The heavenly sight of whirling clouds,
makes one ponder the sky's delight;
When fluffy pillowed pinks and grays,
converge and float away from sight.

In autumn one sees changing skies,
that cover the earth in violet hues;
Cool rains often energize the air,
so fresh and crisp from harvest's muse.

But the simmering sun soon finds its way,
shining on pumpkins like topaz stones;
And while the clouds have sifted past,
a pure aqua sheen recovers its home.

The russet days of October arrive,
in their vastly uncommon elegance;
While the winds begin to scatter leaves,
as purple clouds invade their presence.

The velvet canopy of autumn's sky,
refreshes our life on earth below;
And breathing in the cold night air,
we watch in wonder of nature's show.
Gone now are those we leaned upon,
for wisdom and care throughout our lives;
They've reached their heavenly home above,
where answers are honest and never contrived.

They were the wonders of our souls,
the stars which burned brightly each day;
Everyone sharing compassion and insight,
carving out paths to help find our way.

Now they rest, those thoughtful folks,
those who shared our visions of light;
Sweet memories stir deep emotions when,
we pray and bid them a fond goodnight.

Always look up to those golden skies,
and you'll feel their spirits among us;
The past and present merge together as one,
while hearts are filled with honor and trust.
for my beloved 'elders' who've passed onto a new world.
thank you !
The wandering echoes of our minds,
complete the verse in shameful rhyme;
Combining visions of sin's distraction,
while trolling paths of costly actions.

These enemies of thoughts persist,
through varied voices' promised gifts;
Pursuing all the senseless powers,
destroying lives through endless hours.

Then spiritual reign becomes a joke,
if crushed beneath the words we spoke;
Instead of praying for our release,
we wallow in our loathsome grief.

Surrounded then by tainted vows,
our worth diminished in the clouds;
However, then, did we go wrong,
from the shallow lyrics of a song ?
Walking along the silent road,
thinking of where I've been;
Taking the time to set to rhyme,
all the music flowing within.

Questions have always haunted me,
the answers never seemed to come;
But in the melodies of the night,
I hear the beating of a drum.

Or is it just my lonely heart,
that thumps inside my chest ?
And when the darkness rises full,
will life's purpose come to rest ?

Yet in the moonlit skies above,
my quest seems small and meek;
For soon the rains of autumn fall,
laying kisses upon my cheeks.
Fragile as a feather or dew-kissed leaf,
the heart can be torn like tattered cloth;
A pearled wedding gown tossed aside,
to be flung away and chewed by moths.

The perils of commitment's mysteries,
with feelings warped into wavering lines;
While damaged goods offend as solace,
but uphold the remnants of intended crimes.

And to the 'maiden fair' our sorrows go,
who waited many years for 'perfect love';
Her pale demeanor in loss portrayed,
as torment from the disavowed betrothed.

Into her bed our gentle lady remains,
while friends wonder if she can ever be;
Released from this false and grim betrayal,
or eternally held captive in solemn grief.
Reminder of the days when ladies took to their beds when shunned at the altar, lying heartbroken and ashamed.
Under the spreading clouds on high,
inside my skiff I gently glide;
Watching the calming water flow,
while golden skies put on their show.

As I lazily recline inside my boat,
my thoughts and worries seem to float;
While drifting on as in a dream,
my soul connects to this quiet stream.

The lilting river seems still as air,
and peace embraces my heart so fair;
I've carried onward through the day,
and stop where children come to play.

Reflections of my one true love,
which shines in waters of the cove;
Mirrors my life as it should be,
as I set upon the restless sea.
Along the path of righteousness,
rising notions that are limitless;
Promote the lights of love and cheer,
rejecting minds encased in fear.

Inside a world that's mostly gray,
a friendly shadow shows the way;
Into a place which comforts all,
and spirits answer worthy calls.

Among the shadows that reappear,
are those which banish anguished tears;
For when the road seems quite insane,
this friendly shadow takes the reins.

My shadow falls across the land,
preparing me to take a stand;
To help the lowly victims of,
the evil that destroys all love.

And when the dreams of angels die,
a second shadow fills the sky;
Where empty hearts can soon recover,
in vows to cherish one another.
