Relations are hard to maintain often with the best you do
still do spare even a stranger sweet words one or two
there is no levy on sweet dealings no price heavy to pay
when you greet the unfamiliar you only make your day.

There's no meekness in being good
all strangers we are at this place
blessed are those who wish they could
make each face manifest happiness.

You may have seen rise of many a wall
gaping void in seeming closeness
you would do well not to turn cynical
but try to make the world a better place.

Even your best efforts would not ensure
no blood leaves a stain on your hand
but if you can bring even one ache a cure
you justify your place on this land.

SONG of the ROYAL FOOD-TASTER
It’s always feast day
at the Court of King Eatmore
and Queen Yumyum
Bring it on, dish after dish -
anything that’s Meat, we’ll eat
When I arrived at Court
from my far-off village
I was but skin and bones
Now as Trusted Royal Taster
I am as big as Her Majesty’s –
Burp! – ****

SONG of the ROYAL JESTER
Bring it on
anything that moves
We’ll spike it through
for the spit -
with the spike through the mouth
and coming out the other end
For what is man and woman
King and Queen
but a mouth open
and a releasing rear?

CHORUS
Oh let us eat, eat, eat
drink and sate and ingratiate
We love
anything that crawls or creeps
or flies or moves
We can crunch and munch and digest
and add to our folds and waves -
for the World-sized King he said:
“Bring it IN!  Something local,
anything Exotic! Bring it IN!”

And the Immense Queen she screamed:
“Cream! Cream! Cream! More Cream
and Oil on my Pig’s Head!”

SONG of the ROYAL JESTER**
Ah, for what else did Nature fashion
life to be? – one way in and one way out
and lots to retain
Humanity is but a mouth and an ****
connected well in an ever-emptying barrel
Haunting memories prevail,
Well into the night.

-M.H.-
When the night falls
I falter to the what ifs
and drift into our old familiar seas
Like in a dream
One in which I wish I wouldn't wake
and hope to shake for it's breaking me
I carry the weight of every embrace
Now left to waste in the empty space left in my heart
Where you've made your mark
Before our depart
Carving your name
With such a beautiful art
You are my star so far
I beg my mind to stop envisioning you
I implore it to but it wont
and I don't know how to deal with this dread
That lays beside me each night in bed
I couldn't stop the tears while writing this one...he's the one that got away.
freeing, salty
tears i cry
taste like the ocean
haunting

when will i be set free

the ocean
contains my tears
salty, bitter, cold
haunting me

set me free
trying
hiding her fears
no trust. given up hope
tying to love again, needing
some love
