
He cared he got the cold shoulder. The family would include him bring in on the drama. Jim refused to let them bring him down, so he mind his mouth and business.
After a few bad relationships; he chose to be single. Burned by a few friends it was easier to be alone. He didn't want people in his way, or slowing down.

Walter was always protecting those who hurt him. He was always up beat and positive once he started talking about no one seemed to believe him.
Walter was a family man that grew up with tough love. It felt like he has to earn the love of his parents and family to be accepted. He wanted to be himself without compromising his growth. It was important to be an individual not just another face in the crowd.
He respected the normals, and values that he grew up with, but didn't agree with some. He picked and chose what he liked because some were restricting and limiting him.
Walt was tired of holding back putting his life on pause because something was missing. He decided to live and hope it would all fall into place.

Betty was fed up with her cousin she did love her jut she was over, how she was two faced. Nice to others face but talking about them behind their back. Her cousin would use people for her personal gain if she didn't get her way, she would make a scene talk loud.
Betty loved her family but didn't feel loved, or disconnected. She didn't always agree with their behaviors and actions. Told to be quiet, it's hard to be silent when they are doing wrong. Told not to go against the family but the family always had problems with her and anything she did
The day Betty went to college learned to be on her own. She seen the world over all the old ways of life. Too many made up rules that made her feel limited and held back. Family didn't look out for her unless they got some kind of benefits out of what she did.

Monty grew up with that mobster never go against the family. As he got older family would go against him. Cousins that would give him attitude because they ******* up their life.
Monty was single and some of his cousins stayed in bad relationships because they had history or used the kids as an excuse. He didn't have much, but helped out his grandma paying rent.
When Monty struggled to get a a job everyone was mean, and disrespected him. He would find out the truth everyone that gave him crap, never contributed a cent. He took pride in paying rent to help his grandma.
As he got older he was more responsible and reliable while the next generation would try to talk down on him.
He wasn't a dead beat father with three babies mommas. He worked for his, while everyone talked like he owed them or like they did him favors. He worked hard and busted his *** earned everything he owns.
Monty was never materialistic a cousin who owns a house doesn't have the right to talk down or bad on anyone. He respected they own a house but it's about how you treat people. His grandpa cosigned when he passed everything was a nightmare.
Everyone thought they could fill his shoes but no one has the right. His grandfather united everyone would resolve conflict where these power hungry ******* divided everyone.
