See the king in his cardboard castle
beneath his bridge of broken dreams
by the river of remorsefulness
that like the voices nightly screams
There's a beer can full of memories
and a burger full of death
and the things he thought he'd ougth to say
dangling from his breath
theirs stains upon his royal garb
that show just where he's been
and an emptiness within his eyes
that hide the things he's seen
his queen lies in her carriage
amongst her treasure so
and he wheels her round the city
when the lamp lights softly glow
Nobody ever sees them
nobody even cares
for the royals in their boxes
watching operas without airs
spare them not a second thought
as if you even would
for they have found each other
and a palace by the wood
they care not if you see them
as their lives a faery tale
in their kingdom made of cardboard
eating pizza three days stale
From a line by angelofprofanity from their poem In this world their permission sought and granted thanks Angel.

As you sleep
I lie awake watching you
imprinting upon my eyes
every line
every curve
every tiny little imperfection
and gentle nuance
of you
that I may with Morpheous
sweet grace
keep you close

a dream within a dream

The moon reflects soft
it's rays flowing
in stone thrown ripples
as I await this night
your touch.

The stars caught
in dew sodden cobwebs
shift position
in late evenings breath.

A twig breaks
a bird startled from rest arises
kissing tree tops
in open armed embrace.

And you where are you
amongst all this beauty
if not in my arms
you are always in my heart.

Hands blind my eyes
in whispered guess who
from breathy lips
and I silently smile my answer.

My hands upon yours
hold you there a moment to long
my heart aches my lips plead
and I turn expectant of your kiss.

Your smile frames your sweet mouth
pressed hard to mine
words lost in translation
of I love yous from occupied tongues.

Night falls in solitude of silent pines
their needles sewn blankets
of fresh crisp snow
where now I have my angel.

Last night
I died a little more,
stroking
empty cloth unwarmed.

Last night
I cried a little more,
tracing
you face in pillowed indentation.

Last night
I tried a little more
to
sleep without your goodnight kiss.

Last night
I lied a little more
saying
I don't miss your warmth beside me.

Last night
I slide a little more
towards
the longing left by your absence.

Last night
I died a little more
and
tonight I'll die again.

I rest beside you
reading poetry
written
upon your lips
puncuated
by every
gentle movement
of your eyes
each whispered breath
a private recital
that moves my heart
to tears
your beauty is both
the beginning
and the end
causing me to tenderly
comment
with
a solitary kiss.

Lay your hands on me
heal my inner scars
that I may know your touch
and feel your love...

Lay your hands on me
read my auras pain
that I may know the feel
of one whom cares...

Lay your hands on me
touch deeper than skin
that I may know the depth
you understand...

Lay my hands on you
cradling your  sweet smile
that I may know the taste
of such warm lips...

Lay my hands on you
pulling you closer
that I may know the warmth
of your body...

Lay your hand in mine
hold tight forever
that I may know for sure
I really touched you.

Cast back the curtains
let me gaze upon your beauty

soaped up and slippery...

your smooth skin
gleaming as water droplets
roll beneath my rough hewed touch
as I rub gently
in circles
along your bottom
breathing heavy
with the slap of wet leather
and torn shirt
I make you wet once more

You tore my heart out
swearing
it's for the best

you took your teardrops
and bathed
my open wounded chest

you then told me baby
it's time
you got some rest

you placed your love
within me
beneath my aching breast

and healed the scars
of others
where your fingers pressed

now I give  freely
what was
stolen by the rest

Hold it safe
treat it gentle
like a welcome guest

it beats now in music
in poetry
and in jest

for life gave me lemons
but you
gave me zest

you glide across your wrist
let me be the bottle
when you long to get ******
let me be the cigarette
you smoke through trembling lips
let me be the calories
You fear upon your hips
let me be the mirror dear
that lies when you undress
let me be the meds you take
when your minds a mess
let me be the phone call
unanswered by a friend
let me be the tear drops
you shed at each days end
let me be whatever
it is you feel you need
coz I will NEVER let you be...

I'll always intercede
Whatever whenever remember you've always got friends on hp.

Did my ears
mistake the sounds
of the wind
and rain
for your sweet voice...
whispering soft
I love you.

Or did my heart
just paint
those three words
upon your silken lips.

I know not
the truth of it
but let me in a kiss
a touch
speak clearly in return
when I say...

I love you.

let me
share with you
a moments peace...

let me stroke your free fallen hair
and nibble soft
your ears
your neck
your upturned chin

let me bite
and graze your lower trembling lip
and open mouthed
**** deeply on your tongue...

tongues entwined
dancing in one anothers mouths

lips wet and warm
locked

as we as one now move within the passion

of this kiss

Little dove
brought down by mans desire
to hurt
so tender a heart
of one so beautiful

her once gentle wings
now lay beneath her body

broken by her fall
by his deceitful lies
that stole from her her purity...

River otter weeps at sight of one so pained
his tears cleansing the wounds
anothers words
had caused

his touch comforting
easing her fears
as he uplifted with care what hate
cast down

he tendered to her night and day
and with kisses
healed
her wings allowing once more
her heart to soar...

Little dove flew far from him
weeping
fearing to stay
for fear he too would hurt her

or worse

she would hurt him in return...

but return she must
for she would rather know just one more day
within his arms
than a life time of doubt and regret.

