You asked
and I afraid to answer
backed away
with muted tongue
and trembling lips
unsure of what to say
so press me not
nor question me
again like this I pray
just know I long
for your sweet touch
all night and through each day
for you are my ache
and wanton need
so I will silent stay

DieingEmbers Mar 2012
How do I love you let me count the ways,
stealing lines for amateurs so give Shakespeare his plays.

I love you like the corn the breeze,
like wasps the fruits of laden trees
and flowers sought by courting bees,

I love you.

I love you like the ebb needs flo,
like forests need the sun to grow
and you're the rain in my rainbow,

I love you.

I love you like a child and then,
like you've never known from other men
and If only you could my heart ken,

I love you.

I love you like a silent night,
like hearts with wings first tasting flight
and every time you hold me tight,

I love you.

so do not ask why nor fret or cry
nor let your doubts in words now fly
just know that all alone I'd die

because

I love you.

I gave my love a lovin spoon
carved with my heart and anchor thus
a padlock and a set of keys
to keep her safe and guard our trust
a comma here offering my soul
and ships wheel with set steadfast course
adorned it with forget me nots
to show my love was so enforced.

Daydreaming
made all the sweeter
by your shoulder
to dream upon
the movement of your chests
rise and fall
rocking me gently
the warmth of your breath and body
soothing the chill
of loneliness from my bones
as your laughter at the tv
lulls me sweeter than any lullaby
I'll rest now
silently listening to the beating
of your heart
my favourite song played always
and alone
for me.
DieingEmbers Oct 2012
May angels wings give your heart flight
and soft protect your dreams this night
keeping you safe crad'ling you light
until once more I hold you tight.
DieingEmbers Jun 2013
Dawn chorus be my lullaby
as morning paints the azure sky
and stars like embers slowly die
another day is born

Sweet starling sing me to my rest
and warm this heart beneath my breast
as day moves slow from east to west
and I for night now mourn

Sparrow and lark give melody
to dreams I seek nocturnally
as let thy song wash over me
from field and dew kissed lawn

Blackbird and rook give it thy base
as once more from the sky you chase
the waning moon with smiling face
and rend the night veil torn

Dawn chorus sing to me thy song
as I like night now move along
for in this moment I now long
to upon your wings be borne

Corn strands
like extentions in your
hair
worn loose around your naked shoulders,
the flowers on your dress
bunched up
revealing the warmth of sun kissed thighs.
I watch your bussom
rise and fall
as you lean back against the bales
your hand stretched out
beckoning
me to make hay whilst the sun shines.

There was a man from blighty
of mature age yet spritely
whom quipped and joked
till others choked
upon their laughter mighty

There was a man named Martin
that had a central partin
so he wore a hat
and thought that's that
until it started smartin
For my mate Martin just know the last line of Limerick two wasn't my first choice lol

With time...

Apples become cider

Grapes champagne

milk cheese

and a girl becomes a woman.

The best things in life take time
to mature.
Why Chase girls when what you really want is the touch of a woman.

Imprisoned thoughts finding freedom
within the damaged mind
mind not what they say
nor how they say it
speaking clearly with hijacked tongue
tongue tied and muted
fear gives new voice to old words
words hasterly spoken
drawn back
upon the lips like an unstrung bow
piercing retorts
and sharpened interlect
rend away the facade of common descency
allowing profanity space to breath
rank rancid epilogues becoming epitaphs
upon a soul trapped
within the confines of anothers understanding
of morality
long dead arisen the medicated zombie wakens
and a new day dawns
follow not the path of the poet when his words
are not his to command
and yet they command your respect and your derision

her teeth
lightly grazing back the skin
allowing the tip of her tongue
to tease the soft warm flesh
Slowing moving it in and out
as she ****** gently upon it
with hungry lips
It's juices flowing over up tilted chin
and softly squeezing fingers
she felt it pop
filling her throat with what she craved...

Michigan moon
how I envy you...

To spend each night with her
soft reflected in her eyes,

you see all...

You are the highlights in her hair
the light flush upon her cheek

you are the smile she flashes a friend
and you are there

you see all...

You are the slice of lemon in her drink
the comfort see seeks on sleepless night
you are memories of childhood

you see all...

Michigan moon
forgive me my envious nature

show to me but once her smile
that I too may bask in it's natural beauty

and pray

Let me see all.

Burn with me
the midnight oil
yet scent it with a kiss...

forgo sleep
within my arms
as dreams are made of this...

now hold tight
to this moment
my tender hearted miss.

Insomnia stole my dreams from me
and dropped them in a hole,
dug into my phsychy
deep within my soul.

My mind unmoored left drifting
in a sea of restless nights,
drownding in the darkness
of a world devoid of lights.

