some distant barely dangling star
can pull you right from where you are
& there is where I stand amazed
that not so much can shake your gaze

so the over-captivated me
has climbed the very nearest tree
an arm outstretched to try and claim
the sky that made your spirit tame

& I fail at attempts to save
your insanity that I dearly crave
nothing more could draw me to
the darker side hidden from you

& save I could if clouds would stay
to starve you from the light of day
I'd tie an anchor to the rain
& swim we would with great disdain

I will you to become that night
where stars are not what make our plight
& tragedy is not so far
as keeping you from where you are
written in 2007, I believe.

we are loosely wound together
just mere days under our belts
but something screams genuine
and knocks on the door of my heart

she wasn't home before, my heart
she had been broken into, and robbed
steadily took her time, getting back home
to find a welcome mat, courageously laid

now she's sculpting her days around those moments
beating in tune with an identical, sound heart
avoiding fractures, robbers, and tears
at all costs---

Snow meanders down,
Winter smiles in its late bloom,
Our first white blanket.

As I sighed over the dusty photographs,

Of the storm that passed,

You called love,

The headphone was singing songs of yearning,

Our clothes still wet

From that day,

For the misty breeze from the bay didn’t let it dry,

And words dried up, the music retained,

Of chandeliers and little stars,

That you chose over

The dance that lit them up,

The idea harnessed,

Hurt by my eagerness to explore,

How could you be so quiet?

Like fallen leaves...

Of poetry,

And you gave me more than I could take,

I desired yet more

... More of you...

i carry your bones
the sad smooth curve of your ribs

i cleansed what was left of you under the tide
i'm back. the site is different and i'm needing a change. my style's a little different, and i haven't been writing a lot.