Celestial eyes pray weep for me
in wishes turned to misery
scar the skies with trailing tears
as morning slow once more appears
midnight hour thy promise broke
as no sweet words of love were spoke
no lovers touch nor gentle kiss
pray tell me how it came to this
what sin of pride or arrogance
robbed me this night of sweet romance
am I as thou eternal ******
to face each day with empty hand
left to face the rising sun
alone afraid and here undone
will not my heart er' know the feel
of fantasy at last made real
once more then pray I wish in vain
that with your end you'll end my pain.

Today I set off walking from home to highways end,
not minding wind and weather in my search to find a friend.
I saw the sun arising and I saw it as it set,
and still I keep on walking as my friend as yet unmet.
I found a young girl crying leaving puddles on the ground,
so I bid her walk beside me as for yet my friend unfound.
We saw a man so nervous that he quickly tried to hide,
but together we encouraged him to come walk by our side.
A woman possessed by demons that doubted her self worth,
was the next to join our party as we walked this pleasant earth.
Children in need of guidence and adults that lost their way,
slowly joined our gathering as we searched both night and day.
Young and old of many colours many creeds and different faiths,
made up our growing numbers of the long forgotten waifs.
Well we lifted up the fallen and we carried the sick and lame,
and searched as one together for the one for which I came.
We gathered to us safely the mute the deaf the blind,
and held their hands to lead them for not one was left behind.
So although I searched in ernest my friend was never found,
for a friend is but a stranger that you've yet to invite round.
Remember then whilst walking in an unfamiliar place,
that the person that you meet next could be wearing a sad face.
It would only take a moment to change it to a smile,
and maybe you can join us as we walk the golden mile.

and I am lost...

DieingEmbers Oct 2012
You're in my thoughts right now
as I stand here watching the stars twinkling softly
the light morning breeze playing gently or' my skin
it's so peaceful I could swear I heard your heart beating.

Somewhere a bird sings as another takes to flight
did she say to him those self same words
did he too hear her heartbeat
beating out his name.

As yet the flowers sleep
their scent but a pleasant memory
but soon, too soon
morning will wake them from their beds
as must you and once more leave me,

but for now
whilst night still keeps her tender vigil
I'll think only of you sleeping
and hope
that I too play softly on your mind
as you
so play on mine.

I want to know what loves about,
to understand it inside out.
What makes it tick what makes it tock,
what makes it roll what makes it rock.
I've got a scalpel and a pen,
to cut then note then cut again.
In honesty I'm not that sure,
this broken heart knows love no more.
I think I've severed any hope,
of knowing how the lovers cope.

A faded photograph
Is all I have
of you...

when night terrors
drive me
from my bed
denying both sleep
and dreams of you.

This image in black and white
smiling softly
speaks in gentle lines
such love
as no one man
should ever own
for fear
of losing
both his soul and her heart.

She loosened the ribbons
and let the wrapping fall
and showed to me the smile
that really said it all
the gift I gave was laughter
the gift received was love
as I gazed upon her beauty
and breathed in the scent of dove
for her soft skin she had pampered
and moisturised with care
and made of her owb body
a gift we both could share
so long had I forgotten
the pleasure one could find
from a little imagination
and a wild and wicked mind
her gift was given freely
it had only cost her time
and she winked and smiled coyly
as she lay her hand in mine
I don't ask for fortune
and I've no need of fame
when I have such a woman
whom can set my soul aflame
the days may not be rosy
but the nights are always hot
and I can say quite honestly
Im happy with my lot
DieingEmbers Nov 2012
I'll meet you in the park, yes the usual place
no don't be silly clear skies there's not a trace
oh hold on I see it one ******* cloud
on this day of all days, for crying out loud
ok you bring a brolley and I'll grab one too
I'm not letting the weather keep me from you
what? What about the picnic and the radio
well put it in some Tupperware and.. oh I know
we can improvise the music from the busy street
as we slow dance together to the car horn beat
so no high heels just wellies and a big rain mac
to replace that little number you bought in black
you don't have to worry you'll still look sweet
as we enjoy our us time on that old park seat
so I'll see you there in twenty. Of course I do
I can't say it, no as I'm standing in a queue
ok I'll whisper but I'm not so sure you'll hear
because of my heart beating knowing you're near
Now hurry as I miss you and your sweet embrace
just you and I together in our secret place.

I lick the stamp upon your letter
sealed with a kiss to make it better

press soft the edge and stroke each fold

dripping wax to fix my seal

words soft written by my heart
keep me so close when you knee-part
Excuse the final word play

of one more chance
to say

I love you.

Dawn breaks
softly
within my lovers lips...

as I kiss her

good morning

as every morning's good
when I
can so easily

taste last night
upon her fragrant breath

as my tongue
rolls slowly across her tongue...

welcoming her back
my aching need of her
mouthed

but never spoken,

for what need of words have we

when silence
says
so clearly and so honestly

I love you.

I am made a peeping tom
a voyuer
shunned by moon and stars

the darkness enshrouds my form
a cloak
to hide my tears and scars

your image danced I fained away
afraid
the shadows mask my fear

the curtains drawn the night light dimmed
dowsing me
as I stand alone knowing you're near

I turn to leave and kiss the breeze
with hope
that your open window will receive

for as Romeo I am undone
no Juliet
to share this love and so I leave

I am made a peeping tom
a voyuer
a lover lost to late night needs

so if er' you need a friend
a lover
know soft a heart for you here bleeds
