Am I too always play the fool
a jester in your court of kings
to never know your touch your kiss
or share with thee the finer things

Am I too always be the hound
lieing faithful beside thy feet
to never know your heart nor mind
and never hear those three words sweet

Am I too always be the ****
never embraced by thy sweet hands
and die beneath the weight of time
that slips away like desert sands

Am I too always love you yet
unable here to make it known
then let this fool this humble cur
be as the sands on whispers blown

A promise painted on a kiss
that speaks in silence day and night
and guards the heart it's never known
and keeps you safe and holds you tight

Here
upon fresh linen
let me
once more
pen
for thee...

such poetic lyricism
as my tongue
could never say,

let these words like ink
flow freely
from the very heart
of me...

expressing openly
upon this
naked
cotton canvas
the want and need I bare
for thee,

let its stain
lie
upon thy unburdened flesh
in tattooed hues

for all to see

yet for only

you

and I

to feel.

I picked a paper rose
from a hat
of withered straw
and placed it in your summer hair
upon that
windy moor

I plucked plastic cherries
and the faded
lemon bow
and ******* your hair in pigtails
and brushed
away the snow

I up turned the bonnet
and then filled it
up with peat
and we planted in it daisies
from around
your naked feet

Let us return in spring time
to that spot
amongst the grass
where a Tongue-tied individual
won the heart
of his fair lass.

Avast yer hearty where's the party
where be the festive cheer
no Yule tide log nor mug of grog
to toast this time of year

Shiver me mate an empty plate
where is the fine roast bird
with golden veg around the edge
and gravy thickly stirred

Where be the cake for Davies sake
packed full of fruit and nuts
and marzipan with icing grand
to stuff this pirates guts

No double cream is this a dream
and figgy pudding... None
no sausage rolls or sweet filled bowls
where as your spirit gone

It's times like this I really miss
the indies and the tropics
let's go the pub I'm sure they've grub
and *** from clear optics

We'll make this night happy and bright
we'll share our love with friends
and toast for peace and wars to cease
and suffering to end

Let's do our parts open our hearts
let's share with folks our smile
and day by day in our own way
be happy for awhile

Be still my beating heart
for fear thy sound
awakes
once more
the longing of my soul
to feel her breath
again
soft and warm
upon my aching flesh
in prelude
of her touch...

her gentle lips
pressed against mine own
relieving my want
my need
in tender motion
of a kiss.

She stole milk from babies
as she poured herself a gin
and sold off our resources
as she got beneath our skin
She broke up the unions
and told us such grand tales
now tonight four nations rise again
England Ireland Scotland Wales
we will raise our glasses proudly
and toast the ****** burning
cause once she's on the devils spit
that ***** is now for turning
No love lost for thatcher in Yorkshire we willbe singing dancing and drinking this night

A rocking chair for two to share
upon the porch we built
with lemonade and hair in braid
and kisses without guilt

The bullfrogs song moves night along
as stars in heaven play
and you intwine your hand in mine
melting my cares away

The setting sun where wild deers run
marks soft the end of day
you touch my face with gentle grace
and drive all doubts away

The night floats in on silent wings
the cool night air now cold
so come now bed my angel said
this day has grown so old

Remember though before we go
to make it widely known
the rocking chair is ours to share
and ours my love alone

An American soldier walks into a shelled ruin to find a young girl huddled in a darkened corner, her hands covering her face, she is shaking.

Soldier ~ How Amongst this war torn masonry,
could Grow so fair a desert flower.
That hides so soft her eyes from me,
but yet steals from me the very power.
To reason love amidst this scenery,
as I ashamed now turn and cower.

She looks up and on seeing his uncertainty and gentle face finds herself drawn to him.

Girl ~      By what star was this night born,
that alights on so silent a step.
Adorning this dark with love not scorn,
and into my heart so softly crept.
Doth now my soul such thoughts adorn,
as through his eyes such sorrow wept.

They look at one another as the sound of automatic gunfire shatters the silence...

Soldier ~ If I could but steal one solitary hour,
and thus pluck it out of time.
Wouldst I not share it with this flower,
that has so ataken this hard heart of mine.

Girl ~      If I could but steal one unashamed look,
and seal this chance meeting with a kiss.
But for this war we are unstuck,
and never may we share such bliss.

Soldiers screaming orders and receiving commands.

Radio ~   Romeo Juliet 121 where are you,
let fly the shells that rend this night.
             and burn surrounding building too,
leave no cover from which for them to fight.

The soldier turns and runs out casting one final look over his shoulder towards her, she stands and walks to the doorway speaking.

Girl ~      May whatever God you pray to keep you,
and May he safe your journey be.
So when at last this madness through,
he leads you back to be with me.

Soldier ~ May whatever God you pray to guard you,
and keep you safe from hatreds eyes.
That come a time when we're unbound,
He let's us love without disguise.

The radio crackles into life orders are screamed and a shell whistles over the soldiers head, striking the second floor of her home causing the roof to collaspe.
He turns and screams running toward the smoke and dust billowing from the open doorway...

Soldier ~ What hell hath such disdain to break a heart,
With mortar shell and racial hate.
Imprisoning my soul now ripped apart,
amidst the sands of this ****** state.

He falls to his knees, rifle **** driven into the ground..

Soldier ~ Then let me here atone this crime,
ending this ache within my beating chest.
For without your love what use is time,
when by your side I seek to rest.

