Stark against steel gray sky
Steeples rise sharp
Grazing lowered clouds
of hazed vapor.
Hallowed halls echo
ancient steps treading
remembered paths.
Whispered breaths
of voices once raised
in praise and worship
play soft on gentle breezes
in the folds of time long gone.
Inspired by a photo of an ancient church still standing.

I want to feel your depth, but my feet walk shallow in your waters.
I want to walk your earth, but these stones beneath get much hotter.
I want to drift your winds, take me far I don't want to remember this place.
I want to take your pain, I see it I know you see through this soul-less face.

My mind is now your territory and you won't let me in.
So I sit and contemplate the reasons you did me in.
I'm twisted as I'll ever be behind this soul-less face.
Why don't we just close the distance and we'll begin this race.

I never knew, that you could get this close to me.
I can't deny, the life that you make me see.
I should've known, the sun would never shine for me.
You take the light, from my soul-less face.

At first you said you'd never leave me till the very end.
Well open up your eyes and see that you were wrong again.
These autumn leaves fall like my need to see your soul-less face.
I know I'm lying to myself but this is all a waste.

soul-less face, soul-less face

A gentle tempest stormed my lawn; it stood
me still and then was gone. Anchored,
awestruck in my place by beauty and euphoric
grace, I thought of Spinoza's God, infinity's
precise design, the perfect math of Everything –
our love, a quotient of Divine.

I'm looking for something searching through and through
But how will I find it if I do not  know what it is
I tried deriving it from a kiss
I didn't find it even though the kiss was bliss.

I'm looking for something searching for it though and through
But how will I find it if I do not know what to do,
I couldn't find it so I choose to vandalize you.

Yet you allow it why is it so....
Have you found what your looking for
Or havn't you thought it through
Or are u just so certain that I'm the one for you.

Are you happy or are u just trying to be
I'm looking for something searching through and through
I'm looking for something....it must be me.

Twist up the spout that’s draining
into the gutter.
Cover the cracks,
Bloom into summer.

Lines and swirls
Circled in confusion
Crossing over
And back in illusion

Their minds entangled
And their bodies twist
They’re now in knots
That form a list

Of beautiful nothings
That scrawl themselves
Black and pretty
Across the shelves

Triangles leapt
From pen to paper
Love was sketched
Ink turned to vapor

“I love you’s” were exchanged
Hugs given
Desperate cries
All lies, forgiven

Hands waved goodbye
Heads nodded in sorrow
Fingers waggled
Air kisses follow

Feet paced away
Reluctant and slow
Regaining speed
They say, “Hello.”

Feathery blond hair and watery blue eyes
That glow like sun reflecting of the bottom of a pool.
Sad orbs humbled by the way life has treated you,
Now that your older , a year or two, you have slowed
To a calmer calculation of the ugly world.
You hold your head up like you need to see,
Not like you are
too proud,
and you speak,Only when you need heard not just
To be loud.
And you see more with your soft glow than
I could ever share
out loud.
We speak more between shared looks
Caught between quickened glances
And a slow pace than words shared
At face to face or hostile stances,
More in your actions
Then in an element more fake, you take
The hard things with me, without a blink
Hesitation or the loss of sleep.
I trust you more than anyone ,anything,
And you trust me the same, I think,
I thank you for being Stone with a soft face,
The strongest and fast paced, the calmest
And well placed, thanks for being the one I save,
And being my little brother  still ,
Long after your old enough, big enough to ****
My fragile dreams.
It seems between you and I nothing changes,
I’ll probably never have you read this , same way we never say it,
Promises are better kept before the day their stated.
But I’ll be what you need,
And today's beast we’ll slay it.

looking for familiar shapes
in the silhouettes,
as we watch the sun go down.

we might only be replacing
past lovers with another,
but I'll take it for now.
