When the images of the world seem false,
we wonder if there'll ever be a cost;
For dismissing all the craven features,
as if they're disturbingly wayward creatures.

For once I transported a ragged stone,
where I envisioned would be its home;
The ocean grabbed it from my hand,
I'd never witnessed a gesture so grand !

So I began to believe in a higher power,
which serves our souls from hour to hour;
And the world became a softer place,
where my anger could transform to peace.

The sun would shine and rain would fall,
the days proceeded in rainbow's shawl;
No more to doubt the cursed woes,
that traverse like nomads through the snows.

Oh, to my dear Lord I thank Thee sweetly,
for taking my stone to the ocean deeply;
It stood out among the raging plight,
which made us forget who owns the night.
Honesty fuels the learning process,
opening doors and windows wide;
At its core there's pure emotion,
within a sphere where thoughts abide.

With solid emphasis on mass appeal,
to follow paths of common knowledge;
The essence stirs in forward movement,
carrying ideals over life's lofty bridge.

The beating heart can tell the tale,
of past betrayals which easily lie;
Within the shadows of destiny's will,
wherever false prophets lived and died.

Each spirit will embrace a noble cause,
unleashing righteousness from divinity;
As ultimate truths are raised on high,
pressing onward to cosmic infinity.
Disturbing lines of wicked ways,
break up among the hills that sway;
Beyond the river's flowing path,
where seas of gloom turn into glass.

The smoothest sky will not erase,
the jagged edges from your face;
and in the hazy moonlit night,
each victim craves the wayward light.

While creeping slowly through the day,
emotions fade from shadows gray;
With wounded sounds from enemies,
who've captured voices from the trees.

Shards of glass cut like a knife,
which humble us in pain and strife;
Will hope deliver us from fear,
when raindrops fall like holy tears ?
If only now we'd discover nature's touch,
the earth's boundless gifts so rare and pure;
Our hearts would sing along in open air,
And our days would seem tranquil and secure.

If only now we'd try to honor heaven's vows,
to share in mankind's woes around the world;
How marvelous to ease the pain of humanity,
attempting to destroy what poverty unfurls.

If only now our neighbors would be friends,
bringing joy and love to those who suffer daily;
The smiles of many strangers soon inspire,
each soul to rise and face each other freely.

If only now we'd think about the children,
who'll take our places in the years ahead;
Our vision would add on another dimension,
to cure each callous word that hate could spread.
This could be better, I'm sure, but "hope springs eternal", the old adage says, and that's what we desperately need in today's chaotic world !
Conspiring to expel the varied notions,
which tear us apart without emotion;
This energy that steals away our souls,
leaves mortality to feast upon the whole.

Mysterious flights of fancy take their aim,
deterring wishes to arrive in hopeful gain;
And sensing all emotions which arouse,
by exploring every truth in future's vows.

While cloaked in purple shadows' wrath,
the strong will seek a never-ending path;
Which prevents all doubts of everlasting light,
to invoke clear answers to anxieties of the night.

Distant voices carry on relentless rhymes,
as disappointments mount in forward time;
Each soul will suffer all its lonely wants,
when searching in a field of garish haunts.

If only we could see what lies ahead,
perhaps the days would pass without the dread;
Of life completely wrapped in mystery,
the terms of which are guarded preciously.
From multitudes of silent screams,
to quiet whispers that prevail;
In empty clouds of wisdom's offerings,
forming hollow sounds which always fail.

Crackling fires of warmth bring comfort,
to those abandoned in the cold;
And join the sharpened tongues of anger,
destroying tales from days of old.

The ageless relics that are left behind,
which challenge modern edification;
Soon enter into mass communion,
defying each promised revelation.

While shouts of horror dissipate,
dissolving into scattered mists;
Our minds concoct another way,
to wound and shatter ancient myths.
Staggering through the ancient doors,
of unknown warriors' repent;
Bravely abiding signals ahead,
despite the shroud of deep descent.

Wondering now what's truly at stake,
when crisscross patterns reject;
The straight and narrow walk ahead,
in the shields' protective ascent.

Crowds which curry fearsome thought,
will soon shrivel up and die;
As slings and arrows pierce the night,
of corrupting phantoms' lies.

A ghost lives on beneath the earth,
its wisdom rules the force;
Which cuddles up to man or beast,
in competition for discourse.

Let others call the crisscross game,
the worst its ever known;
But legal eagles crack the code,
reflected in steel and stone.

And everyone should rue the day,
when miracles have succumbed;
To raging wars that still survive,
in a world that's lost and numb.
