chimaera
Dawn,
birthing the world.

Light and dark,
the color hue
- hills and plains,
trees and gardens
and roads and country roads
and old cored places
and not so old ones.

Breeze,
warmness,
cold,
shivers
and melancholy.

Just it all.
Inhaling it.
Figuring it
as a last sight,
exhaling.

chimaera
night fell,

clouds
crowding
a tumultuous sky.

in the darkening far,
houses alight into homes.

near, top of the hill,
bells await
enrobed
in the lit silence
of the tower,
lighthouse
in a darkening dark.

time
will pass by,
hurrying,
carried by the
echoed ringing
into a dissipated horizon.

far, far,
the stroke,
the echo,

reverberations
cradling
some melody
on loneliness.

One of the bravest things you can do in life is to be yourself.

Blood stains dye the carpet in
memory of popped bedbugs
The urge to scratch
lays beyond the vermin
No matter where it’s directed
it’s just out of reach
Some far off recess,
swinging on the monkey bars

       Mocking me

There we go, fell for it once again
Because holograms are so convincing
And I’m a pretense to the predicament
by being a participant
Licking candied sticks that inflame the ailings
The moans are a call to duty
Yet I’m unsure of what to administer
And the guinea pig phase is still in effect
So I should stop buying space on billboards
Until the ethicalities get stituated
AWAITING THE HELICOPTERS

The river wandered
up the garden path

knocked on the door
with a watery fist

demanding to be let in
to see the 6 o'clock news.

But it was
the 6 o'clock news!

And now it slithered
under the door

abandoning the television
to its fate

we climb to the
the bedroom then attic,

The sofa
up to its neck in it

cushions
like water lilies.

"Tick tock!" scolded the clock.
"Hush hush shush!" swirled the river.

stealing the voice
of the old time piece.

A doll floats
down the street.

We sit on the roof
awaiting the helicopters
It's not what you leave for your children but what you leave in your children that truly counts.
You can't keep others happy if you're unhappy yourself...love yourself, smile often and spread the positive energy around.
