Constanza Aug 16
On the brink of night, where fear takes flight,
I tremble to leave my love in endless shadow’s plight.

Life, a fragile thread, quivers in my grasp,
While deep within, a wild yearning gasps.

The love of my life, so near and dear,
Will linger in twilight, with a heart severe.

Every beat of sorrow, every falling tear,
Echoes the anguish of a game not lived here.

I seek solace in the cold, vast expanse,
Caught in a struggle, a ceaseless dance,
Between the dread of parting ways and the will to cease,

I yearn for a balance, a semblance of peace.

Can balance be found in this internal strife?
Can love offer comfort at the end of life?
As fear and hope intertwine within me,
I search for a path where endings and futures agree.
