Consistency is one kind of Discipline,
capacity for change is another.

Dimension upon universe
our fantasies spill out in words and emotions,

Tame my wild mind and ground me to the earth
because i am lightning without thunder.

Unfurl my brow,  because it takes one less muscle to smile.

Ease my heart with 3 words...
Cosmic Space Pancakes?

Teach me about loving myself enough to say yes to myself and no to the people who were never meant to be mine.

Whisper your carnal caramel luxuries into my skin,

i guess you must see my scars as beauty.

Play with my hair so i can fall asleep on a floating bed of lotus flowers ,
Time bends at the flick of a finger or the brush of a leg.

We exist only as dust motes floating in a stream of light ..
Energies , manifesting as human for a while ,
Heartbeats deteriorating ,
Toenails growing ,
Idea birth-ers.

It must be the chemistry, or something in the air,
but i think with you i won’t be cold.

I admire your ability to see things through.
I admire your kindness and honesty.

So , one sunny winter’s day.
We’ll execute our escape plan.

indie music
dancing shoes
indie music
doesn't cure blues
it starts them

indie music in the rain
indie music standing in trains
indie music for the deranged

indie music for the off-genre-ed
indie music for the off-centered
indie music for mis-fits
that aren't actually
misfits

indie music for the masses
indie music with glassless
eyeglasses
indie music for the misunderstood
or maybe that's all music...

indie music
dancing shoes
indie music
inspires blues
i know the meter and rhyme is ****. i also don't give a ****

The Noose
The fatal revolting emotion called feelings
That insert and lodge themselves into your unsuspecting heart
Which if left to fester will turn acidic and devour you from the inside out
Bury thoughts of an unreciprocated or lost love lest they bury you.
I did not choose to love you.

I am never sure of anything.
I have questioned and agonized, second guessed
Every aspect of my life
For thirty seven years.
And now I am sure of something
It is an impossible thing
And it shreds me, from within.

We do not choose who we love.

Everything I ever believed
Was a misunderstanding of the true nature
Of all that we aspire to.
Thirty seven years
And I knew nothing.
I am on autopilot, every atom reaching out
Every thirsty cell screaming for a drink of you.

I think you love me, too.
I read what Yasmin
had to say
in her astrology column
to-day
she said I'd be compelled
to pen a story
she also mentioned
that I'd get a surprise
one of those
would be a sight for
sore eyes
she went on to say
that I'd be working behind
the scenes
she got that one right
as I do a lot of stuff
at the back of a screen
her accuracy
in making astrological predictions
is absolutely unreal
Yasmin has the foresight
of a seer
her vision and insight
is second to none
tomorrow
I'll be reading her column
with much interest
to see if she sees
a gentleman
on the horizon
for me
to date
she hasn't envisioned
that in my star chart
but I'll keep reading
her column
till she gets
that part of my story
one hundred percent correct

Better grab some while you can.
Remember when you said "no, you ain't my man?"
Years from now you'll be alone,
and I'll be writing novels, my talent full grown.
A single tear from your eye will fall,
but don't even bother wasting time making a call.
You made a decision, now you gotta live by it,
and they'll be paying me to speak, tv and ****.
Someday, your boyfriend will by a book,
he'll read you one line from it and you'll know its me without even a look.
You have a man, he's on your arm,
when you see my name on the shelves, I'll be long gone.
You'll realize what you had,
but you threw it all away, you must've been mad.
Someday, you'll see that it's all true,
no need to debate, I'm the best at what I do.

You might be thinking "****, this boy's arrogant"
but you gotta fake it 'till you make it and then a little more.
But for now, I'll sell my **** to buy drugs
and when I'm all out of **** I'll start stealing
and when I've stolen everything, I'll start earn it.
And when I've earned the highest accolades
I'll just smile
because I told you so,
and you told him he was the one.

Someday you'll cry because there won't be a sunrise,
and you'll realize the mistake you've made.
I may be a loser ****** right now,
but the next bump will be last
just like the one I blew five minutes ago
just like the first time I ever tried it a high school bathroom
just like every bump in between.