He pulls his trigger and falls over slowly hitting the ground as she appears through the smoke coughing, she sees him and runs to crouch down by his side stroking his bloodied face..

Girl ~      In suicide are we both ******,
and hell will own here our mortal soul.
But just to be once held soft within your hand,
would I suffer all to be made whole.

His knife in her hand she closes her eyes and thrusts deep into her Breast, falling limp across his body and in death knows his touch.

Sergent ~ Why when all men are brothers,
do we scar both heart and earth.
Feel humbled by the sight of lovers,
who knew that war attains not worth,
Killing the sons of faceless mothers,
that mourn now the life that they gave birth.

He walks away head bowed, other grunts gather around the couple and stare uncertainly at what transpired as love conquered death and cast doubts amongst the living.

Make room for me
there by your side
that in your arms
I may abide
and all this night
in sweet embrace
be happy that you
made me space
may your lips
and silent prayer
be things that I
may always share
so make some room
and bid me rest
within thy arms
forever blessed.

Night falls once more
and I alone
walk the sand dunes
of her sleeping
eyes
tracing our footsteps back
along the gentle stream
of tears
that flow along her laughter lines
painted skies of midnight blue
steal my breath
as smudged horizon blend
with swaying reeds
blown soft within the breeze
of lovers sighs
here I lay safe warm smiling
tracing I love you's
with idle playful fingertips
knowing in dreams
she sees me there
beneath the twinkle of her eyes
awaiting her return
when morning
comes.

( Lights up on a stately garden
centre stage stands a male figure
the right side of his face badly scarred and burnt )

By mine one deformities I'm I here undone
casting mine withered shadow or' a dying sun
as I long to feel the touch of soft lovers breath
from one such as she at this sweet eve'nings death
for I would die if upon mine own lips her kiss should play
granting me peace at this the bitter end of day
to know her embrace wouldst break my hollow heart
as I too with dusk must now depart
but come again the evenings sweet repose
and I again will come to thee my sweet autumnal Rose

( a female figure walks out onto her balcony as he slips away silently )

Oh gentle moon why doth thou mock my aching breast
where is the heart that beats beneath so honest chest
that sings in silent secret tone
a love that's mine and mine alone
come falling stars once more deny my wishes made
and hide from me as I must hide my pain beneath this false facade

( a shadow moves beneath her balcony to follow the first retreating figure )

Know not the truth of this unspoken and yet unrequited love
is not in features scarred or in stars above
but in the foolishness of pride
that hides ones heart and ones heart must hide
for two such souls within the throes of such abandonment
should find each others arms by mortal deeds and not by wishes spent
so onward night and guise me from all prying eyes
that I may bring forth their love before the sun doth once more rise
bid thee aid me in this my hour of need
and grant success to this my honest and most heart felt deed

White silky sands with rolling dunes
and velvet skies above
where kisses soft, caresses sweet
and all scented by love

where lips have lapped in endless waves
the contours of your shore
and hands have imitated breeze
to stimulate each pore

with limbs like seaweed soft entwined
in salt stained ebb and flow
trace hearts and need in aching skin
as passions fires grow

the pull of moon and call of dawn
are echoed in your eyes
as once again within your arms
we bathe neath autumn skies

Her autumnal eyes
burn like
beach lit bonfires...

warming my heart
and soul
as wind blown embers
shimmer
there gently,

a wicked twinkle
twinkle
little star
as all thoughts of sleep
tumble
to the sand ...

amidst hearts
etched with playful fingers
that idly
made sweet promises

that I.D.S.T
I.D.S.T means if destroyed still true it's what lovers in England write beneath their names in hearts so as when the tide comes in it cannot remove their promise.

I may not scream it from the rooftops
nor paint in rainbows cross the sky,
all the times I've thought I love you
with all the sorrow of a sigh.

I may not hold your hand in public
nor bare your bussom to my breast,
all the times I've longed to hold you
with a whisper gone unblest.

I may not dance with you at sunset
nor feel your breath upon my cheek,
as you too hold back in silence
all the words you wish to speak.

I may not fall before your beauty
nor let my heart or' ride my mind,
just to once admit it freely
yet the truth is so unkind.

I may not say my words in open
but here in private know I'm true,
for no matter what the world thinks
my love's alone meant for you.

Close your eyes
relax
breath deep and slow
as I with words
****** your aching form...

Feel my breath against your neck
no don't move
not yet
as my lips graze your skin
lightly dancing
in quick succession of kisses
between your
shoulder blades as you shiver.

My finger tips trace your spine
feeling every
delicious movement
as you arch backward tilting your head
I bite slow
your upturned chin
feeling your sigh upon me soft.

My hands with reversed finger tips
stroke your arms
tentatively touching your upper thighs...

Shush he's home
                   we will continue this soon...

To be continued.

From filth and death of fallen autumn made complacent in her garb of winter White
comes new life with fresh new scent to please and to delight
and by this rebirth of spring make merry jests at winters swift demise
for from these fair messengers we feel as yet sweet summers on the rise
So cry harvest and let juice of yon apple run
as we brave again the hardship of labours beneath an uncaring yet welcome sun.

in the absence of sleep...

letting your fingers
playfully tease the cold
from empty sheets

tracing the indentation left

unwelcome
yet sweetly whispered

wings spread

the gentle pinks

autumn hidden
