Leave me on my own again
go away again
for you
I will miss you
at each end of the day
when you are away
and it will do my mind in
just as
try to sleep
so woman
I ask
You why?

A day at work
without any
rock and roll
just sends my mind into spasms
it drifts off away out into intergalactic space
I feel my heart race
then I have to make up words of my own
then my surrealism kicks in
so a new adventure begins
dreams from the black hole
which is my mind
and my life
people greet me

Hi P@ul  !

hope you've had a bad day!

A telephone wakes me up in the morning
my sleepy eyes stunned by the new light of day
why did I get up, what the hell, was thinking
must this day go on
but the sun calls me out into the cold of a new day
I hope it will better tomorrow
for sleep may return any minuet.

For dear friend The DedPoet.
Regards The DedPoet happy returns    :-)      P@ul.

I need a restart
press my buttons
kick my heart
put the life blood back
for I have a universe to be in
so press restart.

Taken into the boardroom
and sitting on a really big chair
the MD did say
I see some new faces
at that Mrs Brink over the side giggle away
and did stare right back at me
then right on the left front me
Mrs Bossom did wink at me
I blushed think I got that right
for I was not used to the boardroom dancing shoes
or the way they move
so I got right up on that boardroom table
hitting my head on the lights
and unbuttoning my shirt
did dance on
one step to the left two right
till I came to brink
at that I fell right off.

Roger Turner - Poet
I went in to the tavern
Left the sunlight and the warmth
It was then I heard the music
Coming from the dark
It was sweet and it was soulful
It got into my skin
It felt just like an arrow through my heart

I stood back in the shadows....quiet
As he played so tenderly
then, stepping out I scared him
saying "that's how music ought to be"
I told him to keep playing more
He said now he couldn't play
I told him "sit there, and ignore me"
"hear what the music has to say"

Close your eyes and follow
Let the music give direction
Just make a song selection
Go where the music wants to go
Close your eyes and wander
Feel the music flowing through you
You're a victim of it's voodoo
Go where the music wants to go

I talked him into playing later on that night
I told him that he would be just fine
As long as he kept his eyes closed tight
And let his heartbeat keep in time
The band quit playing one by one
They listened to the music and his words
He never noticed, not one bit
and he played stuff no one ever heard

He closed his eyes and followed
Let the music give direction
Just made a song selection
Went  where the music wants to go
Closed his eyes and wandered
Felt the music flowing through
as a victim of it's voodoo
Go where the music wants to go

The crowd just stood and listened
That's the part he's missin'
They don't care bout the player
They only care about the tunes
So, close your eyes and follow
Let the music give direction
Just play what you are given
You'll have them howling at the moon

He closed his eyes and followed
Let the music give direction
Just made a song selection
Went  where the music wants to go
Closed his eyes and wandered
Felt the music flowing through
as a victim of it's voodoo
Go where the music wants to go

me
I am all the smile ing words
do not know what I sit on
is it the celling
or flour

and
on top
of this
it must have rained
for I saw nothing of today
but I am sure my life will be the same
Tomorrow
and yesterday
for they are just words
meWords.

A man I did meet
stuck by his bicycle
in a thing
that the council had put there to greet
it was for him a great obstacle
but for me
well made me chuckle

Did not do a technical at school then
I did say
he looked at me maybe thinking
I wish this man wound go away
I stopped and looked
his pride, no panic
became more
he pushed and pulled
only in
as far as I can see
a bent back wheel as he road on his way, from me
I smiled.

Roger Turner - Poet
I can not sing songs, but I do
I used to not write, but who knew
So I sing and I write
And I do both every night
I can not sing songs, but I do

My voice is not good, but so what
It's the only **** voice that I've got
I sing what I know
I sing high and sing lo
My voice is not good, but so what?

I wish I wrote songs, but I can't
My poems mostly rhyme, and some rant
I can not write songs
But, I'll write all day long
I wish I wrote songs, but I can't

I can not play music, I just write
I don't write real deep, only light
I wish I could play
But, I can't so I say
I can not play music, I just write

I'm glad that you like what I share
I can't sing a song, but who cares
I'll feel like a ****
But, next stop....youtube
I hope you drop by...once I'm there!!!
After I hit 100,000 reads (I'm at 91,100 and change in 9 months)...I am considering starting a channel on youtube, reading my work. Let me know if you would check it out....I hope you all do. I appreciate all of the supportive words so far from everyone. ( and the negative words too!!)
