Forgive me
for never saying
what your heart as longed to hear
it's not that I cannot
but more
that I dare not

for what
words could I

a humble Poet speak...

to make
your heart mine own

as your heart

owns

mine.

I love the simple things
about you
Others often miss...

the way you tease your hair
with idle playful fingers

or tap you teeth with your pen
and chew the lid

When nervous laughter sounds
more like tears

the simple things are missed by others
and how I'd miss them

if you ever left me my love
DieingEmbers Feb 2013
I want to love you till the floor boards bleed

I want to rock you till you scream for sleep

I want to hold you till you lose your poise

I want to break you till you make that noise

I want to squeeze you till we feel like one

I want to please you till you've come and gone

I want to hurt you hear you scream my name

I want to tease your body till you go insane

I want to taste you in every bead of sweat

I want to find you in the warmth of wet

I want to see behind the tension in misty eyes

I want to break your defences with your plaintiff cries

I want to pen words upon you others can't read

I want to plow your furrow and plant my seed

I want to curse the lord almighty in risen steam

I want to be the beast that haunts waking dreams

I want to share heaven with a taste of hell

I wanna be the sin for which an angel fell

I heard her laugh
it was as if
every bird at once
found voice and sang
soft in unison
the song my heart alone
so long
had sung off key.

She was the music
that gave my words their meaning.

Sixtys the new thirty
so I've bought myself a bike
a Harley with a heart of chrome
to replace my shopping trike

no more bingo nights for me
my engine gunning loud
I've joined with the Hells Angels
and left the knitting crowd

No more standing in the rain
with my bus pass and my brella
im off to find myself some fun
with a rather younger fella

My hair net now an helmet
painted to look like flames
and notches on my fuel tank
cause I can't remember names

So clear the road I'm coming
and I won't be slowing down
cause I'm taking back my freedom
from this stuffy little town

Lock up your single men
hide them safe and sound
because the boys will all be men
if by this gal there found

My Harley roars and I'm away
another notch I've carved
so sixty the new thirty
at least then it's been halved.

What bonds bind my wrists
if not your words
that drip in heat of kiss
on naked flesh,
making of me a willing cohort
in your wicked game.

For once this rope
sang out in schoolyard rhyme
now echos screams in pleasures pain
as wooden handles held in sweating palms
now trace the heat of inner thigh.

The roughness
of well worn weft on silken skin
biting deep as bodies writhe
skipping to a new and frantic beat

You're here beside me
sleeping softly

and yet

my heart is aching
your absence.
Sleep steals you from me every night
DieingEmbers Oct 2012
I watch her sleeping
her beauteous imagery
silhouetted soft
against the cool cotton
of light summer sheets,
flowers with but the scent
of her sweet skin
bloom beneath her
in a rich tapestry of life
spread out before me,
I take a little time
to stop and smell the roses
before with a kiss
awaken her

my heart
wrapped within
my home spun faery tale
of love

DieingEmbers Nov 2012
Laid here counting roof tiles...

two at a time

my eyes heavy
but my lids in denial
of sleep

she whispers in my ear

are you awake
then adds
good
with a grin

WHY NOT abandon one basic need
for another
why not rest
upon anothers flesh
soft and warm
scented with the promise
of dreams
insomnia so cruely denies

Pillow pressed beneath her back
giving support
so sorely needed
amid the punctuated night time prayers

God called upon in blasphemous tongues
praised and cussed
in unison of mouths wet and open

Sheets that offer no warmth soon cast off
replaced by heat of breath
and perspiration sweet and salty
to the lips
kissing
nibbling
biting
nails find no fault inscribing thank yous
in reddened ink

Falling back exhausted yet wide awake
as by my side
cuddled in she sleeps
smiling

and I close my eyes and think myself blessed
for every night the first
for we two
have yet to sleep
together.

Share with me your sweetest dreams
let me here beside you rest,
now take me to thy bussom
that i may suckle at thy breast.
Feed me milk of human kindness
as your heart plays lullabies,
and gentle kisses wet my bald head
as I close my sleepy eyes.
Let daddy know I love him
as I know that he loves me,
as he turns down my blankets
in my bright pink nursery.
So until tomorrow
when I wake you with a scream,
share with me dear mother
your sweetest softest dream.

