Don't go crazy for me
I'm in love with another
My heart, my everything
Belongs to my better half
Please, seek love northwards

Your pain in my heart
I know that feeling
You can't be the king of my jungle
Nor I the Queen of your empire
Like a royal, my path was set

Truth, "Oja okunkun ni igbeyawo"
But, I have chosen my path
We were but friends
I'm sorry if you fell in love
And this, a final goodbye

Aje
"Aje a wa o!"
"E o ni shorti oh!"
Just tell this to Maami
In the dawn of a morning
On a typical market day
And she'll pour you the best
Straight from the breast

You need not be "Omoluabi"
One of the descendants of Oduduwa
As I have just shown you an inlet
Into a crest full of treasures
Accessible by your attitude
Which determines your altitude

Where character will take you
Character will stop you
When you are in Rome
You "Rankadede", as a norm
Let my people be your people
And let peace rain

Forget not my friend
In the land of "Karo e o ji re bi"
Honour, respect begets blessings
Even if we are deemed cunning and deceitful
In the tongues of Maami lies "Ase"
So, the next time you visit our marker square
Remember the pass code
"Aje a wa oh!"

Your glossiness; amplified by sunlight
With a distinctive smell
You are curvaciously curvacious
Full of life and robust energy
If I decide to open the crest
Please tell me, how much gold?
Tell me, how much?

Dorning luminous colours
That seperates you from the multitude
Save for the blind, none can miss your presence
Heralded by a strong and seductive fragrance
Surely; I think, you were created on a Sunday
After God rested on Monday

Astrologers follows the stars
For me and my everything, I choose you
Like a beacon to an Airplane
Your firm rounded headlights;
They are my longitude and latitude
Sending strong signals to my temple
And if you say "No", I'll die...

This is not about your "Tembe"
I just want to be lost in your world
And be the co-pilot if your plane
Hence I choose to disrupt tradition
Why kneel, with a precious ornament
When I can do it poetically
With poweful lines woven specially for you

Your real gloss is inately in you
Not in Mary Kay or Estee Lauder
I can't guarantee you heaven on earth
Nor all the precious ornaments in Kano
But what I promise you with my life
Is a lifetime of love and friendship

This is where it gets tricky
With every courage I can muster
Backed by the backing of the Backer
With a glow of pride and responsibility
And on this very special date
I ask poetically, will you marry me?
Just say "Yes", please!

I listened with rapt attention
As my heart raced against time
My heart beats for you always
And each time I travel the night
All I want is to wake up in your world
A world of ecstasy, intended for pleasure

Each time your picture flashes
The man in me rages
Then again, my heart palpitates
My mind gravitates towards your star
Please lead me to your stream
Let me be your "Keregbe"

All I am, all I'll ever be
Is designed for you abinitio
Now I understand the place of finding
It's a long night my dear
My bed is becoming lonely without you
Now, this bachelorhood is boring
I am ready to be the man

I want to wake up to your breathe
Get lost in your holy temple
With cuddles and kisses
Talking about our beautiful tomorrow
Please take me to your gods
The one you rode to planet earth
It's time to place a ring on it

Subtly, we demonized Hijab
We race at the sight of Zamgbeto
When Indians says "Nemaste"
We see a bunch of comics
Today, are we not "The New Masquerade?"
How I miss Yesterday

Ignore the warnings at your peril
Don't die before you die
For there is a time to die
If you die your die now
Who'll write your legacies?

In you, songs yet unwritten
Books awaiting publishing
Industries crested in your name tag
"Things" yet unshagged
Giving rise to a generation
Truth is, you are too young to die

Your village people are still active
Constantly testing their microphone
Please, prove them wrong
I miss school and church too
I miss my job like, but safety first

I miss hugging Onyinye
I miss my weekends of football
What about dateline with Silifa
Never will our lives remain the same
My only advice to you
Stay safe, survive 2020
Only then can you try again

If I don't trust myself
How can I trust another?
Who gave me a hand
Then fed me to the Lions

They come in different shades
Sometimes, more beautiful than violet
Unfriendly friends, in friendly garments
Dear Friend, trust, but suspect everything

They pound you in a mortar
Dream killers and nay sayers
If you can but be still
They will soon manifest

Before the rooster crowed
He manifested three times
If the Messiah had a dose
Be prepared...

Beyond the smile, look
With outstreached hands they come
Smiling surreptitiously at the prize
If only you can engage your minds' eyes

In Robert Greene I found wisdom
If you haven't seen "The Book"
You'll be lost in their "poli-tricks"
You should see "Fourty-Eight Laws Of Power..."

I watched the trees sway
They moved in unison
With a swagger unmatched
They sang holy hymns
Like the celestial choir above
The output, soronous

On them, the birds docked gracefully
Life is healthier with trees
But until it falls to the ground
It is but a seed to be nurtured
Slowly but surely in tempest storms
Aided by xylem and ploem

In the journey of life
Be the tree, growing in style
In leaps and bounds
Weather the storm
Maybe one day, you'll blossom
Rising above lucid clouds

Give me your oxygen
Take my carbon dioxide
Like a tree, one step at a time
Just one day, we'll get there
And appreciate nature in its purest form
In this tree called life
