To the man I love.
Marge Whyte Dec 2018
Here’s how I feel about you.
When I see you, my heart skips a tiny beat
It’s almost like I’m swept off my feet.
I look into your eyes and I see a child, wanting to be loved but the world made you cold.
I want to be by your side, I’ll be the one you can hold.
I close my eyes and I see the darkness and destruction that I have caused, I open them and I see the light you have brought.
I want to express the emotions I hold and how quickly it grows.
The way your kiss sends ecstasy down my bones, the way my soul aches for you when you’re away.
I want to rip all the pain from you and take away that knife,
The one that constantly stabs you with anger and confusion.
I’ll be here, in almost total submission.
As scared as I feel, I don’t wanna leave.
You love me in all my weirdness,
And I wouldn’t trade that for anything in the world.