In a little cafe I know
I sit
alone
imagining you here
our hands
touching lightly
as we
subconsciously stir our drinks
Others passing by
look and smile
muttering
first date
so cute
and such a lovely couple
we smile
almost laughing

but not to be
as I drink alone
my bitterness
held with a china heart
my hands hold
tightly

maybe one day
you'll see me there
and ask
is this seat taken
and we will
touch hands so tentatively
and laugh
at passers by
while carving hearts with spoons
within the froth
of latte warm and sweet
upon the lips

as any
yet
untasted kiss.

Pass me the razor blades
hand me my pills,
fill my glass with *****
I need to cure my ills.

I'm sick of all the smiling
when my tears burn my eyes,
tired of empty laughter
when my laughter rings with lies.

My mask is crumbling
my smile is smudged and run,
God grant me forgiveness
and let this pain be done.

How can it be
you're just like me
and yet
we've never met

we laugh the same
know films by name
and quote the same sad song

but can't recall
meeting at all
though yet it don't seem wrong

the simple joy
of girl meets boy
and boy it feels so right

sometimes it seems
God answers dreams
as he did for us that night

What seems to be the problem
Erm I see though I've never seen one quite that big before,
My its red and swollen

Is it sore?

I think you should maybe keep it covered away from the ladies

Slow stepping to the sound of our two hearts beat
DieingEmbers Mar 2012
Yet by nights celestial light
when stars arrest in lovers heart,
and lungs made lead afear to breathe
and souls unwhole are torn apart.

The waters edge tinged by tears
salt upon salt a plaintiff squall,
as buzzards circle mocking me
as or' our lives shadows fall.

Whilst given time alone to think
my ev'ry thought returns to you,
and moments spent in shaded glen
doing the things lovers do.

So hear my pain and heal my heart
just promise my dark won't our souls part.

Sheave those daggers in your eyes
that cut to the very quick of me
Button those lips painted with lies
that cause me so much misery
lie down those arms let us not fight
I'm tired and want to rest
just come lay by me this night
and listen to my breast
is that not the sound of laughter
not the ache of given tears
so now and here after
box away your foolish fears

I'm here beside you in good bad or worse girl
For this is it this is life not the rehearsal.

Wish upon the stars
that we two share
and though we gaze alone

we are always together

beneath one common moon.

As with this and every night we spend
comforted by twilights touch
and midnights kiss...

wrapping our two hearts
within a blanket of stars
where wishes
and dreams come true

if you believe in me as I believe in you.

DieingEmbers Feb 2012
Sweet dreams of you
sweat drenched
scented by natural perfumes
overload my senses
as I again inhale you...

breathing you in with open mouth
tasting the warmth of kisses
from muted swollen lips.

Tongue seeking to give you voice
as sighs erupt into pleasures moans...

Back contorts
consorting with my fingers
tracing curves
wet from my touch.

Your hand gives me the heads up
and down
and up again
tongue lapping liguid kisses
teasing with tip
further scent from swollen bud...

your nails rake my shoulders
as you buck
an unbroken mare
fighting the bit
yet bit you were and nibbled grazed
teeth tentatively tugging
fleshy folds
as rivulets of passion coated my chin.

Sticky from your peach
I rise and share with you the taste
in our first oral kiss.

Death where is thy sting
when I am already stung,
by lips that laugh and speak and sing
the words once held by muted tongue.

For lo no light from window broke
no Juliet nor waining moon,
just honest words of love were spoke
that gave my heart a brand new tune.

So slings and arrows do thy worst
and misfortune come as may,
for here at last am I uncursed
as in her arms I softly lay.

Let scholars say he was the bard
and all his works a work of art,
but I would rather be fool hard
and know I am her work of heart.

See her shake her *****
as she stirs those pots and pans,
her hips a thing of beauty
as she taps them with her hands.
Her slippers keeping rhythm
as she shimmies cross the floor,
and she's singing along with em'
as she rocks from 12 till 4.
She's a twisting and a turning
as she raises up the heat,
with the passion she's a cooking
in her crazy tea time beat.
Clapping hands and jiving
as she adds a pinch of spice,
now her upper bodies writhing
as she slaps her buttocks twice.
there's hand prints on her bottom
where the flour left it's trace,
and she shakes em' cause she's got em'
with a smirk upon her face.
Now she's potato mashing
as she did back in her day,
and boy she still looks smashing
as her hips so softly sway.
Now shes Serving up and beckons
for me to pass my plate,
asking if I fancy seconds
then the meal will have to wait.
Now she's walking to the bedroom
with a two step on her mind,
and I turn up the volume
and close the door and draw the blind.
