I gave to her a honey comb
to brush her golden hair,
and placed on her a daisy chain
around her neck so fair.
Foxgloves I gave to warm her hands
and blue bells for her wrist,
then from the mountain air I stole
the pine fresh perfumed mist.
A dress made up of fallen leaves
and stitched with silk worm thread,
and there a spider spun a veil
to place upon her head.
I gave to her a sweet bouquet
of fresh assorted blooms,
and took her hand and gave to her
a ring of wild mushrooms.
Beneath the stars I gave my heart
and to me she gave her kiss,
as two lives where bound as one
in the act of wedded bliss.

Lazing in the arms of nature

beneath
the warmth of passion...

whilst gentle breaths
enflame my skin

tenderly held and stroked lovingly

a smile creeps in shadow

slowly across my lips.

For sun breeze and unmown grass
so comfort me

when you cannot.
DieingEmbers Apr 2012
Your lips warm and soft
like summers breeze
alight like butterfly
with silken touch
from fresh blown scent
of woodland breath...

that tastes of fruit
and mountain dew
easy upon my tongue
that dances light
within the meadow
of your soul
open and free in this...

mornings first kiss.

The needle scratches as I thump the arm
vinyl on wooden casket
illuminates in the eerie half light
unseen voices echo
distorted
as dusty sleeves reveal their inner thoughts
they station themselves between
the speakers
spouting yesterday's memories
as once more the needle
relaxes me
and 33 going on 45
leaves me in hysterics
laughing for my own amusement
as Sinatra on helium
sings

I did it my way.
To those too young to remember this is a stereo radio/record player all terms relate to it's construction and function

Never
taint my lips
with your goodbyes
let them never taste the emptiness
of space
unfilled by your sweet mouth
pressed close
DieingEmbers Jun 2012
It's in those moments
when you're absent

you seem closest...

That is when every smell
every sound
every mundane thing brings
you to softly

to my mind
deeply engraved forever
on my heart...

when on my own

I am never alone

for you are always with me
a part of me
that is never apart.

Lipstick stained wine glass
lays upturned ...

a discarded stocking draped
across it's stem

as alcohol shed her inhibitions

one item of clothing at a time.

Softly you sleep
as I
unable to
keep tender vigil...

my waking dream
made flesh
sleeps
safe beneath
my thankful gaze.

Those eyes
see not mine own
tracing her lips
and chin
her perfect poise
framed
by gilded hair...

I brush back from
blushing cheeks
the waywardness
strands
and smile...

she knows not
I cannot sleep
for fear
I will awake.
DieingEmbers Oct 2012
My heart softly beats
beneath her gentle breast
that with each tender breath
keeps me further from my rest
for how could I sleep
knowing each night I waste
the chances given
to gaze in solitude upon her...

my peace of mind lays there with her
within those restful eyes
upon those yet still lips
and here,
here within this perfect bussom
beats my heart

forever.

I look like a badly stuffed cushion gone thread bare

as I pile on the weight and lose my hair

but as long as you love me I don't care

Greek gods arent as loved as an old teddy bear

Daisy petals
showered down
upon her unashamedly naked body
still wet from natures fluid touch
skinny dipping
smiling
smiling still as I remove one by one
her makeshift
angels wings that now enfold her
my eyes drink in her beauty
as my lips savour the taste
of mountain stream
infused with just a hint
of daisies.

As she slept
I penned such poetry
unto her
in honour of her gentle beauty
her lips giving
my heart the voice to speak
in tongues
a sonnet to her eyes
that saw beneath the facade
of blushed
and heated cheeks
to see the inner frightened child
that wept
only to be loved

and so

has she slept
I penned such poetry
for her

and

her

I lie back
drinking in the stars
like soda
bubbles
feeling the chill
of space
that echoes the emptiness
of my arms
that beg to mimic saturns rings
encircling you
drawing you close to me
to share my night
to bathe in moonlight
naked
caressed by solar winds
like unseen lovers hands
shooting stars
trickle endlessly
through my outstretched fingers
their wishes wasted
for no where in the darkened skies
lies the heavenly body
I desire
to
call mine own

one breath away from falling...

as I inhale your scent

your hair

free falling fingers trace
the unseen bonds

between your heart and mine

teasing playfully
your smile

from sleeping lips.

