Aje
"Aje a wa o!"
"E o ni shorti oh!"
Just tell this to Maami
In the dawn of a morning
On a typical market day
And she'll pour you the best
Straight from the breast

You need not be "Omoluabi"
One of the descendants of Oduduwa
As I have just shown you an inlet
Into a crest full of treasures
Accessible by your attitude
Which determines your altitude

Where character will take you
Character will stop you
When you are in Rome
You "Rankadede", as a norm
Let my people be your people
And let peace rain

Forget not my friend
In the land of "Karo e o ji re bi"
Honour, respect begets blessings
Even if we are deemed cunning and deceitful
In the tongues of Maami lies "Ase"
So, the next time you visit our marker square
Remember the pass code
"Aje a wa oh!"
