Knowing most things
  I can't do-- I lend
my energy to what's
  within my talent's scan

  there's the very likelihood
  I might not succeed
  still I regard it better
  than not to proceed

Let your poetry flow
as the ceaseless river
each poem a heart-beat
of your enchantment and wonder

I was created
but what I am
alone I made

My future
   in the past had existed
    by the present nurtured
    
    I'm by time
   shaped and moulded

    what am I
    and how defined-

     still an unformed human
    a symbol of a person

     a corpus of uncertain thoughts
     sentiments and words?

    but I do know
   as forward I go

   there will be a coming-together
   that makes me a wholesome character

I don't need
to say yes or no
what my heart holds
you completely know

....but it's in the wilderness
     of space and time
    that my true self
    I could find

If I should love less
than I should
I would be unworthy
of your love -

chide me, leave me
tarry do not
from your memory
just wipe me off

millions of suitors
are at your very door
look away from me
I'd but make you sore

If I should love less
than I must
how could I be
the lover you should trust?
