all my life I’ve felt
never

    good

         enough

she’s skinnier than me

     she has better skin
 than me
          she has prettier hair than me

I’m always second best

      second thought 

this marks the start of my journey

to self acceptance

last night

I watched the sunset

this morning 
I saw the sunrise

the sun slept longer than I did

but that’s okay 
I always found more comfort in the moon anyway