If only
I weren't so lonely
and the night was not so long

my heart aches
as it softly breaks
as I listen to our song

why oh why
do my poor eyes cry
please tell me if this is wrong.
DieingEmbers Nov 2012
You say try not to miss me
and I laugh...

don't tell me tell the wind
tell her
not to whisper your name
repeatedly

remind her not
to tease me with your scent
infusing
flowers with fresh baked bread

beg her not
to touch my skin
nor tease my uncombed hair
so playfully

Please tell her
not to dance around me
laughing so lightly
as to make me smile

as my missing you is like the breeze...

only natural.
DieingEmbers Jun 2013
Starlight blind mine eyes this night
let me not perceive the emptiness of days
morning pray hold back your dawning
to light the place my love no longer lays

Soft breeze if thou would but please
deaden my ears to the silence all around
gentle rain come once more disguise my pain
and wash away the memories yet bound

Fitful dreams replaced by nightmares evil screams
dumb now my impotent tongue
let me be oh unrelenting misery
and let at last my heartstrings be unstrung

Monmas boy!          You gonna cry?
Yes ...

because I'm stronger than you

I'm not afraid like you

I have feelings unlike you

tears don't make me weak
and loving my momma
makes me no less of a man

I'm not crying cause you hurt me
I'm crying because the one in pain is you

Too afraid to show emotion

How will you ever truly love
or welcome home your new born child

if you're trying too hard to be the man

your father

Made you

Be.

The Slobber Mouth lives deep down south,
hunting the Ner' do wells.
with candy canes and wooden trains,
with buzzers and with bells.

With fur of green, that's never clean,
and eyes so big and red.
Four filthy paws with unclipped claws,
he fills the woods with dread.

Spiked tail and horns and teeth like thorns,
fixed in a scarey smile.
A ******* nose and ragged clothes,
make up his unique style.

Baiting his traps with midday naps,
false promises and lies.
with wasted hours and April showers,
and soft spoke lullabyes.

Dust bunnies hop but never stop,
and never are they caught.
For they are wise to slobbers lies,
and all the gifts he's brought.

The Mites and Motes in winter coats,
so quickly scurry by.
for they too know never to go,
where Slobbers presents lie.

The feather bed floats over head,
the carpet thick with fluff.
He stamps his feet knowing he's beat
and screams enoughs enough.

He packs his sock and checks the clock,
so soon the house will rise.
Stomping away to sleep all day,
and hide from prying eyes.

Beneath your bed this sleepy head,
sits down to scheme and plan.
Tomorrow night if all goes right,
I'll catch the Bogeyman.

On tippy toes in bedtime clothes,
his teddy in his hand.
He waves goodnight to all in sight,
and leaves for faery lands.

Paddling
in the sea of tranquility
as solar winds
blow
stardust from your hair...

skimming
stones across the emptiness
of space
that flare and burn,
spinning webs of astral sparks
to capture
the imagination
as children wish watching them fall.

Sunlight captures your
retreating shadow
as once more the dark passers
into day...

and once more my wish

goes

unanswered.

Remove thy ribbon
that I may
breath in the scent
of sweet night hair
pressed soft
against my cheek
as thou rests
upon my proffered shoulder
thy warmth of touch
infused
with heat of unspoken passion
leadeth me to
gently
caress from thee
all thoughts
but those of you and I
with whispers
soft
I speaketh my heart
as you now
sleep
bathed in moonlight
held aloft
upon the promise
that when you awake

I will be waiting.
DieingEmbers Mar 2013
I claim the moon...

capturing it
softly
within my glass of wine

Chilled by night twice warmed
by my trembling hands

I touch it gently
to my lovers luscious lips

that she too
may share this night
with me

forever

in a kiss.

I'm more Picasso
than micheal Angelo,

More the scream
than Shakespeares dream.

I'm more soda pop and candy bar,
than French champagne and caviar.

More British  mini,
than Lamborghini.

More dandelion than red red rose,
more off the peg than designer clothes.

I'm more quiet nights in,
than goin clubbin.

More keeping it real,
than faking the deal.

So if you want more, but less is just fine,
then baby I'm yours as long as you're mine.

Morning arises in your

slow dance to our own beat...

What truths were found
within my kiss

soft reflected in your eyes,

that spoke my heart
in silent tone

and echoed in your sighs.

Speak not in words
thy tender need

for silence so profound,

and let the comfort
of my kiss

be forever where truths found.

Snow blind
unkind
as blurred shadows dance
within the ice...

her mirrored form
born of light

a snow summoned mirage

a phantom

a spectral entity beckoning
with long slender
fingers...

air borne
twirling flakes
covering her modesty

eyes echoing
the emptiness of meadows

a kelidascope of
blues and greens
amidst Hazel browns and golds

her lips azure
whisper upon the breeze
calling me
to follow

and follow I must

for I am hope
and unspoken promises

for in her arms are held
my dreams
for

I am the Spring.