Again my want of you or' comes my need to sleep

as I give up this night

to love.

For one
solitary moment
of sheer
shared
pleasure
I would suffer
a life time
of indescribable pain
willingly
without
one complaint.

Too much time we've spent apart
it's like a splinter in my heart
festering and going septic
making my mind act like a sceptic
does she doesnt she I'm I wrong
if only I could bite my tongue
I know these voices love their lies
so why the tears wept from my eyes
spend time with me and let me snuggle
free my mind of this **** muggle
give me peace and say you love me
cause time apart is it's own insanity.

I'd sacrifice
all my tomorrows
for one night
with you
Give me 24hrs of heaven instead of a lifetime of hell

You Love me now
but what bout then
when
I was like those other men
brash and crude boyishly rude
toying with women like my food
I wasn't me not then not yet
so would you have loved me.. had we met
I bet
you wouldn't have couldn't have any sense you shouldn't have
best to know me now matured with age
the silver Tongue the gilt edged page
love me now forget my past
now that the dye of embers cast.

It's raining it's pouring
oh god this is boring
my mummy had said
if I went straight to bed
we'd go to the park  in the morning

It's thun'dring there's lightning
the whole thing is fright'ning
so im under my bed
with my hands on my head
coz it sounds like giants are fighting

It's windy it's blowing
i think that its snowing
In my mittens and scarf
that i warmed on the hearth
outside with my friends I am going

It's sunny I'm sweating
my mommy is fretting
her gardens a fright
her flowers a sight
because they all  need a good wetting

Soft petals open...

slowly
infusing the cool night air
with fresh
sweet perfume

warmed
gently upon the naked thighs
of exotic maidens...

dressed in shadows
and half
inviting smiles

their eyes promising summer fields
amongst the white
crisp
winter sheets

passion fruit
pressed gently to her lovers lips
to taste deep

the temptation

offered.

"Time now for bed" My Mummy said,
as we climbed up the stair.
Now in you get and don't forget,
to take your teddy bear.

But look and see, he's not with me,
not since this afternoon.
And it is late, well after eight,
we need to find him soon.

Oh maybe there, upon the chair,
or here beneath my bed.
He may be stuck, please take a look,
and check for Mr Ted?

I wonder if he's tricking me,
by hiding in my drawer.
No Mister Bear is not in there,
we need to search some more.

Please feel that lump, that bear shaped bump,
there halfway down the sheet.
That's not his nose, those are my toes,
upon my little feet.

It's late at night, I'm tucked up tight,
my pillow soft and deep.
But at days end, without my friend,
I feel I cannot sleep.

Just look once more, behind the door,
for we were playing there.
You clever child, My mummy smiled,
you've found your teddy bear.

So time for bed, for me and ted,
the even tide has come.
Turn off the light and say goodnight,
sweet dreams I love you mum.

Billy the Bear he had no hair,
as bald as bald could be.
And never mind that he's half blind,
with but one eye to see.

His nose is broke his voice a croak,
his arms and legs quite weak.
but that's okay you'd hear him say,
if only he could speak.

Cause though he's old he's never cold,
not tucked up next to me.
he's kissed good night and cuddled tight,
and loved so thoroughly.
Thought it was time to pen something sweet. But one eye is a play on button eye

Well it's 3am
and I'm taking in the stars
as your heart
still beats...

soft

beneath a winters moon,

I reach out to hold it...

to rest it
gently
in my hands.

I feel the love
and smile

Knowing somewhere close
you do the same

thinking
of me...

two made one
beneath shared skies

exchanging promises

within
each kiss blown.
Just a last look at the stars before I rest my tired eyes.

So many lost moments...

so many prescious kisses
untasted

arms that have felt the chill embrace
of your absence

bodies that occupy the same space
made strangers

but time and tide today held back
to make so sweet amends

as we once more share with one another...

one another.
