We seek we climb
We grow we sow
We die we cry
Yet we live to
Find ourselves
In the midst of
The turmoil that
Often life can bring
And even death is
A part of life that
Must be accepted
As we move ever
Quicker towards
Our ultimate goal
And our ultimate
Destiny we grow
And we change
As we sow our
Actions and as
We understand
And learn from
The past and
What we have
Been through
To get us right
Where we are
Twitch of the eye, recorded.
Beads trickle down rippled foreheads.
The Voice is loud, but lips are sealed.
The pawns thoughts remain concealed
As the mad King addresses the board.

The cameras don't feel the chill
Nor the barrels, aiming still
Yet as the hairs on the necks, they stand
Fellow comrades of the land
Blandly hiding their rebellious wills.

His voice is ice, his head is earth.
His heart is fire but his gaze averts
The marble army changing sides
And as the jester laughs and cries,
Whites turn black and aim as one
And fire as if through just one gun.

No sudden moves
But the King is down.
No one comes to claim the crown.
Written during the North Korean antics, at a time I was coincidentally reading 1984 and the Communist Manifesto simultaneously! The speaker can be any reasonably tyrannical dictator that comes to mind.

Why do you feel this way?
Who did this to you?
Since when have you hated everything?
You're too young to hate the world
You're 21 and you think you know it all
Letting bad days seep into the night
And bad nights always ruin the next day
Not always
But almost always
You've seen all my curves.
And yes I mean more than my smile.
You've seen every curve of my body.
Where it gets narrow.
And where it widens out.
You know where every crevice is.
And you've felt and kissed my sweet tender skin.
You kindly kissed my mind.
We'll someone came to mind.
Who ?
They say kiss her mind and her body will follow.

In solitude,
The illusion fades.
A haunting symphony
Fills the silence with sorrow.

Cloaked in darkness,
He comes.
Pale hands emerge from the shadows,
Caressing the shattered pieces of my existence.

Calm,
Soothing,
He whispers.
Soft breath lingers on my skin.

Sweet murmurs
Embrace me with promises.
To stop the hurt,
To stop the tears,

*To set me free.
As we lay in the grass he shows me his night sky
Let's look for Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto
even though we know it's not considered a planet anymore
who cares
More or less let's not forget about Mars
and show me the night stars
Lets go to Alaska
and use the telescopes in NASA
Show me the galaxy
in its pure form of ecstasy
Show me your favorite constellation
and point me in its direction
And just between us let's let gravity
bestow beautiful calamity
between you & I
Show me the universe
in which we'll immerse
With the sweet scent of flowers lingering around
there's bound to be a meteor shower sneaking around
Let's go to the planetarium
and enjoy all the pandemonium
We're bound to see a shooting star
that isn't even that far
And with the tips of your lips
make a wish
as I give you a sweet tender kiss

Well we used to be pretty great
So pretty, pretty, great and everything was right
The light in your hair
When you'd dance and dance
Nothing compared
To that romantic phase
I wouldve given anything and everything
To you but now I just write and sing
About you

Things were nice
Oh the air was so light
Everyone said we were right
We only had one big fight
But that was the fight
The fight on that humid night
That humid night

Then you wanted to talk about all these things
But I've never wanted silence more in my life
On our hallowed hearts is etched a pair of broken wings
Tattooed in honor of things gone down the pipe
But I still think and I still talk and I still walk
Because I realized what I thought I never would
That no beautiful thing is just a walk in the park
No declaration of love is only etched in wood
It's written in you
And it's written by you
Written for that one person
Beyond the massif peaks of Europa,
Above the ancient pillars of Heracles
Where rain and ocean are weaving,
Lays a fabled kingdom born of waves
And noble strands, my beaten hearts
Haunting, the lost, lush sylvan lands
Of Galicia.
                   Where Incomparable, dark
Haired women, mythic, of Amazonian
Fairness, side the valleys and moors
Of soon forgotten dreams and secretive
Wolves slide amongst warmed runnings
Of the ram and moans of ewe, where
Way bountiful seas are over spilling,
In octopus and pearly gemmed shells,
The scalloped pilgrimages unfolding,
Where incense burns with under stars
Encased, the lost Atlantean temples
Of Egyptian sands and storied Gaels,
The clad forests of wandering Titans,

Where snow white beaches end forever
Unmapped in told footsteps, castaway,
As was the magi gift of treasured yards,
Enlightenments, of old and golden isles
Pearling the coasts, sailing the sweet airs
Crossing Iberian gates, to Elysian, eternal,
Galicia.
We lay society out on the table
And dissect it from its head to its navel
We mask its stench with rubbing salts
As we analyze its every faults
We sort through its entrails, in hopes to find
An answer to give us some piece of mind
But in the end death is still death
And we’re all getting closer with every breath.
