Without lies
most of mankind
wouldn't have survived

What's the use
of wisdom
without freedom?
It's dreadful enslavement!

People learned more
from brokenness
than wholesomeness :
they had suffered the worst

Who knows how many chambers
   there are in the human heart ?
   each with its proclivities and nuances
   playing their individual part.

   Is there the congruence
   or the conflicting rub?
   The person has no say
   never has visited that mysterious hub-

   feelings and reason
  are poles apart
  how they struggle
  to be heard- how torn is the heart!

loving you
don't ask me
to explain

the mention
of your name
is enough consolation
it banishes my pain

but you know me not
I'm someone hidden
(in silent longing)
behind a secret curtain

but know too well
my love will never be returned

I looked low and high
  for a life- ally
  found finally the one
  who bears the name 'I'

I do what I should (it's my life--verily)

and don't bother to the slightest degree
