Love At First Sight

It was love at first sight,
darkness has become light.
Eyes glanced across the room,
my heart started to go boom.
Walked over and bought her a drink,
neither one of us could even blink.
We talked til the bar closed,
our feeling were evenly exposed.
We dated a week or two,
the we made love,
the whole night through.
The friction between us caused sparks,
we did it in cars, we did it in parks.
One magical night on the beach,
we were stuck together like a leech.
She moved in shortly after,
so much love, so much laughter.
Got on my knee and proposed,
she said yes, as I supposed.
After a year we got hitched,
her touch always makes me twitch.
We decided to start a family,
always exploring each others anatomy.
Finally our first child was born,
handed out cigars and tooted my horn.
We live a wonderful life,
I have the greatest wife

Cars

I chase cars
Those passing lights
Such short glimpses.
Like that time I saw you smile
+
I just have to chase these cars
I'll do anything at all
To see those lights last longer.
Like that time I made you smile
+
I remember my first car crash
I couldn't chase anymore
And I just stopped.
Like the time you stopped smiling.

Where a man goes
Often in repose,
Alone in candle light.-
Right. By his own designs...

He doesn't have to answer,
Can drop the role of dancer
And take just whatever.-
Endeavours he has on his mind

As fully as the coming breeze
Breathing in how it frees
His thoughts and ambitions.-
Intuitions resparked because of this...

Where a man goes
To lay down his axe, he knows.-
That in the moment when his body quiets.-
Riots cease and he can dream.|
That no one or thing,
Regardless of the news or excitement it would bring,
Cannot shake him, wake him or.-
Roar so loud as to be noticed.

This is where a man goes in fear.
Where when poverty and idle living, and beer.-
Cloud body and mind.-
Grind hope to crumbs.|
And stand on the perch of desperation,
Alone in fear and perspiration,
Dying for something to do,
Viewing savings turn to dried flies.

Returning always to where a man goes,
Delaying what he knows
To be all too true.
Do or die, or start anew.-
I think it's been a full year since I last wrote something.

Question marks
tucked safely in their beds
this dancing in my eardrums
is disconcerting
collapsed into a light socket
smallness becomes smaller
vitality shrunk to a keychain pendant
time leaves track marks on my body
doors crack open,
watching me think
(please, turn off the light)
laborious trains of thought
off their tracks
shrink wrap over my nose and mouth
if I knew why
I would tell you

I am the mistress of time
sneaking away
to our meeting places
urgently luring calm
inconsiderate of responsibility
burning our fragrances
on each other's flesh
leaving something
to taste until
our next rendezvous

If life was a song,
you would be the chorus.
Or at least for my life :)

Wanting it all!

(All what?)

We come from the darkest of wombs

We enter whatever street is there

••

Puerto Rican lovers in the rain!

We would enter any shadow
For

The slightest taste

••

(For we would find Home)

The songs play on but many the notes escaping

Seeking to find their mates

Seeking to be a new song
A whole song

On their own

••

Let us go along and know

New images
New rhythms

New faces in new nights

Let us go where mountain songs mingle with

The scents of holy barbaric streets

And where the saints

Dance magestic
All

Of the time

••

Let us escape like the notes of the songs

And become

New men for a new world

Where the saints sing about us
Becoming

One of them

••

Let us go to our real Home again

All images form at birth
And fade

At death

Let us die now and live

For the sake

Of the eternal tomorrow

Always today
